Every person that I encountered was incredibly polite, efficient and competent . My flight arrived one hour before the Alamo/Enterprise desk opened. I would have loved the ability to pick up my car through a kiosk or something else to avoid a one hour wait for the desk to open.

Upon getting vehicle. Upon starting vehicle, it flashed a message that back tire treading low, needs Maintenace or checked. I asked the gentleman working about it at the exit. He said don't worry about it. 'You should be OK' didn't sound promising. So, I asked the supervisor on duty, he said let's switch your vehicle out. Then, upon turning in the vehicle, the scan person was out to lunch, although 3 able bodies sitting and or standing there said just leave the key in the car and when she gets back from lunch, we will make sure to let her know to scan your vehicle back and email you a receipt. Been over 14 hours since that occurred still no receipt. Concerning that 3 employees can sit and aren't crossed train to scan a vehicle in. Doesn't make sense to me. This is a very sad situation at CVG airport.

Cons:

Cruise control on the 2019 Versa that I rented did not work. The cruise on/off button on the steering wheel was faulty. I rely on cruise control to keep me from speeding when I drive on the interstate freeway. Not having cruise control was a major inconvenience. Agent at counter was not clear as to what I was paying for, vis-a-vis how much gas I needed to put in the tank, before returning the car. If is unlikely I will rent from HERTZ in the future.

Compact

First of all my rental was not ready until the next day. Second I was given a dirty car. Second now I'm getting charged. Worst experience with Budget!

Supplier choice

I was told the only car available was a Tesla, which was fine, but there was absolutely no information/staff available to answer basic questions. (How to start the vehicle, how to detach the charging adaptor.) I asked a Budget staff member in the garage to help, but he was busy with other customers and his coworker was apparently not answering his phone to come help. The worst part was that it was only charged to 50%, and I had a 90 mile trip ahead of me at 1am through a very rural area. I got to my destination with 15% left, but it was somewhat nervewracking. I didn’t realize that it was only charged to 50% because I am new to Teslas and was looking for an approximate range (ie 200 miles) as is common with other EVs I have driven. The car also came with 2 identical charging adapters, ostensibly to help the Tesla connect to non-Tesla EV chargers. But this adapter did not fit the advanced charging station at my hotel, and I question why it came with 2 identical adapters, not 2 different ones. My only option was to go to a Tesla supercharger, which was only 12 miles away, but it was still quite a hassle.
