Pros: Park was super clean. Cabin was very cute and cozy.

Pros: There are a lot of amenities available on the site for everyone in family. The environemnt is calm and location is good too. University of MD is close by and downtown area is a 40 minutes drive.
Cons: The WiFi connection in the cabins gets weaker as you move farther away from the swimming pool area. Having a night light in the bedrooms would have been a plus.

Pros: Very confortable beds. Electric outlets all over, very good. Elegant and practical furniture, a plus. Overall, exceptional.
Cons: Even the small and chip hotels in the area Offer a “Free Continental Breakfast “ why you don’t?........ Is nothing better than waking up and go down to the breakfast room and grave something to eat and having a good start for the day, don’t you think?.....
10.0 Excellent

Pros: I loved the room layout and the modern and unique designs of the furniture. The room was also very clean, and my guests loved the space.
Cons: I did not like that parking was not free for hotel guests. Paying over 150 a night I believe a night of free parking wouldn’t hurt.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are spacious, the bed very comfortable and the staff were excellent
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The only downside is the $8/day parking. New building, faux wood floors in room, spacious rooms, easy access to University of Maryland campus, and the main road (US-1)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Looooved the hotel, inside was so incredibly fancy with a high-tech shower....it seemed so 5 star! Excellent value!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I am disabled and made a last minute request for a room set up for disabled persons. This hotel's set up for disabled persons is by far the best I've ever encountered. Extremely comfortable bed.
Cons: I am disabled and unfortunately, the parking lot elevator was not working which made for a lot of long, up hill walking with luggage - pretty challenging for a person with a walker. Parking was paid for at check out but ticket wasn't validated resulting in a second charged at the exit. I'm still awaiting a refund of the second charge.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very fancy modern hotel, highly equipped, Bluetooth speakers in the bathroom mirror, etc.
Cons: There is no breakfast and dining room, only a restaurant in the hotel. We came for the univercity which is about 20 min. walk from the hotel. Parking is available but for 8$ per day. There is a no good cupboard for clothes, only 3 drawers and cupboard for hanging.

Pros: Beautiful Lobby.
Cons: Room was not cleaned. Toilet was disgustingly dirty. Hair in the shower and on the counter. Nespresso machine did not work properly, think it had a clog. Crumbs on the carpet. Did not expect to be checking my sheets for signs of use in a 5 star hotel.

Pros: Interior design
Cons: Staff not that friendly for 5 star hotel
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, restaurant (Blue Duck Tavern) was A+++++
Cons: Room furnishings tired, AC noisy, made up the bed with no top sheet, only duvet That means you are either hot or cold, top sheet allows better temperature regulation
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, great facilities, great location and very comfortable rooms
Cons: Very expensive breakfast, yet you have a lot of options walking distance from the hotel
1.0 Poor
Pros: Front desk staff was reasonably friendly during check-in.
Cons: This hotel was filthy and run down! Definitely not a three star hotel. And it is located closer to Elkridge then it is Hanover. I feel ripped off getting this hotel as a three star hotel when it was not. Awful stay!
9.3 Excellent
Cons: The hotel should expand it’s lobby. Consists of only a tiny area where there is rarely a place to sit. I found this really surprising for a hotel of such status. The lack of a proper lobby also takes away from the 1st impression one gets when arriving at the hotel. There is room for expansion by taking over a small part of the large adjacent restaurant.

Hotel Indigo Old Town Alexandria - Alexandria - Building
9
9.1 Excellent (901 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Nestled on the shores of one of the busiest ports in America, Hotel Indigo® Alexandria is a charming enclave of colonial treasures and historic waterfront architecture. Between Old Town's iconic cobblestones to the north and the Potomac's storied banks to the east, our boutique hotel showcases the neighborhood's dynamic allure. Traces of Alexandria's colonial past are evident throughout the hotel, but the story got subterranean when crews unearthed a 50-foot vessel during construction. According to archaeologists, the ship was abandoned in the late 18th century and served as a crucial part of the process responsible for extending the waterfront. Take in views of the river from our guest rooms or from the restaurant overlooking the water, then head out to explore the quaint streets of Alexandria, once home to George Washington, Robert E. Lee and Jim Morrison.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: It’s new, clean, aesthetically pleasing, and in a fantastic location. The bed was not the most comfortable. It could’ve been because the bedding was so new. I would absolutely stay at this ho again.
Cons: I left my car running for the valet, and he left my car unattended for about 10 minutes. (We were checking in and could see it) Even though this was a nice area of town, I was not happy about it. After I retrieved the keys, I waited for him. He gave me an attitude.

