Location. The executive tower is nicer than the basic rooms
The hotel is beautiful, the indoor/outdoor pool is heated and you swim under the wall to go inside and out. There is a game room next to the pool that has arcade games which are free to play even though there are coin slots. The complimentary breakfast was great and included made to order waffles and omelette's. This is the only hotel I have stayed at where the OWNER walked around and said hi to everyone and also left his card which included his direct phone number. There is a pub 1 block away that looked very nice (lamborghini's, BMW's, and Mercedes' parked outside lead me to believe it's a high class place) there is also a police station across the street so I could consider it pretty safe. The only thing I did not like about this place was my room smelled bad, like body odor. I bought some Febreeze but it didn't help for long.
The staff here are very nice and work hard to accommodate guests. And the wifi is free, which in this day and age should always be the case. Breakfast was OK. For less cost, I could have gotten a more respectable experience at a Holiday Inn. My first room was so dismal (drawer fronts falling off, sink in the main room, so far from the lobby on the first floor that it felt like a basement) that I asked to be moved. The second room was an improvement, but the bathroom sink didn't drain (annoying when brushing teeth) and in general both rooms were outdated and worn. The bathrooms badly need updating. There was little to delight this hotel guest.
Helpful, friendly, caring and efficient!
Crowne Plaza has all the amenities and fine details of a luxury hotel at a competitive price. Full-service breakfast buffet far exceeded the standard "continental breakfast," employees friendly and helpful. Great location near WashU. Standard room perfect for my needs. Everything was great with my stay.
My kids had a lot of fun at the indoor/outdoor pool and free arcade. The breakfast buffet was excellent; the made-to-order omelets and waffles were delicious.
No carpeting in rooms. I hate carpeting! Free airport shuttle! Looks like they "might" be remodeling? Saw construction workers, but only in one room. Pergo flooring versus hardwood. Dirty hallways, multiple items scratched, dinged or falling apart. Mishmash of styles: trying to be a nice hotel and failing miserably! Dirty!
We all were extremely impressed with the level of luxury for the cost of the stay. The pools were clean, warm, and beautiful. Wood floors, pillowtop mattresses, and ceiling fans brought all the comforts of home together in the room itself. Breakfast was filling and delicious although I would have preferred a tidier eating environment. The floors in restaurant were dirty and the wait staff was inattentive. Having said that, the stay overall was more than satisfactory and Clayton Plaza will be where we'll stay when we visit STL in the future.
The staff was terrible and I was charged three times for a room I did not receive. They gave my room to someone else.
Free wifi included. Beds are really comfortable. Dual sinks. Good water pressure. Close to everything we needed. Nice interior Elevators are confusing. Street noise is loud and comes through even on 4th floor.
The breakfast omelet was made to your liking right in front of you and buffet was real food and the indoor/outdoor pool was nice and warm while steam came off my head outdoor on a morning swim we will be back
Great location, nice staff Terrible facility. Old, dirty, run-down rooms and lobby. Filthy carpet, bathroom; windows. Old everything that hasn't been renovated/upgraded in decades. What a shame as it's a great old building in a great location and could be a real winner. Needs a full makeover and owner that cares!
Clean, staff were friendly and helpful, coffee always available in lobby, nice daily breakfast buffet which is included in price Pool was small (we have 2 younger kids), parking is $19 day
Rooms were very nice. Staff was extremely helpful. Complimentary hot breakfast was good and a good start to the day.
Service was impeccable. Room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Pool and gym were great! Breakfasts were consistently varied, accommodating, and delicious. We did not dislike anything!
Loved everything about the Hyatt we didn't have to leave the hotel if we didn't want to everything was already there St. Louis the city as a whole was a disappointment everything was under construction and closed
I liked that they had convierge and bellman to help you to your room with your luggage Nothing..i loved everything!!!
Double beds in hotel rooms is an outdated approach imo. Might as well have 2 queens.
Great location Expensive food.
When I pay as much for a hotel room as I did at this place, I expect parking to be included, or at the very least for it to be reasonably priced. Instead, this hotel expects you to pay $26 a night for parking!! That is a rip off for a midsized Midwestern city. We ended up parking a block away in public parking and walking back to the hotel. The fact that they charge $26 a night for parking!!!!!
