Hello I first came to your location a half an hour earlier to find out that the car was dirty when I receive the car 45 minutes later the car was full of cat hair dog hair I was very upset I did tell them I was not taking that car they need to get me another car which then they had to go another half an hour to get a different vehicle when I receive the vehicle getting on the road I observed a check engine light was on at that moment I had no time to turn around already hour and 15 minutes late leaving I was very unhappy I didn’t mention it to them2.0 Poor

Staff quite rude and unfriendly. I was not told they closed at 5 pm. I arrived after a slight plane delay about 530 pm. They were all still at the facility but would not acknowledge me. I had to get s taxi for $42 to my hotel and an Uber back the next day for $32 to pick up the car. Also lost a pro rata one day share of the car rental.Cons:

First guy in Charleston told us it would be $210 at pick up and made us buy the fuel package (so we didn’t have to fill up before we dropped off the car) and told us that they charge for a full tank and refund you the difference based on fuel level at drop off. (LIE) the woman at drop off refused to refund the difference (we dropped off with half a tank left) she made us leave and drive 10 minutes to the nearest gas station and fill up (only cost $20 and they tried to charge $80) and after dropping it off she tried to charge us extra for the time we had the car!! We had it less than 24 hours and she tried to charge us 2 days rate. She finally gave up trying to rob us but delayed us just enough time to miss the shuttle and have to pay to get to our cruise. Never will we use Budget car rental again!!!Cons:

I waited over 5 hours for a car because they were sold out even though I had a reservation through you. Customer service on the phone hung up on me and kept saying they couldn’t help me find another location. They didn’t adjust my rental time for the same rate when it was there fault the cars were not there. The phone representative suggested I was late or the rental agent was incompetent. I had to drive across country in less than 24 hours to avoid a late fee even though I technically wasn’t late. I was given a free upgrade which was not good because the gas mileage sucked8.8 Very good