Pros: I was not paying twenty dollars for breakfast. It was in a great location.
Cons: The floors were hardwood floors, but they did not have any rugs down at all. The shower did not have any pressure to it which was unacceptable. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean rooms with the new furniture, friendly and caring staff, good location with a lot of restaurants nearby
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Simplicity
Cons: No coffee in the room
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I liked the decor; a lot. It was beautiful! I liked that the staff at the desk offered me a water-to-go on my last day when it was super hot out. I liked that the place didn't seem overcrowded at all; even though it was a busy weekend with the convention going on. Oh, and I liked the fact that the staff didn't bat an eye at all the crazy costumes I wore that weekend.
Cons: It's a nice thing; having staff there to open the doors. But, I'm not really used to it. Plus, I tend to move really fast anyway, so I'd often beat them to it. I appreciate doors being held for me and all, but sometimes there was no one there to hold the door (which, I didn't mind, just pointing it out). Oh, also, I didn't like how the thermostat in my room was set up. It didn't really seem like I had that much control over it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very helpful
Cons: Internet was slow
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Arrived at the Morrison Clark Inn in the late evening and staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The room was exceptionally clean with modern furniture. Wish I’d had more than an overnight stay, having just moved out of my apartment and was in the process of a long distance move from Washington, dc to fl. The bellmen took care of my many bags and the front desk staff provided a quick, tasty snack for this hungry traveler who hadn’t eaten all day. The next morning, with their assistance, I was able to check out quickly and drive to the Auto Train station and head to fl. I will definitely consider Morrison Clark when I visit dc in the future!
Cons: Morrison Clark Inn’s check-in procedure reasonably and understandably includes the bellman examining your car and noting any pre-existing damages / scratches for their files. However, the bellman wanted me to sign the blank form, before he even checked the car! I refused to sign until after my car was checked and the few rear scratches were noted. We all laughed, but I was serious, when I said that signing before the car was checked would be like signing a blank check!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was extremely clean, well kept and friendly. The décor was lovely and the front desk clerks were very nice indeed.
Cons: I did think that it was a bit extreme to have fees (delivery and tip) included in the room service charge. While I understand it to a degree, it doesn't allow the customer the opportunity to decide if the service overall is up to par.
7.5 Good
Pros: Unusual historical building. Very clean and comfortable.
Cons: Complimentary coffee was over at 7 am. Not aware when booking that the only parking they offered was valet and it couldn’t accommodate a mini van. No ice machine (had to request buckets of ice from restaurant). No vending machines or small store.
7.0 Good
Pros: I enjoy my experience at Morrison Clark inn - restaurant. The room was very clean and so was the bathroom. Fresh towels and well as sheets and covers.
Cons: If your not familiar with the area be ready to pay for a valet service which is average for the price which is $45 a day. I have a problem with the hotel adding another payment to my bill but it was solved quickly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the quaint boutique historic feel of the location. The hotel was beautiful and perfect for photos and to just sit down and relax in the courtyard or lobby area. The property felt very secure and private which I absolutely appreciated. The staff was wonderful and everyone was so helpful and sweet. It's definitely a hotel I will be staying at again when I'm in the area.

Pros: Breakfast was nice.
Cons: No espresso coffee!

Pros: Charming and quiet.
Cons: No do it yourself ice. Had to tip someone for each bucket.

Pros: I have been to Washington many times and have stayed at various hotels. The Mandarin is wonderful in every respect. First, the staff members are extremely professional, friendly, and welcoming. Second, the hotel’s facility is magnificent. My guest room was well appointed with a beautiful bathroom. The windows do not allow in any sound, which provides a good night’s sleep. The room’s electronic light controls near the bed were so convenient. The bed and it’s linens were very comfortable. Third, the hotel’s location is extremely convenient being only a short walk to the National Mall and Smithsonian metro station. Finally, the Spa and fitness center are truly first class. For example, the fitness center possessed a tremendous amount of equipment for a hotel fitness center. The equipment itself was the same brand used at the Lifetime Athletic were I am a member and used the same electronic interface that communicated with my gym’s personal wellness application. The fitness center offered water and other refreshments. The Mandarin is one of only a very few hotels in Washington that offer a true lap pool. Although guests also used the pool for leisure, everyone was respectful to the fact that I was swimming laps in the swimming lane. The gender specific spa area was very relaxing. It provided lockers, showers, a dry sauna, steam room, plunge pool, an invigorating sense shower with various jets, and a relaxation room with some refreshments. I will definitely stay at the Mandarin soon.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: I love everything about the hotel- the staffs, the room is specious and beatifly decorated, room, bed, bathroom are comfortable. The staffs are friendly. They’re great with kids too. Breakfast is good. Location is perfect. It’s close to sightseeing places but a little tucked away from trafffic and craziness. I love the hotel setting that is next to the water. Everything about this hotel is just 7 star standard I was looking for.
Cons: Parking $55 per night!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Stylish and felt like a luxury hotel should. Room was a good size, bathroom was very comfortable.
Cons: Bfast was overpriced and very busy which slowed down seating and service of cooked meals. Had to use Uber to get to any attractions
10.0 Excellent
Pros: 5 star hotel, it’s beautiful and very close to the mall. Staff is very professional
Cons: This is a fantastic property, the only request I’d have is more options when eating

