It was a very easy experience obtaining the car and the drop off. The only negative was that there was some small bits of trash in the cup holder and side pocket, so obviously it wasn't cleaned between users but overall it was a good experienceReviewed Oct 5 2026

Budget at CVG airport run out of stock and had no cars to honor my reservation. Giving the need for my family and the time of the day, I decided to accept a Tesla Y. I assumed the car came with an EV charger cable that could be used at home (I was staying at my In-laws). Next day, I checked and the car did not have any charging cable. I had to run to Tesla charging stations often because the car’s battery lost charge quickly and also took a lot of time charging. When I called customer service, the person indicated I had to go to the location I picked the car to get the charging cable. I was working remotely so my wife drove the car she borrowed from her parents all the way to the airport only to learn that Budget does not include the charging cables. She was told that a discount of two or three days could be coordinated with the manager upon return. The manager only provided a meaningless discount. In addition, the car had a problem with the trunk, which did not close automatically. The car was also dirty when I picked it up from the CVG airport. Our experience with Budget was terrible.Reviewed Jan 4 2026

Awful. Had a reservation for a rental and when I arrived on time to pick up the rental they were “sold out” and had no cars available at all and offered zero assistance to help me get to my destination 75 miles away. Terrible experienceReviewed Jun 30 2025

I was told the only car available was a Tesla, which was fine, but there was absolutely no information/staff available to answer basic questions. (How to start the vehicle, how to detach the charging adaptor.) I asked a Budget staff member in the garage to help, but he was busy with other customers and his coworker was apparently not answering his phone to come help. The worst part was that it was only charged to 50%, and I had a 90 mile trip ahead of me at 1am through a very rural area. I got to my destination with 15% left, but it was somewhat nervewracking. I didn’t realize that it was only charged to 50% because I am new to Teslas and was looking for an approximate range (ie 200 miles) as is common with other EVs I have driven. The car also came with 2 identical charging adapters, ostensibly to help the Tesla connect to non-Tesla EV chargers. But this adapter did not fit the advanced charging station at my hotel, and I question why it came with 2 identical adapters, not 2 different ones. My only option was to go to a Tesla supercharger, which was only 12 miles away, but it was still quite a hassle.Reviewed Dec 16 2024
