8.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was very clean.
Cons: The beds were really hard and uncomfortable .
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance.
Cons: My room was next to the ice machine, because of asking for an early check in. Every morning from 5am to 6am, the construction workers filled their coolers and talked and whistled. I was there for 3 nights so it was annoying.
7.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed.
Cons: Breakfast was below average.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Only hotel in town and was very pricey. Same as a $-- Motel 6 room. I heard my neighbors sneeze and felt someone was sleeping next to me snoring when he snored. In the morning there was no hot water and I had to check out so didn't have time to wait
Cons: No hot water, very thin walls. Heard everything and was waken at 6am by the noise of people walking around and talking in the hallway. Very pricey for the experience and services.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: super clean place and nice, accommodating staff
7.0 Good
Pros: Good location clean though strong cleaning smell.
Cons: Very subpar breakfast. Fruit old, no proteins, and drinks old tasting.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Basic breakfast which we chose to pass up.
Cons: Couldn't get a good setting on temperature in the room.
6.0 Good
Pros: I liked the price for the size of the room and the ample parking
Cons: The bed mattress needs to be up dated to a newer pillow top version. the complimentary breakfast could be improved with hot food
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is a great option to consider for visiting Sonoma County. It is about a 30 minute drive from Santa Rosa, but it is right on the highway and is in a safe area. Close to restaurants and grocery stores, very kid friendly. Highly recommend!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. It was clean and quiet...modern and priced well
Cons: Hot was not hot enough but I can understand that they need to keep from scalding old or young people

7.0 Good
Pros: Nice location, clean rooms.
Cons: Ad said there was a heated pool and hot tub. False, no heated pool and hot tub was not hot. Great steam room made up for it somewhat. Loved the location.
6.2 Good
Pros: • clean (there was even that strip of paper taped over the toilet seat to let you know it had been sanitized) • free wifi • free breakfast (another reviewer complained about limited options, but i found the same options as every other hotel i’ve stayed: 4 different cereals, bagels, toast, hard boiled eggs, diy waffles, prepackaged pastry, coffee, juice. standard ubiquitous & boring “continental” breakfast stuff.) • tons of parking
Cons: • posted hours for pool & hot tub said 10am-10pm, but front desk clerk said that they’re actually only open 5pm-10pm. (i was looking forward to a morning dip before i checked out.) • room was generally outdated. the tv, microwave, coffee maker, coffee, and toiletries seemed like they were all picked out in like 1996 and then never updated. which would be fine for a less expensive hotel, but for $140 a night i expected more. • front desk clerk was curt. not rude, just not particularly welcoming. it’s the little things, you know? • another reviewer mentioned how annoying it was that the bathroom light + fan were connected, so whenever the light was on a loud fan was blowing, and i thought they were being whiny. but after staying in the room i can confirm that actually it is super annoying to have a loud fan blowing when you’re trying to take a relaxing shower.
4.2 Okay
Cons: Bath tub in room and another in bathroom. Bed linens did seem clean or new . Breakfast not good. Entrance to room wouldn't open, microwave on counter with sink. Very uncomfortable room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I'd stayed there before so I was familiar with the facility.
Cons: The noise of the heater/air conditioner.
6.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was no more and no less satisfactory as any in this property price range
Cons: Bed was a bit hard for me BUT that is a personal matter and might be exactly what another would prefer