The original room we booked was not available, but they were able to move us to a different one.
Staff was really good. Lot of construction around.
Bed was very comfortable. Location convenient to Arch and ball park. Water was scalding in sink and shower. Sink had two choices, scalding hot or cold and there was no pressure. Shower was adequate but not great. Only needed tv for 5-10 minutes for news update and sport highlights. Remote did not work well. Very frustrating for what should have been a simple task. Have stayed in better rooms for half the price but not downtown in a large city therefore, the price is strictly for the location and the brand.
Very clean, nice room, nice views They failed to mention anything about breakfast at check-in and when I inquired they said I didn't add it on. In the morning we got an early wake up call we didn't ask for and never got back to sleep because the hallways were so loud. It seems the doors there automatically slam every time someone leaves and people talking in the halls can be heard perfectly. Nothing was done to try to resolve these issues when I brought them up.
Parking garage was a bit of a pain. Everything else was great.
-Friendly/helpful staff -Proximity to ballpark -Clean/comfortable room Parking situation was not ideal, not enough parking to accomodate guests. If it is a game day count on hunting for parking.
My favorite part about the trip was that it was a very nice hotel that was close to the things that I wanted to enjoy. When I arrived on the 4th, I casually walked over to the Gateway Arch for a beautiful view of the city. The next morning I went to 8th and Pine (which was only four blocks away) to ride the MetroLink to the beautiful zoo. After a quick change at the Forest Park stop, I rode the bus a few minutes to the zoo. BTW the zoo is free but I recommend the Adventure Pass so that you can see and do all the extras at the zoo. Next, I got lost. Not St. Louis's or the hotel's fault, but I thought I would mention that you do not get on the bus back to Forest Park terminal at the same place as you were let off. Go across the road, and it will save you an hour tour of the neighborhoods of St. Louis. That night I walked 7 blocks to Busch Stadium to watch a Cardinals game. As you can see I was able to walk to several highlights of St. Louis. The next morning after I checked out, I took a short drive to Anheuser-Busch for the Budweiser tour. I took the Day tour for $10 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location of the Hyatt Regency made all of this possible. The room overlooked the Arch and the bed was yummy. The only thing that I can think of that I didn't much care for is that most of the stuff in the store wasn't marked, so since my normally $1.49 cheese crackers, cost over $5 I didn't know that until I got to the checkout. I felt bad for the guy who had three cokes and two bags of chips that costs well over $20.
Staff was outstanding not having enough money to stay longer
Large room for the price Hard to find your way around. Staff was less than helpful.
The decor and continued renovation to the old station is good. Awesome lobby, rooms clean, plenty to do around the complex. One night wasn't enough. As recommended, use valet parking for both security and convenience. Lobby staff are a bit robotic. Could use some sprucing up in the way of personality and interpersonal skills.
It was being rehabbed a bit so it wasn't in its full glory
It was a beautiful building with nice amenities. They had a special event which kept the remaining guests from the main foyer, bar and Starbucks. It was disappointing to miss those in the evening.
Absolutely fantastic experience! The historic building of the hotel was wonderful. Service superb and friendly. They were great at accommodating out big dog and we loved the pet playground, only wish it had been fences on the open side. We will definitely stay here again when in St. Louis!
-very helpful staff -updated, spacious rooms -AWESOME light show -nice bar in the lobby -beautiful architecture Parking is $25 for self park and $35 for valet... I highly recommend the valet! It's definitely worth the extra money. (It seems expensive, but a lot of hotels in downtown areas charge money for parking....)
The historical structure, staff, greeting and planetarium style show on the historic roof of the train station made the stay unique in every way. The property is undergoing construction, which meant some walking to get to the room with our luggage but it was worth it to walk in and around the old train yard and see one of the countries most amazing stations!
The staff were very friendly and the facility was beautiful. I recommend spending some time in the great hall area to take in the beautiful space.
