Not everything is up front as in reference to all the additional fess and charges. It is in the "Very Fine Print" FEES on top of other fees. I was told if I was to be late they would only charge me a "Pro-Rated" hourly fee... NOPE... 2 hours late, was charged for entire days rental fee? Sad way of doing business... Deception in business today is everywhere. I blame myself for being subjected to these horrible and greedy business practices. Slick marketing bandits... Fees are pure extra profit. PERIOD! I booked the rental on Kayak, was charged for the optional insurance, and then 10min later the rental car company called to say they had no cars available. I was not refunded for the optional car insurance coverage from Allianz.Reviewed Jul 16 2022

I ordered an intermediate size car. When I went to pick it up they gave me a compact car. I showed her my paperwork and she still wasn’t going to give me an intermediate size. I insisted and she finally gave me a little bigger car.Reviewed Dec 23 2021

Due to Covid and some unexpected medical conditions I was unable to travel yet they wouldn't allow me to cancel my rental. That was (much needed) money out the window. When I tried to connect with an agent there was no consideration of circumstance and I was highly frustrated and disappointed.Reviewed Sep 7 2021

We were stranded while traveling, rented and paid the deposit on the vehicle, made other arrangements to get back home, then went to the airport to pick up the vehicle, and we were extremely rudely and inhumanely asked when did you make the reservation. When I replied when we made the reservation, and explained that we were travellers in distress, we were informed that they had no vehicles, they were overbooked, that for some reason, which was not explained, corporate had left the booking open. Over and above this, we were treated very poorly by the women in charge of the Dollar / Hertz counter at Grand Junction, CO Airport. There was not the slightest bit of regret, sorrow, not the slightest bit of apology. She appeared to be taking pleasure from the continued misfortune of our distressed travel group. We will never rent from Dollar or Hertz in our lives again, not should any traveller that has any self respect or any sense.Reviewed Jul 18 2021