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Vineyard Valley Inn in Cloverdale, you'll be a 1-minute walk from Russian River and 10 minutes by foot from Cloverdale Historical Society. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
5.0 Okay
Pros: For the price of the room, it was what I was expecting.
Cons: Everything was fine
4.0 Okay
Pros: Was the last unit which had plenty of windows for light. TV was on bathroom wall so I didn't have to worry about having the sound too loud for the neighbors. Single parking space in front of room (if you get it before someone else does. Lol)
Cons: 1) There was absolutely NO hot water in the sink!!! Let it run for about half an hour and it never got hot or even lukewarm! Had to bend around the sink to use hot water in tub. 2) Nightstand lamp outlet was tied into the overhead light switch so if you turned the overhead light off it turned the nightstand lamp off, also. 3) Bottom of bathroom door sticks out so when you shut the door it almost doesn't close all the way.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and quiet.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: Stayed one week in Rm 104 which is a descent room. The next week stayed in room 205 which is a dump. The room was so small I could set on end of bed and touch the wall at the foot of the bed. Every morning saw at least one bug.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was perfect for what I needed. Good heater very comfortable bed lots of hot water....I will come back
Cons: Nothing was wrong. It was a simple plain room. Tv was fine location was fine. No problems!
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is good. Feels safe.
Cons: The rooms need help. Lots of mold, spider webs in the corners. This hotel is definitely a 1 star or lower.
6.2 Good
Pros: The cost is quite reasonable, especially for a Saturday. The staff is very nice and the rooms are clean. Nice flat screen tv. It sure beats the $300 the Healdsburg/ Geyservulle places wanted.
Cons: It could use a little maintenance. The room fan didn't work, the bath fan didn't work and its light flickered.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The price was very agreeable, and I felt the room was everything I was told it would be.
Cons: I was unable to park my car CLOSE to my room...I had to park perhaps 20 yards away.
6.0 Good
Pros: The best part about this hotel is the location and the staff. We arrived late at night and the front desk clerk greeted us with a great smile and was very helpful. The bed was also very comfortable.
Cons: The price is too much for this hotel. It should be priced at the --- dollar range ----is too much. The walls were thin and the furniture should be updated. I'm thinking the price was high because it was in Cloverdale.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean. Friendly front desk person. Parking was especially nice - right outside the door! Beds comfy. We thought this was a good value stay.
Cons: There was no breakfast - not a problem for us but maybe another customer.
7.0 Good
Pros: Clean, basic, nice location, new good towels,,,however need to replace the two disposable plastic cups in the room, we were there for 3 nights and nothing was replaced, and a box of Kleenex in the bathroom would be a nice convenience ,,,basically standard in most rooms , but basically for the $ not bad
Cons: Read above
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the bathroom was nice
Cons: the air didnt get that cold but thats a problem that could be fixed
The Alexander Inn - Cloverdale - Building

9.7 Excellent
Pros: We had the pleasure of staying here this weekend and I can confirm that all the previous reviews are exactly on point. This place is excellent!! We arrived to Paul greeting us with a cheese plate and wine then Paul served us a delicious breakfast the next morning. The entire place is absolutely charming...there is literally no detail overlooked. We stayed in one of the back cottages and it was adorable, clean and super comfortable. Even the mattress and pillows were top-notch. Soaking tub in the cottage complete with bath salts was also a nice treat. Our friends stayed in the main house and their room was equally impressive. I would highly recommend to others and would like to return. Very close proximity to many great wineries and activities around Healdsburg.

7.1 Good
Pros: I like the rustic rooms, they remind me of traveling with my parents a long, long time ago. It does need a face lift but then the cost would be tripled so it was fine all I need is a place to sleep. Fun old fashion out door hamburger place next door and easy to walk around town. Friday nights the street closes down for cars and they have a street fair with music and lots of food. There some some people hanging outside but they weren't bothering anyone.
Cons: The cold water in my bathroom sink didn't work so I had to use the shower to wash my hands. The lawn outside needs to be turned back into lawn

Pros: After visiting Anderson Valley Brewery, I didn’t want to drve to far and optec to stay in Cloverdale. This hotel was just about the only thing around and from the pictures I assumed it would be more like rustic cabins than an old rundown motel. It smelled; and everything extremely dated. It felt safe and was a place to lay my head. Next time I’ll drive further down the road though,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect, it's in the heart of downtown Cloverdale :) The facility is far from corporate so if you're looking for a big chain experience you will not get it here. No pool, woulda been nice to have one, but... given prices in general for everything in the Napa/Sonoma area, this felt very reasonable :)
Cons: Please put in a pool! :)

Cons: No hangers in the closet lack of a towel rack, just holes in wall where it should have been. shelf bracket over sink, no shelf poor functioning AC smoking rooms next door to non smoking room in same wing.

Pros: Quiet!!! I asked for a room away from the street and it was extremely quiet except for the party of inconsiderate aholes that checked in around 11. But as soon as they unpacked their 57 suitcases and went inside all was quiet again. And gotta shout out to the woman owner. She was friendly with a greeting and a smile. Loved her.
Cons: Indifferent front desk guy(owner). And then his AMAZING, friendly wife. There was hair in the shower, I am bald. And my feet were dirty from the floor.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts provided the most delicious breakfast to start off the day. The staff, accommodations and even the cat were top notch. The owners provided personal touches, such as personalized greetings at check in and at breakfast.
Cons: We stayed in the Lorraine Room in the main house. Though we had a private room with private bath, the bath was across the hall. And though the bath was quite large and comfortable, the claw foot tub was challenging to bathe in, especially being tall.