Employees was amazing and so was the room. Parking should've been free and guest needs a map of the hotel
Clean, well-kept Fairly good customer service Large room Seasonal pool Non-hotel customer traffic Long wait for valet (understaffed)
The proximity to the Arch & Ballpark was great as well as the other downtown spots. Never really felt like we needed a taxi except when we went to the Budweiser Brewery. The welcome desk & concierge staff were very friendly & informative. The only cons I have about this hotels is the elevator w/ the keypads were always backed up, there is no free wi-fi, & the rooms didn't have a fridge. Other than that the hotel was nice.
Location was great The water pressure was horrible in the shower, and our bed was not comfortable at all
Elevators are horrible in the east tower 1 is only used for the bar on the roof..it took us 20 minutes to get an elevator from our room on the 9th floor to the lobby because the elevators available to guests staying at the hotelweree full everytime
Location only good thing Parking not included and rooms smelled weird and some of staff were very rude! Not worth the price we paid!
The rooftop bar was amazing! Everything was great!
So close to everything downtown, but the hotel is also very nice--they are not trading a nice place to stay for just the location. And the place was very popular, people enjoying the lobby and going up to rooftop bar, even though the Cardinals were out of town.
Very friendly staff
Our room was small but comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The view was great--we overlooked Busch Stadium. The location was also perfect for walking around downtown St. Louis. For a really spectacular view, head to 360, but be forewarned, you can't get there without the assistance of staff. We tried and wandered aimlessly. We did not utilize the gym or pool, but they looked nice. The shower was awful. When going away for whatever reason or for however long, it is imperative to have a decent shower. Our hotel shower had low pressure, a weak stream, and we didn't feel clean afterwards. When we got home, the first thing we did was take a nice hot shower. r The hotel seems to have updated everything but the rooms. The Market Bistro was very pleasant; all staff was more than friendly and accommodating. There wasn't a bartender behind the lobby bar, so we couldn't just grab a quick drink there; we'd have to go into the Market Bistro. Also, if you need anything such as deodorant, a toothbrush, or a nail clipper, you won't be able to get these in the gift shop. Slim pickings down there. We left for all of our meals, cocktails, and any forgotten items.
Great view of the stadium! Breakfast buffet was delicious! East tower elevators had long wait time.
Convenient, nice parking arrangement (not too pricey for the city), restaurant/bar at the top of the hotel was very good! The elevators, though usually efficient, were occasionally slow. It was also a bit difficult to regulate the temperature of the room.
Room 1230 has a wonderful view of Busch stadium. Terrible pillows. The staff had issues with our reservation. They had a notation in computer to charge the room to an AmEX. We don't have an AmEX. The room was overpriced.
Location and roof top bar. Didnt have hot tub working at pool. Pricry.
The price was ok and the stay was peaceful once we got to our room. This hotel should have been called a Motel. Entirely too much going on in this hotel. Overall the hotel seemed to be dated... Old looking carpet throughout and furniture made this place look equvilant to motel 6. The only way i'd come back is if i would cheat on my wife. Being that it will never happen means this was my first and last time.
There was definitely some false advertising on the side of the Expedia. The room and bathroom were nothing like what was pictured on the web site. The pool area was also closed and the hotel proceeded to charge us for the resort fees. Why would we be charged the full price for the resort fee when we can't use the full amenities? That doesn't make sense. When we went to discuss this with the manager of the hotel, about the resort fees and the room not looking like the pictures we saw, all he could say was that it wasn't his fault and that there was nothing he could do for us. He was incredibly rude, not willing to be understanding at all. I found this to be incredibly appalling, considering he is in a managerial position of a hotel, he seemed to be lacking training in customer service. With that being said, we will not be staying at this hotel ever again. The bathroom was incredibly small and disgusting. There was hair all over the tub and the were brown spots all over the shower wall and the shower curtain had yellow stains all in it. It was hard to believe that this place was just recently renovated. Considering the fridge in the room was actually really old and we were told that it wouldn't keep our stuff real cold but cold enough.
Will be nice when remodeled. They had a hidden $10 fee. I could have stayed in the middle of downtown for same price at a very least the same quality room, but from what I found out, nicer.
The best part of this stay was after we checked out and left the parking lot. Most everything. Pool area and Sauna was filthy. Sauna did not work and temp did not get above 100 degrees. Service person at pool was rude. Bathroom had dirt and mold built up in the corners. Must moldy odor in room. This place definitely did not live up to the advertising and hype. Was a place for gamblers to lay their heads for a few hours before going back to the tables and games. Not much more than this.
