The room was comfortable, the staff was attentive, and the hotel was clean. I attended a high school reunion. The food was bad and the drinks were made with cheap liquor. The cost of the hotel was surprisingly high considering the location. A discount would have been nice since we were attending a function at the hotel.
The hotel was nice and clean the room was spacious, the pool area was wonderful. Some of the concierge weren't so welcoming. They definitely need to be more friendly and more helpful
Dirty, falling apart, incompetent staff
Not much - but I did like the soft bed. For one night it was a nice change. Dirty and creepy - unclean and they left parking lot doors open at night that's scary.
it was quiet. dead bugs in the bathroom. the hallways were filthy. it was very hot and the air conditioning did not work. room service was "Too busy" to deliver It appeared to be family run and they were way over their heads. Maybe Clarion should do surprise inspections.
Bed bugs. My daughter had over 40 bites on her arms and legs. We went to front desk, asked to change rooms (did not want to stay but it was 3:00 am and we had no where else to go). They gave us another room - door had to be pushed and slammed to close - was missing the chain lock. Hotel did not compensate us for anything.
There was mold on the ceiling of the shower which was absolutely unacceptable. Who knows how long the mold was there. The room/bathroom was quite dated and appeared dirty.
Needs repair and cleaning, wall paper peeling in the halls, carpet edges exposed. No elevator, microwave, refrigerator. room was not worth the price paid.
Just not clean over all. No refrigerator for my 14 days stay. Later when I asked they said some rooms do have but some don't.
The hotel was very easy to find and within 20 minutes of great restaurants. The bathroom was not cleaned when we arrived. There was hair on the toilet and on the floor. It was obvious the floor had not been cleaned in some time. The toiletries and towels had not been replenished since the previous guests. A major issue we had was that our entry door jamb was bowed. The door would only shut if you slammed it closed. The maid never did this, and left our room open all day long.
Staff was very nice. Wake up call did not work, even though I was told it would. Also the alarm clock in my room was broken also!
amenities, gym and pool room not that clean, bathroom especially floor in rest of hotel dirty
The staff was friendly and helpful. Clean sheets and comfy beds. The bottom strip of lining was peeling off the wall next to my bed. Towels were a little starchy and our room didn't provide soap.
Big indent in the bed. It should be replaced.
Comfortable beds Overall facility could use some deep cleaning.
Nothing The bed sheets were NOT changed from the previous clients. There was dried blood, food, and fluids.
The room was filthy the account and heat did not work and it smelled moldy had to change rooms twice they were disgusting The service was garbage and the hotel lobby was filthy
The lobby looked great and clean. The bar seems to be a great place to hang out if you want to get out your room and socialize with friends. I also liked how quickly the heat was fixed in the room after I called the front desk. The bed was comfortable. I reserved a King room and during check in I was told that I was reserved for two queen beds. But what I didn't like was when the employee at the front desk stated that he "can change it to a King if it's a big deal for me." That caught me off guard. When we got to the room it seemed aged and warned. There was stains all over the carpet, the walls were peeling a bit, apparently a previous guest dismembered the guest book in the room but it wasn't changed before we checked in, the shelf and the hangers in the closet had to be cleaned by myself before using, the toilet was warn out, we found long white hair strands in the shower on the bed and the heater wasn't working but that was quickly fixed.
Charged $75 to check in before 3. Wasn't even told at the time. I would've waited had I known. The guy checking us in May have said two words to us, felt as if I was bothering himLobby is beautiful but false advertising for the rooms and staff. Like having a great basket of bread before your very disappointing meal and service.
Lobby was great.. Plenty of hot water and free wi-fi. Ceiling was peeling, beds lumpy, sheets and comforters yellowed. The tub/shower was clogged, TV didn't work, carpet was stained and rolling up. Hallways and rooms were dirty. Stayed one night, wouldn't go back.
I liked the location The Ramada was not clean. The rugs were dirty and there was an odor in the room. There was a cesspool odor outside of the building.
Staff location convenient restaraunt Expensive restaraunt
Front desk service is a perfect as it can get. Matt is sweet, knowledgeable and curtious. Rooms need some renovation
Rooms were clean and kept well during our stay. The hotel parking lot totally filled late evenings and the entrance could be more neat. There are trash, beer cans etc. visible when entering the hotel lobby.
i like staying at this ramada plaza. very clean rooms and comfortable beds.
They tried to overcharge me 4 times, and I'm still fighting it, even though I showed them the Booking.com receipt, and emailed it to them again yesterday. The maid came at 8:00 Friday morning, and after I asked them to come back later, they didn't. I had to raid the maid carts in the morning for coffee and towels. The bed was more of a lump, not a mattress. The hot tub jets weren't working. The heater was spotty at best...I was cold most of the time. They should return my money, let alone overcharge me.
Everything we expected from a five stars hotel!
my stay at the hilton garden inn was wonderful, the room comfortable with excellent facilities,i especialy loved the provision of a fridge, microwave, iron and ironing board and the spaciousness of the room......the breakfast was second to none, the buffet provided great variety and the excellent waiting service by the staff was fantastic and i felt i was treated with fantastic custumer service skills and all round......definetely a must stay and id recommend it 100% ......
