I would like to have had the opportunity to complete the rental/purchase online. That would have alleviated the problem of taking an Uber to Hertz for a the pick-up, only to have the lady behind the counter tell me I can't use my credit card because it's also a debit card. I told her it's a credit card and I can run credit....when she holds her finger on my card and very arrogantly say's "seeeee.....it says 'debit' on it", pointing to the word debit, in an exaggeratingly slow voice (just to make sure I got it). Then she sits back down and goes back to Tetris or whatever on her computer and never once even looks back. I simply said "alright, bye"; and her response without another look was "bye!" Good thing there was an Avis right next door; and I won't be making the mistake of going to Hertz again. It wasn't just the poor hire behind the desk; it was the company's entire approach to almost blatantly ensure these types of problems happen.