The location was convenient for local attractions. The room we stayed in was newly renovated and very clean. It would've been nice to be able to go to the lobby of the hotel and get breakfast and a good cup of coffee without having to go to over to the casino.
The staff were concerned and helpful.
Nothing There is absolutely nothing to like about this place they screwed up my reservation, I had to sleep on the floor, the room was not clean, the staff was rude. Parking was terrible and confusing. I regret staying there!
easy access to casino. The room furniture looked like it was from the 1990's when the hotel was Embassy suites. The water pipes rattled loudly in the room especially in the morns with people bathing in other rooms. The desk/dresser combo was way too high for the non rolling chair they had for it. It put my laptop almost to shoulder level. The lighting in the bathroom was practically non-existent. I think it consisted of 2 20 watt bulbs. Absolutely no light in shower. The ground floor to roof open atrium looks beautiful but makes a natural echo amplifier chamber which even closing all doors in room didn't help lower the noise when they had an event especially with a live band.
The room was nice and had plenty of space Had no Wifi access and tried calling the front desk and could not get anyone to answer phone. Was thinking of ordering room service but had no menu and again could not get an answer from front desk.
Close to baseball field You have no control over the room temperature (our room was 75 and muggy the entire time and it was 100 outside). The bathroom was so terribly lit that it was hard to see in the shower and also the shower head was incredibly small. There were numerous stains on the floor in the room and the hallway.
Located near good restaurants Poor customer service No valet Have to pay for parking Smelly rooms
The location was good. I was able to hop right on the metrolink and 3 stops later I was at the stadium. There are only 4 bars left on the landing so it's not what it used to be. The staff was particularly rude during check in. if you need extra bedding or towels you have to go to the front desk to get it. They now charge a $10 resort fee which is ridiculous because that hotel is far from any kind of resort. 20 minute wait for the elevator. There are only two outlets in the bedroom you can use. One outlet by the bed. You have to unplug the lamp if more than one person wants to charge their phone at night. Which makes it a little dangerous to walk because the fattest light is across the room. Non-smoking rooms/floors completely smell like smoke. I wish I would've stayed somewhere else,
Rooms were nice None of the restaurants were serving good during a storm. They wouldn't provide food to me but took care of their other guests that were staying in a business conference group.
The only problem I had was that they didn't have any cleanser bottles in the gym facility. So I was unable to sanitize equipment before and after use. I asked the girl at the spa desk and she said they clean everything at the end of the day, and was surprised that I was asking for cleanser. EVERY gym I'm ever been to has cleanser so I found this to be very odd at such a nice place.
The location was very near the hospital. I had one of the newly renovated/decorated rooms. The poolside restaurant was very nice in the evenings. I will stay here again during my next visit.
Location, facilities and architecture were excellent. Room was a bit dated.
The staff were able to accommodate every request. Our club level suite was well-appointed and comfortable. The club lounge concierges were all very attentive and courteous. Front desk staff was the same. The fitness center, Sante, is an actual fitness club to which hotel guests have access. This club had top-notch equipment and facilities, making this the best hotel gym I've ever experienced. I will stay here again for the gym alone. An excellent experience overall, and we are looking forward to our next visit. Like a lot of hotels, the sink and bathtub drained very slowly.
Everything. Very nice place to stay. Parking garage technology malfunction detained us and a couple other guests for about 1/2 hour.
Has a cinema inside, nice pool, and good location if you want to have some nice bars and restaurants to go to Beds are extremely uncomfortable. Room was given to us with a king when a queen was requested Room keys rarely work after the first time especially in the self park garage Rooms are in general pretty old and outdated, hence the uncomfortable beds
Location, decor, facilities. The outdoor pool is great. One of St. Louis's classic hotels that has more than maintained its beauty and panache.
The hotel is beautiful, with a real air of luxury. At a very affordable price too. However I ate here and will not be repeating the experience. The food was so bland it was like eating cardboard. My guest had a different dish and had the same opinion. It was the most bizarre dining experience I have ever had. It looked appetizing but tasted of nothing. I would also like to comment that although luxurious the hotel is rather stingy, you have to pay for wifi and the business centre. The 20% room service charge was excessive. Poor tv channels too. I'd still come back though as such a gorgeous place in a fabulous location.
