The narrow streets and ongoing reconstruction projects on the major routes increase congestion within the city, making it ideal to have a smaller-sized model that you can drive and park with ease, even in compact parking spaces.
This city has a 35mph speed limit through streets outside business districts and about a 25mph limit on all other municipality sections, except through highways, alleys, and state routes outside business districts. The interstate highways have a speed limit of approximately 65mph. However, look out for the undercover police along the highways who monitor and implement speed traps to address the rise in over speeding and accidents.
Toledo includes several parking lots and garages around the city, allowing you to navigate the area with ease. You can use the Amtrak Park and Ride free parking station on Emerald Ave, which you can quickly access via I-75, and go outside the city via the train. Conversely, you can park in the city center at the SeaGate Center Underground Garage on Jefferson Ave that charges around $10 per day, allowing you to enjoy a city walk or ride on the shuttle at Perry Station across the parking garage.

Pros:
Great value for one-way rental. Vehicle was in like-new condition and exceeded my expectations. Drop-off was super easy.Cons:
Toledo branch manager Jon Orr was condescending, arrogant, and power-hungry. He refused to allow me to me take possession of the vehicle because my AAA number had not been attached to the reservation I booked via Hotline 10 days earlier. I called Hertz corporate and they were able to fix the issue easily and directed Mr. Orr to allow me to pick up the vehicle as planned, which he did, with no apologies to me and while announcing that he would report the corporate employee who had helped me for non-compliance. I would expect a more professional attitude from a branch manager.6 locations in Toledo

My budget car was not available. Was told I would have to wait up to three hours for one to be returned. Told I could go to an upgrade for 40 more dollars. Told to return car full but given a car with 3/4 tank. The person at the counter was very rude. Very bad experience!7.6 Good