The front desk was very welcoming. We were able to get into our room by 2pm which was nice because we were expected to be at a party by 3pm. The queen beds were very comfortable. The pillows were soft. Everything appeared cleaned. Plenty of towels for two people. The bathroom was cleaned . The hotel was quiet, no wild parties while we were there. When we walked out to the main part of the hotel, a wedding was in the process. Very nice ! We would definitely return again ! The price and accommodations fit our needs ! When we first walked into Rm 403, the room smelled musty. I really think it was the carpet. It looked like it needed a cleaning. Otherwise everything else was clean..
Very convenient to the airport and centra to the area we were visiting The water pressure was very poor. The mattress was dipped in one side as if a large person had slept in it for a long time making it very uncomfortable to sleep in.
Quiet rooms. Front desk clerk was over the top gay. Took me by surprise
Good and comfortable place, with very pleasant and helpful staff
Cooler did not work, no coffee for room coffee pot, table tops very sticky
The rooms are excellent, and food delivery direct to the rooms from some local restaurants is very convenient. I also very much appreciate the fitness room and pool. Excellent place to stay when visiting Brookhaven National Lab! Very good breakfast as well.
Clean, modern look. Plenty of room for a family of 6. Very comfortable stay. Kids enjoyed pool (4' 11" deep end). Good variety for continental breakfast. Two thumbs up! Pool towels seem to be a scarcity. Could always bring bath towels. But it does take away from facility readiness.
We liked the beds not much else We usually stay a lot at holiday inns usually pretty good the fact that there redoing the hotel was a pain we had to park far away with children our room was kinda falling apart just looked old and people were abusing it, pulling in was a problem it was coned off my wife got sick from the breakfast and took the kids while I showered told me don't ever eat it lol the staff weren't that friendly except the night lady with short hair the staff during the day were kinda rude we expected better from holiday inn we've stayed at many around the country our favorite in the one in French quarters of New Orleans but the one on Long Island New York we won't stay at again and we visit every other month I hate writing bad reviews and usually I don't write many reviews but we would have stayed else where if we had known place wasn't that good
It was great The price
Good location, close to Islip airport. Easy to get there. Friendly staff, clean and the beds are very comfortability.
The comfortable beds TV did not show good picture.
We stayed during an unusual quite time for this hotel. The staff was friendly and the rooms were comfortable. The renovation at this property over the past year definitely improves its look and appearance of cleanliness. We do stay here frequently as the price is usually right and the hotel seems well managed. The lobby area is small and can be overrun at times with guests. Demands on the elevators can be annoying, although not an issue the past visit. The setting of the hotel is right off the expressway, which comes with noise and stark views.
the pool, breakfast
Room was really nice, staff very friendly, check in was easy. No hot water in shower , wife said she had warm water. when told front desk at checkout was told that probably too many were trying to take showers at same time, I'm in the heating industry, a place that size does not run out of hot water, front desk did not seem to conserned.since I was checking out.
The stay was overall excellent. The location was perfect right on the expressway and a very short walking distance to the restaurants and multiplex movie theater. The room was clean and the staff was nice. I enjoyed the breakfast. It was a good experience.
They changed the rate on us last minute and despite the fact the I had called ahead to ask they never told us about the pet fee before hand, which was $100 for 2 nights.
The beds are comfortable, there's a hot breakfast in the morning- it was everything I needed. Nothing
The bathtub was not big enough.
Ease of checkin Ac unit was not cooperative. Too cold no matter what temp was chosen. Rugs were not clean.
Friendly and helpful staff
Great Staff, Nice Rooms, close to airport
Close to everything, freeway, grocery stores, chain restaurants around, wish more local food but that's ok! Great location if you plan to do things around the area. We will stay again! N/a
Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Bathroom fan didn't work. Bed was too hard
I booked this hotel to spend the long weekend with my family, I had a very good experience years ago in another Hampton in Staten Island, that's why I decided to book an Hampton hotel again, but this time was a really unfortunate experience. First I choose this hotel because it has a pool, so my kids might have fun when I was working in Long Island. The heated system in the pool was broken so the water was freezing cold. I brought this concern to the manager, he apologized saying that the heat has been broken for a while and he gave me one of the three nights for free, I didn't think this was the right way to fix this, because my kids wanted to have fun, they don't care about having a night for free. Then the housekeeping is not the perfect one in this hotel, they did it around 7 pm, and we had to stay out of the room with the kids waiting for a rude housekeeper to finish the cleaning of the room, and of course the cleaning was in rush and the room was not cleaned to the standards than a hotel like Hampton Inn should be. Another thing was that the odor vent in the bathroom was broken as well. So to end this nightmare, on Monday when we were supposed to check out, I went to work and I called the hotel around 10 am asking if they would be able to let my family check out late, because I was not able to get them on time, the desk agent, her name was Janet was very rude on the phone with me and she said that she couldn't let me do that, because they needed to have the room ready early, I remembered her that the housekeeping was done by 7 pm everyday during my stay and I was asking just to 3 pm, I was begging her on the phone, she started becoming angry and she said to me "so you want me to lose my job just because you want to stay until 3 pm? you got it" and then she hanged up on me. I called right back and nobody answered the phone for 10 minutes. Finally this girl Janet answered the phone, I asked her to transfer me to her manager, she said that it was not manager on duty, I asked for 1-800 number to start a complain and she put me in hold and then she transferred me with another lady who let me did the check out by 3 pm and apologized, but she said to me that she doesn't believe that Janet was rude with me or hanged up the phone on me, this made me more upset because this person was calling me a liar, finally I went and picked up my family by 12:00 pm after all this frustration. This is the worst experience in hotels for me and my family.