I love the Art Deco building. The rooms are comfortable. It's location near restaurants, bars and the park is terrific. Our room was quiet dispite the the festivities going on in the hotel.
friendly staff, convenient services.
The actual hotel room is great! The staff did a poor job of providing customer service. The room card didn't work no one explained that you had to go to the 8th floor then get off and find another set of elevators to get to your room. It was loud The casino makes everything smell like smoke and whatever they use to try and mask the smoke.
Hotel looks like it was placed in the middle of a 3rd world country. The hotel was beautiful, and staff were excellent. The restaurant serves one of the best breakfasts. Terrible mouse in the room the entire time. The soundproofing from the outside is non-existing. Heard the wind howling and the traffic 24rs. a day.
Best bed/comforter I've ever had at a hotel, shower was luxurious, nice bathrobe, staff was very friendly, parking attendant was very friendly. Nothing extra was included, no free breakfast, not even a free bottle of water even though it's sitting on your dresser when you get there (has a tag for $3). Minibar, like any hotel, was way overpriced.
Location to downtown sites. Spacious room - very clean. COOL FEATURE - for $5 Westin will supply you with workout shirt, shorts, shoes (if you forgot them or just don't want some stinkiness in your bag for the trip home). Restaurant staff was very friendly and had. O problem getting hot water for me for the provided in-room tea bags. Food options were pricey - especially in-room. No hot tub (was really hoping for this esp after long days during biz trip and when cold out). Fitness Center has nice footprint and facilities but could be better equipped (more weight options - less cardio machines). They tried charging me for parking ($20) even though I arrived via Uber & told them I had no need for their parking services when I checked in the night before.
We stay at this hotel a few times a year. It's clean. The rooms are huge. And the beds are comfortable. We will almost certainly stay here again. The cleaning staff was very aggressive in there multiple attempts to enter the room while we slept in till about 10. And then while we were showing and getting ready to leave. Needless to say it was uncomfortable and frustrating. There was also construction at the entrance of the hotel this time during our stay. The room was loud. And the street and sidewalks were a mess.
old average accomadation difficult communication a change of date I actually paid twice for a room!! Oh well!
We loved thw beds! We just wanted to slunber. Loved the spa bathroom. LIked having a robe. Good food. Nice tv. Spacious room! We felt special. This was a staycation for me and my senior mom. She enjoyed herself immensely. There was a high pitched humming noise, like from something mechanical, coming from outside the room. It wasn't too loud, but you could hear it. I don't know if it was the hotel itself, or noise from the street. We were on a higher floor as well.
The Valet Staff was amazing. Polite, friendly and welcoming. Excellent first and last impression. Very Clean hotel The location of this property is ideal. We could walk to everything except the zoo and the brewery. Laclede's Landing was less than a 20 minutes walk. We went for a run in the city one morning that was gorgeous with the arch and sunrise as a backdrop and through some smaller parks on market street. We drove down from Indiana. It was a 5 + hour drive. Not horrible but long enough. When we got there we had to wait 30 minutes for our room to be ready. It was 5 pm. WELL after the check in time. That was aggravating. We were supposed to have a tub in our room and we ended up in the handicap room, so not tub and the shower was set up for movement challenged individuals. Great that they are accessible for people that need it but we would have preferred the room we booked. The sink in the bathroom leaked and the soap shelf in the shower was pulling away from the wall.
They gave us a very nice clean room on the top floor overlooking the stadium and arch. Bathroom had a decent sized bathtub! Downtown location means that you will pay at least $20 per night for parking! Hallway noise seemed to come in a bit louder than in other places I've stayed.
The room was very nice and the bathroom was amazing. Nothing
Nicely appointed rooms and great location to Busch Stadium. There are too many extras that the customer has to pay for. The Internet was $12.00 per day and the cost for drinks and food in the hotels restaurant were not a good value at all. We found ourselves going to the Hilton, just a block away, for these amenities.
