Pros: The service counter was quick, we had a small problem and it was resolved quickly and easily. The manager, Sheila, was fun to talk to and worked quickly to get people their cars.
Cons: When I tried to use a coupon at the desk, I was told I had to call customer service, so I did. The guy on the phone made the rental cost about $80 MORE with my discount coupon. The. Manager had to fix it. The car had a problem with the wheel rubbing on something when we had four people riding in it.

Twice the price of the Kayak offer
Pros: The car was clean and nice, and they processed me pretty quickly
Cons: What's the point of choosing a rental company according to a quote if, on site, they more than double it with fees and taxes and insurance you can't really decline? There's nothing honest about such policy.

Overall a good experience...
Pros: Good Counter Customer service, very good at up sales without being pushy.
Cons: Didn't explain the process of choosing your vehicle from several rows of cars, I spent10 minutes looking for number he wrote on my contract...don't very friendly or helpful person working in the parking lot.

Don't do it! Do not book with Dollar!!!
Cons: Let me start by saying I have never written a negative review, but out experience was so horrible I couldn't refrain from earning other. We rent cars at least three times a year and renting with Dollar has been the worst traveling experience to date. When we went to pick up our car the line was huge. All the other rental agencies weren't. We waited for over 45 minutes in line. When we went to the counter the employee, James, was a JERK! He was arrogant, rude and it was the worst customer service we have ever received ANYWHERE! We had booked a deal on Kayak that said that it would fit 5 people in a car and a huge suitcase and they gave us a Ford Fiesta. How was this supposed to fit my family of 5? When we explained this to him he said he could get us a bigger car but it would be and additional $20 a day- making our total bill now more handouble what we were paying. We tried to explain the situation and he kept being rude back. He kept yelling "next in line", while we were up there taking to him trying to work it out. I told it was rude he wasn't helping us and trying to push us out. He said we were taking to long and to go back in the back of the 45 minute line. I told him we couldn't afford $20 a day for just moving up one size of vehicle and he said that was too bad because they were sold out and he obviously didn't care or didn't want to help people out. Did I mention that we had 3 kids with us under the age of 5 and had just come off a 4 hour flight? We finally agreed to his ridiculous terms so we could get a car for our kids who had now waited with us at Dollar for well over an hour. James was so rude and apathetic. It would have been nice to get the rental we had originally signed up for and to have had someone with great customer service. Dollar may be cheaper but they stick it to you in the end. So disappointed.

Car was excellent, but the paperwork was not
Pros: The car was clean, in good condition, ran well and served my needs perfectly. Picking the car up was mostly efficient and dropoff was easy.
Cons: Two points. First, the Sales Rep at Atlanta tried to trick me into purchasing non-mandatory insurance by deliberately not offering 'no insurance' as an option and displaying only insurance options that incurred additional fees. This is a lie by omission and is decidedly shady. Purchasing even the cheapest insurance would have doubled the price of my rental contract. Second, the Dollar/Thrify site is NOT clear that use of a Debit card mandates a credit check and can lower one's credit score. To quote a lawyer friend who was with me at the counter, "That's a class-action lawsuit waiting to happen."

Liars and Overcharged me hundreds of dollars
Pros: Initial pick up process and one follow up call
Cons: I was told an extension of the rental was easy and was given a fee. I was told that switching the car out to my brothers name was not an issue and dropping it off at a different airport location was no problem. When the time came for all of that, there was a huge problem. None of what was promised to me was honored and all because of a lack of management on hand, lack of knowledge by the staff and horrible customer service. All of this complied led to overcharges and INCORRECT charges to me and my brother. I am in the middle of trying to get the refunds issued but it has yet to happen.

Pros: Long checkin line managed by a cheerful, efficient manager. Kept the line moving. Video check in so cool! And helpful
Cons: My issue- needed a cheap car but happy to choose a Toyota! I love them. Yaris was surprisingly comfortable for a tall person.
Cons: Being my vehicle would be there at 12pm, was there at 11;30 am told to come back at 12;00. Came back 12;00 no vehicle. Agent then told me it would be 45 minutes Late. Had to leave was on a tight schedule planned months before. Recieved call from agent at 1;17 pm that vehicle had finally arrived. I should have been notified at 11;30 the vehicle was not going be there. Will never rent from this office again. Had to rearrange whole vacation schedule at the last minute on thanksgiving eve.

Pros: I did receive a phone call notifying me.
Cons: No cars available to honor reservation. I did receive a phone call about 30 minutes prior to my reserved pick up time notifying me of the situation. Not much help when you need a car though. No attempt to help me secure a rental with another company, no assistance at all.