Thedithl.firstname.lastname@example.org place is at an OK location There wasnt hot water to shower so I had to take a cold shower.
Conveniently located right off the LI Expressway. Right next to Red Lobster and Smokey Bones restaurants. There is a pool but other than that there is really nothing for kids to do at this hotel.
Always nice and clean. Very comfortable, kind bar staff, will go out of the way for guests. Stay here often for special occasions!
Hotel was nice and updated, some areas not very clean though. Breakfast was very good and staff serving were polite and extremely helpful. Breakfast area was exceptionally clean and well organized. Slept on dirty pillow, dusty room, bad ventilation with stoves (neighbors were cooking and were gagging), pool area not maintained. Had to ask several times for towels.
Front desk staff was very helpful. Stayed with a 10 month old and a 2 year old, and the outdoor playground was a nice distraction. Wish we'd had time to use the pool too. We were on a floor with a women's college sports team (I assume - I could be guessing wrong) and even though they were in and out of each other's rooms socializing, we only heard the faintest bits of noise. Either they were just excessively well-mannered, or the rooms were soundproofed enough (or we were that exhausted, plus we had the fan running all night) that we didn't hear much of anything. There was one spot in the bathroom that I wish had been cleaned better. I tried to point it out to the housekeeping staff, but there was a language barrier, and I didn't pursue it with the front desk. (You know what I'd love to see? A checklist of "this is all I need done in my room today" - the all or nothingness of housekeeping in a hotel seems out-dated. Somedays all you need is a couple towels and the trash emptied, and other days, sure you need the whole shebang. It would be nice if you could just indicate that on a card that housekeeping could use.)
Get better toilet paper. My only two complaints are better toilet paper and less fluffy pillows. Or at least, options; since there's 4 pillows, have 2 fluffy and 2 not-so-fluffy.
There was nothing I didn,t like about The Fairfield Inn by MMLI. Of course cleanliness is at the top of my needs and that it was.We would certainly stay again and also send anyone there. Good Job!!!!
Clean hotel, good value, nice breakfast, good wait staff, indoor pool was a plus also exercise room access to road outside hotel
Staff very attentive, accommodating and always ready help. Clean and quiet place where to sleep and do light work.
The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable; I particularly like the total non-smoking policy.
Clean rooms Nothing
room to small, bathroom to small. breakfast was a joke. overpriced
Rooms could use an updating
Easy access to the airport. It had the best value of the loccal hotels that I checked.
I was in town for a family party. The location and price of this hotel were great Had to leave my building to get breakfast and coffee
It was a nice and quiet atmosphere No shuttle to the airport!
i was driving from New York and i drove early to my hotel since iw as excited. i arrived at the hotel a bit early and my check in is not until 2pm. receptionist was a guy and i forgot his name. he worked on June 19, 2015 and he was there around noon. who ever it is, im really glad it was him who was taking care of me. the check in was really smooth and i couldnt be more happier. i had a bit of a problem about the Wi-Fi and i asked, he was very helpful and informative. then i stayed a few minutes in the lobby to use the Wi-Fi. then back to my room again. its just smooth sailing. anyone who is thinking of a hotel near an airport or if you plan on visting the hamptons. this is a great hotel to check in to. 10 out of 10. seriuosly like get your behind and check in on this hotel. thanks Rodeway Inn!
The location - close to the funeral home. The staff was friendly. Even though it was non-smoking there was a cigarette smell.
very nice upgrade of facility since last time.liked the breakfast in the a.m.
We were both very comfortable. Just the phone problem which occured on Wednesday and was not fixed as of Friday morning when we left for the airport.
everything was easy from checking in to checking out; the room was big and tidy, the personal was friendly and helpful it is very difficult and loud (fan!) to control the temperature in the room
The Motel room was clean, quiet, very big, there could have easily slept 4 people there. Enough parking space, staff nice and helpful.
friendly desk clerk, nice breakfast bar.
It gave us a roof over our heads, a bed to lay in at night, and a place to shower in the morning. Doesn't have much more to offer then bare essentials. I didn't like that they didn't have a public restroom in the lobby where you check in/out.
The people at the front desk were incompetent and rude