Was suppose to check in after 3 didn't get 1 room till 5:30 and didn't get the other 2 rooms until 8:30 at night. Some of our group had to change clothes in the hotels public restroom. Front desk staff was not very helpful probably will not stay there again.
there was a lot of hidden taxes and parking is $20 a night. Also you have to pay $13 a day for wifi. I would expect these fees to be included in the price, kind of disappointed but not a big deal. Just kind of annoying
Bed was comfortable. Big rooms and nice rain shower. Nearby bridge construction makes it difficult to access. Said bar was closed when there were still people in it. Took forever to check out - one agent to handle phones and checkout. Then I needed change for a valet tip so skipped the front desk and asked the restaurant - took over 5 minutes to finally get my change. Staff all friendly and tried to be helpful but the actual result was frustrating.
Hotel has been renovated within the past year or so. I had a Junior suite which was very nice. The staff for breakfast In the concierge lounge were very attentive and very nice (Pam and Ruth). Cher was very helpful at the front desk.
Big room and bathroom
Beds were comfortable. Convienent. Our room had a very poor layout. Antiquated TV that was 20 ft from the bed. Bathroom set up is very poor. The bathroom was huge but just wasted space. A pedestal sink with a narrow glass shelf above, left very little room for your toiletries. My tioletry bag wouldn't even sit on it. Service in the bar was also very poor, especially for the price of a cocktail.
Fast check in, nice clean room, great view, Starbucks, close to lots of restaurants All the Cubs fans staying for the weekend. Go cards!!!
Rooms are very nice. Beds are great !!! Slept like a baby. Parking, not great
This is a great hotel and the staff was wonderful. We loved the rooftop deck. The hotel room was very nice - modern, chic and spacious! The bed was so comfortable! The hotel is situated in an eclectic area of St. Louis. Walking distance to various bars and unique restaurants.
Friendly staff. Clean nicely furnished room. Very comfortable bed. A larger TV.
Vibe No pool or shuttle
The waterfall shower was very nice The pillows aren't comfortable
We loved the atmosphere, look, and quality of the hotel. The rooftop bar is so cool and relaxing. The only thing we didn't like was the tv, it would cut out and was small. Minor duty though!
Vibe and people
Walking distance to Wash Univ Nothing
Very friendly staff. The welcome cocktail was a fun and WELCOME touch! Very nice rooms with comfy beds. Love the rooftop bar as well. Great stay!
Friendly staff, great service, up and coming area, close to downtown Not much - just that we had to leave
Loved the location, and the bars in the buildings. Staff was nice. Room was clean. No problem getting a late check out. Asked for a king bed, got two fulls. No bathtub which was highly disappointing, I love long baths when I'm away since it's not something I get at home. Security was quite brash. It was a weekend night, but come on. They were being louder then the kids they were looking for. Smoking area could be much better! And for the price, breakfast was not included and a salmon bagel at the Eclipse was 16 dollars. Only will go back for its convince to the Pageant.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The decor was amazing and we loved the room we stayed in.
The Cheshire is a quirky British castle and authors based 'Lodge". Each room is named for an author and has a copy of one of the writer's works with a bio bookmark for each guest. (I have, over the years, enjoyed Auden & Isherwood, and now Laurence Sterne.) The windows on each floor and in each room are leaded pale colored diamonds. The reception area boasts heavy wooden furniture, a bear, and "Oriental" rugs over tile. The front desk and bar staff are superb! Nice pleasant people. The pool area is inviting even in non-swim weather, with standing heaters and a firepit. Too much fun, and reasonably quiet for a full hotel. Guest with relatives in lounge area espousing ethnic and religious prejudices (?!) loud enough for others, including me, at separate tables to show surprise. Not a common experience at The Lodge!
Noisy AC which had to be reset to work dirty shower walls, musty smell. Modest breakfast, but fresh and delicious. Accommodating staff and unparalleled decor. Overall, too expensive.
Fun and charming theme, great location, and excellent staff!
We loved getting to stay somewhere that was pretty much rich in the middle of everywhere we wanted to go and see, but avoid the mass traffic of the city. This was our second time to St. Louis together and we definitely can't wait to make it back out to The Cheshire. It was everything we were looking for in a hotel. Plus the continental breakfast may have been small, but the quality made up for the quantity by far.
