Cons: Hertz at the airport said they could not find the reservation, told me to call Hertz and gave me a phone number which did not work on the weekends, so I had to rent with another company. Please refund me my money !

Pros: The only thing I did not like was the hard sell on the insurance, I already am fully covered by my insurance but they just don't let up, then the rep showed me some tiny dots on the windscreen and she said she had noted them, but if I came back with any increase in these tiny dots, I would get charged $20.00 for each dot! Scary!

Car was great. Directions were poor
Pros: Nice car. Clean and well maintained.
Cons: Map for return location was misleading and help phone number was closed. Bill for rental was three times estimate. Had to spend extra time to resolve which forced us to hurry through security.

Cons: I rented a van, when arriving they said there was a "glitch" and they don't have vans, nor could they get one from the Hertz at the airport. Oh, and when I rented the car I wasn't told it was at a location that wasn't at the airport, but an off site location (there is also a Hertz at the airport.)

Will never rent from a Hertz again
Cons: Service was horrible. Asked for a walk through of the car, the associate points through the window and says 'its that car and no its fine'. Asked for a different car and he states no other cars available. Car sounded horrible thought it was going to break down, rented the car with no washer fluid in the middle of winter. Called to try and change drop off to another place a mile away and they guy was rude and stated he would charge me $45. At drop off I asked for a receipt, women states all 3 printers are broke, asked for her to email me receipt which she states she will but I of course never receive.

Cons: no shuttle from the airport which is 1/2 mile. Took 1 hr to receive car that was booked a week prior.

Cons: On vacation and decided to rent a car to get around for a couple days. Booked through kayak and walked over a half an hour to the car rental place. They did not have the inventory for us and told us they have been attempting to let kayak know all day. Very disappointing service on part of kayak.

No Car Available When We Arrived.
Pros: It doesn't seem that the Kayak system communicates or is update often with the rental car companies system. We arrived at the rental car companies office to pick up the car and they said they had no cars and hadn't for 2 days. However, the Kayak system still allowed us to make the reservation.

Rental place closed when I arrived
Cons: Why isn't the opening/closing time of an establishment noted in the rental? I had to rent from another office.
Cons: They delay soooo much, couldn't get the same rate as they had gave me in kayak reservations

Liked some of the car's features
Pros: My plane was delayed and I didn't know the agency closed at 3 pm. Representive was getting ready to leave but still went ahead and rented the car. Great service!

15 Passenger Ford Transit Van
Pros: The Mill St. Enterprise in Reno, NV was awesome. Although off-site from the airport, the Mill St. branch went out of their way to pick me and my family up from the Reno airport. We had six (6) passengers, eleven (11) checked bags and twelve (12) carry-ons. We were headed to Lake Tahoe for a ski vacation and were really pressed for time. We had family photos scheduled and a surprise marriage proposal planned in the early evening. Enterprise understood our need to depart the airport quickly and to get in and out of the rental car office quickly. They picked us up in the van that we had rented and I only needed to sign paperwork at the branch office. With people and luggage already loaded, we were on our way within 15 minutes. Great experience from beginning to end!
Cons: The 15 passenger Ford Transit van had plenty of room for people. However, a 10 or 12 passenger van with fewer seats and more storage space for luggage would have been preferred for our trip from the Reno airport to Lake Tahoe. Luggage had to be move around and over seats in order to get people and luggage to fit. This was a slight inconvenience but given the size of my party and amount of luggage, there wasn't too many other others to consider at the price I was given. A 15 passenger van for less than $490 for the week.
Pros: The only thing that worked for me with this rental was the consideration and service I received from Daniel. Thanks to him I was able to get my reservation but at a considerable higher cost plus the cost of a taxi to and from the Sparks location from the Reno airport.

After reserving the car, Avis/Budget called to say
Cons: I reserved a car in the morning and after 30 minutes Avis/Budget called me to say actually they have no car! Then why was it displayed available? They said the online status is not accurate!

Cons: The car was not available at the appointed time. When we arrived in Reno we called to say we would be late due to a misplaced telephone (this was an offsite location). They said there would be no problem. When we arrived about 1:30 PM we were told there were no cars available and that one could not be secured in another location. We were also told that no car was available earlier that day at our scheduled arrival time of 10:30 AM. We were told that we would be called as soon as one was available, later that day. I said that I might not be able to pick it up before the 5:30 PM closing time and they assured me that a car would be held for us regardless, and that we could pick it up the following morning. The agency called and left a voicemail about 4:30 PM to say they had a car. I was unable to call back until about 5:20 PM but there was no answer at the local agency and I was routed to national reservations. The agent at national reservations was unable to help me. By then it was past 5:30 PM so we were left without a car that day. Based on the local agencey's earlier assurances I called the next morning about 8:00 AM and told them I was ready to pick up the car. They said there was no car available. I asked why, since they called late in the afternoon the day before to say it was there and they earlier assured me that it would be held. They said that they had to send it to another agency. I reminded them that they assured me that it would be held and they said "it just doesn't work that way" and there was nothing they could do. They again said they would call me back as soon as a car was available, which would be that morning. I never heard back from them so I found another rental car.
My wife and I had another rental from Reno to Sacramento with Dollar. The Budget reservation was made for our daughter as she was driving to Lake Tahoe upon arrival. Our plan was to stay in Reno the evening of Sept. 15. When the Budget car was not available we returned to the Reno airport to add her to the Dollar rental agreement at a cost of $48 plus tax so that she could take the car we already had and go on to Tahoe. Our plan was to then pick up the Budget car later that day or the following morning and drive it to Tahoe to meet her on Sept 16. When the Budget car was not available that morning and it became apparent that the agency didn't care to resolve the problem we secured another one way reservation to Tahoe through Enterprise. It was at a substantially higher cost but the lowest cost alternative available to us at that time.
I use KYAK extensively and they do a good job. I have also rented from Budget many times in the past without problem. This rental experience was terrible and I attribute it to a poorly run, off airport location which had no regard for the commitments made or customer service. I think that Budget should reimburse me for the additional charges incurred and I request KYAK's assistance in resolving this issue.
Cons: Cost was more than what you said. Dirty car. Not clean. They tried to give me a car with half gas in tank and then after driving it back less than 10 sec. They exchanged cars.

Pros: Car (Prius) was wonderful.
Cons: Car was dirty - we were sunblinded by the dirty windows!! Had to clean ourselves. The rest of it looked dull and like it wasn't cleaned or it had been sitting for days. When we arrived- NO one was in the office. I kept opening the door to have the buzzer go off - no one came. I finally had to whistle to get someone in the rear yard's attention!!
