Pros: Absolutely nothing
Cons: I booked for pick up in phoenix but the reservation was in mesa instead. completely ruined my travel plans. Will never use Kayak or Hertz ever again

Cons: I Entered PHX, the sky Harbor Airport code into the kayak search and got reserved a car at Phoenix Mesa Airport 40 minutes away. I will never use a kayak.com booking again.

Pros: Car was as expected.
Cons: I booked thru kayak requesting pick up/drop off at phx sky harbor. Kayak reserved it at Mesa regional airport. A big difference between $34/day reserved and $119/day actual. Luckily, Hertz honored the mesa daily rate, but had to charge more taxes upping the overall rental significantly. What a hassle. Also happened to person next to me in line. Seems like a kayak software error. Will not use again. Also, Hertz used vtc kiosks instead of in person rental agents. Sucky. Still had to wait in a long line while waiting for the machines to warm up and expert Tammy from Florida to come online. She was good but the vtc was very off putting and still required a manager's override so I had to hunt one down.

Hertz is THE WORST
Pros: The only part of the car that fell apart was a piece of the ceiling. And, when it fell no one was hurt.
Cons: arrived at Hertz at airport and saw 30-40 people sitting on the floor. Assistant Manager telling those in the long line that there was a 90 minute wait for cars, once you'd checked in. Check in took one hour of standing in line. At check in counter we're told we're now on the waiting list. We say we've reserved a minivan, and don't want to be told in 90 minutes that there aren't any available. Clerk wisely agrees and disappears to speak to Manager. He comes over, speaks to us and then disappears. Another 30 minutes go by. (And nobody has gotten off the floor yet either to go get a car). He says regretfully that in fact I can't get a minivan. there is one at the Mesa Airport, however. Usually, he says, they'd give us a car to drive over there to pick up the van. But he says he has no cars. At all! But he says, just take a cab, get a receipt, and the manager at Mesa will reimburse me. Well, that didn't happen. And the cab cost $86! Bottom line: flying time NYC to Phoenix - 4.5 hours. Hertz office to hotel -5 hours. Hertz is the worst!

Cons: I am handicap with loss of lower left leg amputation hertz wanted to charge 36.00 to drive me to airport. I was not to happy about that. But it is what it is. They should have transportation for the handcat when a person can't walk to far. Hertz customer service at skyharber. Phoenix. Is very poor. I wont rent again because of this. Thank you . Pros: Quick , easy pick up
Cons: Very long wait to turn in keys. Key drop off box not visible and agent spent over 20 minutes with one customer. When she finally acknowledged me the transaction took 10 seconds.

Pros: Car was clean as promised.
Cons: Pick-up took a terribly long time for them to find a car for us even though the lot was full. The over $200 hold on top of the original price was outrageous for someone travelling. Average people don't have a couple thousand dollar limit they can just hold while travelling and still having to pay for hotels, gas and other expenses. Brought back car with a full tank and they still charged an extra $15 for fuel fee?
Pros: New car, clean, upgrade, full tank of gas, quick kiosk rental. Free ice water!

Perfect vehicle for the trip
Pros: The Vehicle a 2016 GMC Yukon XL. All the features that anyone could want. triple zone climate controls, heated and cooled front seats, heated steering wheel. touchscreen navigation. The reservation process was smooth, the pickup was without any issues either. Drop off was dead simple.
Cons: We had 1 issue, a dead battery while on the trip. we were in Niagara Falls, ONT, Canada and the day we went to check out, the car didn't start. I figure it was the remote fob, so I called to get information on how to get into the car if the remote is dead, without a key. discovered that the key is hidden in the remote. and further figured out that the car battery was dead, after getting the car open.
So I called back informed them of the issue. After a longish wait the CSR, informed me that there would be a $80 charge for the battery jump start service. Now I'm assuming that was because we were in Canada and not the states at the time. I declined that and called my Insurance co and they set it up and had a tow truck there in 15 mins.

Pros: They were totally accomodating and helpful when we needed to adjust our reservation, even though it was a holiday weekend.
Cons: It was $180 for a day but it was a holiday weekend so that probably factored into the price.

Pros: Very easy and fast pickup and drop off.
Cons: They wanted to charge $11 per day to add my husband as a driver. I have never had this experience before. Usually it's free to add your spouse.

Cons: I was not able to complete my transaction due to not owning a credit card. I have a bank visa/debit and they require a visa not attached to a bank account. Very unhappy .

Pros: I dropped the car off after hours so i really can't say, but I'm sure it would have been just as great as the pick up team.
Pros: Rented a van over NASCAR weekend, and they told me twice it would be cey busy. Then called to confirm, then called to confirm again. I changes my pickip date without any issues.

Pros: Our booking was mistakenly from wrong location but the airport staff from Enterprise was so nice and supportive and made some quick adjustments and saved us a lot of headaches. Then the staff at car pickup location were just as friendly and cordial. I am impressed with service. Enterprise staff at Gateway airport (Mess, Phoenix) you guys/Girls Rock. 5 stars not enough

Make sure marks and dents are noted on rental form
Pros: Great value and staff member took me back to friends house.
Cons: Nothing was noted on the rental form about the scratches and dents. Staff said if it was under a certain length, they didn't care. There were scratches on the car at the time.
Upon returning car, we were told we were responsible for the same scratches by a different guy. If these had been noted on the checkout form, it wouldn't have been an issue.

Attn: Pamela Nicholson Mesa store has room for improvement!!
Pros: After finally talking too someone at Sky harbor airport, it was a relief to know cars were available and the switch could be made. It is a 40 mile round trip and by 8:00 pm, we had switched the cars. The staff at the airport was helpful and concerned about customer satisfaction.
Their actions may be the only thing keeping me as a customer.
Cons: I rented a car for my parents who were quite happy to get an upgrade.Little did I know, after meeting them, that the car was obviously smoked in. It was not detailed and the cigar smell was overwhelming. Upon a call to the store, I was told by staff,(Dallas), in order to trade cars, I had to drive out to Sky Harbor airport for the exchange.
It is a disappointment to me having to switch cars; as I am not vacationing in Phoenix, I live here. I became almost a 5 hour expedition to navigate the prompts on line and actually find someone willing to by-pass protocol and help me help my parents.
I'm sure that all departments have their flowcharts, but it would be nice if they were more concerned about the satisfaction of the customer instead of transferring them around and around just to clear their lines.
I was expecting some kind of compensation for the inconvenience, all I received was a 3 gallon credit for gas. Ha! It cost me a whole day rental to straighten this mess out!.

Reservation made but NO cars!
Cons: I made reservation through Kayak site, drove to the rental cars company and then they told me that they didn't have any cars.
Big disappointment !!
Next time I won't make reservations through third site.
Pros: car smelled like pot. the rental agent said it was legas and nothing he could do. Our car was going to the shop and no other cars were available. after going to a casino there was a police checkpoint and they had my wife and I sit on the curb for one hour in the rail while they searched the car. It was one in the morning and we are in our 70's. Never another avis

Pros: was close to where we were staying and was convenient. thought we got a fair rental amount except for the additional cost - see dislike. selection was not great - rented a mid-size car and got a hyndai elantra.
Cons: went to pick up car and asked for discount for AAA or AARP. Was asked for our aarp card which we gave and received a discount for. Then after we went to pay, was told we needed insurance ($60+) for an additional driver, but if we had used aarp coverage would have been included at no additional charge. he didn't explain that before and he was the one who asked for our AAA card. Explained to use aarp he would have to redo everything and we had already waited about half an hour so we went ahead and paid the additional amount.