530 kickback. Nothing.
The happy hour with drinks and snacks was fabulous and helped to ease the expenditure for food! Pool was less than inviting.
The staff was very friendly and efficient, delicious breakfast, beautiful hotel!
Comfortable, quiet, and great location with a generous breakfast, evening 'recepti
They were very pet friendly. I had my dog with and had no issues. Flat rate 15$ a day. Beds were hard
Complimentary breakfast and evening happy hour. Strong chlorine odor around the pool.
Provided breakfast and dinner with happy hour
We loved the happy hour with free drinks and snacks. The hotel and rooms were extremely clean and beautiful. This is a great location for tourists because it's literally right next to the arch, and a very short walk to anything else in the city.
Location, comfort, amenities, friendly staff Nothing
within walking distance to numerous tourist spots downtown fairly decent free breakfast "river scene" with statues on the lobby . . gave the whole lobby the smell of chlorine; ridiculous check-in situation: VERY limited parking in front of the hotel, so you have to wait for someone to pull out before you can pull in, then go check in and THEN they give you a voucher for the parking garage that is across the street; there are 4 elevators in this hotel; but our room was only accessed by one elevator . . . with no option of taking the stairs instead.
I love this place. I stay here whenever visiting St Louis. Close proximity to several points of interest. Excellent breakfast and kickback.
Stayed in 'luxury' category room. Very nice. Good vibe. Staff seems proud of the operation. Very friendly, very attentive. Would stay here again when we're in the St. Louis area. Free (all be it slower) Wi-Fi in all rooms. Good enough to read email, news articles, etc.. If you want to stream stuff that will cost you $10 a day. Small issue but the hot water coming out of shower needed to be a bit more 'hot'. Never did quite warm up to my personal like for water temp.
Room was very nice. Staff was excellent as well. There was not much around the area to do but this is a casino after all. The casino was very tight and smoky. A bit pricey for what you get.
Luxurious hotel Floor around stool had urine on the floor room from previous guests. We found this after a nice night in the casino, so less than impressed.
The showers were amazing. The pillows are too soft. Definitely will bring my own next time.
Amazing hotel, very luxurious rooms. Very clean casino, and nice staff. The food in the casino (the burger one), was not the best and not worth the money. They didn't get my order right, but they were nice when asked to fix it.
The bed was so comfortable, the staff was courteous and helpful, everything was very clean and the building was absolutely beautiful! It is located right so close to everything downtown we just walked everywhere! The bedroom was a little bit small, there was only about 2 ft, maybe less, between the end of the bed and the wall. However, it is an old building so that's to be expected. We had a not so beautiful view of the A/C units but for the price, I can't complain.
The property is beautiful, the staff was exceptionally courteous and attentive, and the room was very comfortable and relaxing with an interesting layout. The only thing I could call a negative was the view out our windows of the HVAC units.
The good -The hotel lobby and exterior are beautiful, the decor in the rooms are nice -The beds, pillows and linens were the most comfortable I've ever experienced -The location is perfect, close to entertainment, restaurants and nightlife The bad -There's no fridge or microwave. If you're like me you might think, "no big deal." If you stay more than one night, it's a big frickin deal. You can't even have a cold drink of water without going to the 8th floor for ice. Forget the left overs from dinner you might want to bring back. Or the bottle of wine you'd like to chill. Or anything else that may need to be cold. It's a huge inconvenience that no milk and cookies or free wine can make up for. I can not for the life of me understand why they didn't install a fridge. -The breakfast is the worst. Plan on eating breakfast out. The options are extremely limited. Toast, bagels, cereal, muffins, and a few fruits. If I was staying one night, I wouldn't hesitate to choose this hotel. The problem is, I never stay one night anywhere. The no fridge thing is the tipping point for me. There's nothing else that differentiates this hotel from the major chains than the lack of a couple of basic amenities/services, a fridge, a microwave and a good breakfast.
Access to a pool and hot tub. At least they could let you use the pool at neighboring properties owned by the same company Great suites
Clean, the happy hour, milk and cookies, friendly staff 1 forty pillow
Stunning hotel, extremely nice staff. I normally don't spend this amount on hotels but it was nice to treat myself. I hope I get to go back again! So cute to have cookie time even though I wasn't able to make it, same with the happy hour. I didn't like to 30$ in state fees and taxes .... And that the free breakfast didn't include eggs, ect.