Kimpton Lorien Hotel And Spa - Alexandria - Building
15
9.0 Excellent (738 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Here at the newly renovated Kimpton Lorien Hotel & Spa, we think that weekend vibes can (and should) prevail seven days a week. Life is all about balance; we certainly appreciate a hard day’s work of collaborating with colleagues or sightseeing in the nation’s capital, but we also understand the value of unwinding and recharging at a welcoming spa, in a fine restaurant or in a lush guestroom that offers pampering without the pretension. Our proximity to downtown DC means that guests can easily experience some urban excitement, but our claim as the only hotel spa in Alexandria defines us as a perfect urban retreat in the heart of Old Town. We offer two exceptional restaurants, charming outdoors spaces, naturally-lit meeting rooms, and a West Coast feel that’s both elegant and relaxed.

We had a relaxing, wonderful day/night and the only negative is that we didn't stay for another night.

Pros: We didn't spend much time at hotel but it was clean and convenient. Breakfast was pretty good.
Cons: Spa room tub temperature was set to low, water coming out of faucets was hotter. Spa was kind of dirty. They have a lifeguard on duty but you have to stay at poolside if you have kids. Tv channel list needs updated.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly & went out of their way to make us feel special and to feel as important as their high profile guests. Practically every staff member wished us a happy anniversary. When we returned to our room in the evening, there was a complimentary bottle of champagne with chocolates & chocolate covered strawberries along with a happy anniversary greeting. Dinner & breakfast were both fabulous. At dinner our server was kind enough to advise us of the size of portions and recommend sharing salads/sides. Timing of the courses was excellent and the filet was perfect.
Cons: There was ample upholstered seating in the lobby, but tables that were being reserved for casual diners from the bar area were not clearly marked as reserved, so we had just settled in after our evening walk when we were told the low table near where we were sitting was reserved, and we had to move. Turned out there was only one small area where we could relax and not have to worry about being asked to leave, although we were hotel guests.

Pros: Squeaky clean. Customers experience oriented staff.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very courteous and super helpful. They even helped my boyfriend (63 yo)with his marriage proposal by giving him a reservation at a great table overlooking the lobby area. The wait staff (from the Steak House) helped him up off the marble floor when he knelt down to propose! It was very sweet and they made it extra special with champagne, desserts and a exploding candle! Make sure to go up to the tower for a great view of DC!
Cons: That we had to leave!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I traveled with my grandchildren and daughter and thought I'd give them a treat by staying at the Trump Hotel. It was just wonderful and beautiful. The highlight of our trip!
Cons: Not one thing!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all very helpful and polite, particularly at check-in and at the bar. The food at the restaurant was fantastic and there is a Starbucks adjoined to the building for those who like a coffee on the way out. The rooms were immaculately presented and the turn down service was reliable (they didn't miss a day) and professional. The location is fantastic and the building itself is an impressive structure. It really is a wonderful hotel albeit it does not come cheap. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend the hotel to other first time visitors to the city.
Cons: Trump himself came to dine here during our stay making re-entry into the hotel difficult as security precautions obviously had to be taken. This is understandable, but nobody told us what was going on so we were made to wait on the street with our room key and all of our shopping bags. We even wondered if there was a sinister incident unfolding as the security staff communicated nothing to us other than that we were not allowed to enter the hotel at this time. The room service menu is ludicrously limited overnight; after 11pm the only vegetarian dish I saw was hummus! Despite these little hiccups, don't be put off as the hotel is beautiful. Just pack some midnight snacks if you don't eat meat and avoid returning with all your heavy shopping at Trump's dinner time :)

Pros: The staff was excellent! Everyone was so helpful and nice. They tried very hard to please us.
Cons: There was no refrigerator in the room. There was a huge mini-bar in the room that was fully stocked - but no refrigerator to put left-overs in from our meals or to keep bottled water in..... In addition, the ice maker on our floor was broken.....

Pros: Checkin was impolite. Not sure how this can be on such a location.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Receptionist was super friendly! ;-)
Cons: The breakfast staff could be more welcoming and attentive. We had two waiters I believe. The first one was not friendly at all and it seemed like we were a bother to him. The second waiter was pleasant but needed to be more attentive.
