Pros: The ease of renting the vehicle. The friendly staff.
Cons: The only problem I had was it smelled like Marijuana. I found a piece of the package that was for "rolling papers" under the passenger side seat, along with a pair of men's red/black socks.
I did call and report it and asked if it was ok for me to put some carpet cleaner on floors/vacuum it out. That was the only disappointing thing I've dealt with. Overall, the experience has been good.
Also, the insurance was supposed to be $10.00. I was charged $45. So that's false advertising!

Cons: I was not informed of all the additional fees until I got there. There were several cars in the same class and they gave me the worst one it seemed they had and asked if it was ok. What could I have said ? No that car is not what I want? I just went on with what they gave me. I was disappointed in the car I had to drive for a week and what I had to pay for it plus the additional fees!

Pros: The service at the rental location was good. And the receptionist was pleasant and professional.
Cons: I booked a full size car. when I went for pick up, only a mid size car was available. Kayak messed this up.

I ended up not picking up the car because of some miscommunication
Cons: Initially, I had booked the car for Lexington, KY. Discovered that the flight was out of Cincinnati, OH. Called in to Hertz to switch. They did, but did not change email. I received an email 2 days before the flight stating that my reservation was for Lexington. I had to call again and they said that they had no vehicles in Cincinnati. I had to book last minute with another agency. When I got in the air to go to Cincinnati, received another email stating that my reservation was for Cincinnati. I had to cancel that one while landing in Cincinnati. I was quite frustrated that they had not sent me a confirmation that I had another reservation created for Cincinnati. Poor communication overall by Hertz.