All staff was rude except the valet
Friendly and helpful staff
The rooms were great and the staff were extremely nice.. Had a great time!
For the price you pay for a room you should be able to get free wifi, but you don’t.
Great location. Staff was good too. The rooms were clean and very updated. Shower pressure was great. Rooms had high ceilings. You have a 20/day self parking fee. For the money do ballet for only 10 more
The location is good if you need to be near the conference center. The room was very small. Our view was a brick building. We didn't have enough towels. The front desk staff was indifferent about our requests. Parking is pricey. The restaurant was awful.
Surprisingly reasonable price for a very upscale experience noisy hallways, after I asked to be in a quiet location away from the elevator - that didn't happen.
The staff was incredibly nice!!! I can not thank them enough for their kindness & help! Room was very clean n nice. Felt secured with the elevator being one that u have to put ur key in to open to any floor! Didn't realize the self parking was so overly priced! P
At least breakfast was Alright. Overpriced rooms.
Room was comfortable relative to other business hotels and comparable to any Hilton I have stayed at. Location was described as being within walking distance of public transportation, which is not accurate. Room service order was delivered with missing items, and I was charged for them. Despite apologies from the front desk personnel and a promise that additional charges would be removed for undelivered items, nothing was changed. I asked again at checkout, but when I got the bill on my bank card it was the same. Prices for room service were typically outrageous so that just added to the issue.
Did not get a receipt for my stay. Can you email to me?
While the hotel is clean and beautiful, what really stood out to us was how incredibly friendly and accomidating the staff was. We've never experienced such genuine hospitality before. This will definitely be our "go-to" hotel when we're in St. Louis. Zero complaints. Everything was completely up to par. Proce was fair. We could not find fault.
Very clean No free breakfast
Room was spacious. On site restaurant and bar a benefit. Cabs readily available.
The pillows were nice. The front desk staff was pleasant The carpets were dirty, the furniture was old, and the hotel needs a thorough cleaning and updating. The tub bottom was dirty, as well
Everything was very good except checkout. I had to wait in line for 30 minutes before two customers in the only two lines were helped and the line began to move. I had no issues to resolve, there should have been someone else that was called up to help or an express line for people checking out.
When our room was late they comped us on food items in the restaurant.
The staff was helpful and friendly. We were close to downtown and the room was very clean and was a very spacious room. The hotel was quiet and overall was a very positive experience. There wasn't too many food options right near the hotel, we ended up taking a taxi to the downtown area for most of our trip.
The employees were very nice and helpful. Hotel bed was dirty, found lipstick stain as well as hairs that didn't belong to us.
Check in and out was smooth, room was comfortable, on site parking, good proximity to Busch Stadium and Scottrade Center. Wi-fi wasn't free, TV wasn't easily seen from the far side of the bed. Needed better parking signage from the street.
worth what we paid. Bed was comfortable. Shower pressure was really good mini refrigerator was froze over. we had 2 small conditioners and not a shampoo and conditioner.
The location is good. It has promise. It's across the street from the train station, under construction, and close to the Cardinals and Blues arenas. I didn't like the popcorn in the couch cushions, the pizza left the counter, and the wad of hair floating in the pool. Cleanliness is a real issue. I would overlook the worn facilities if the place was clean.
Good security for the better part. The room was dirty. I found food on the floor. Staff at front desk was fair. A woman followed me into the bathroom that I had to unlock. Strange certainly not a guest. Do not know how she got into the hotel.
The staff were all very friendly, if not terribly helpful. Room was *filthy*. Walls were dirty, carpet was horrifying, and the bedspreads were filthy. They didn't even cover the bedspreads with fresh sheets. Sofa and chairs were so gross we were didn't want to sit on them. We were surprised to find out at the last minute that there was: -no microwave (They offered to bring us a microwave for a fee of $20/day. What?!) -no complimentary parking (We chose a hotel downtown in part to save on parking!!) -no complimentary breakfast So the value of a "discounted" room went out the window.
