This hotel is Dublin's gem! It's perfectly appointed and well situated within a few minutes (very safe) walk to the attractions, city sights, public transportation, restaurants and tour companies. The entire staff is helpful, knowledgeable and very professional. All their recommendations were spot on. This hotel has my full endorsement.
Fine hotel. Free printing was a good perk. Hotel bar and bar food was a decent and tasty value. The location is suboptimal. It was not a safe walk from the downtown to the hotel at night or in the early morning. It is needed to take a cab from the hotel to the city center during those hours.
Good car parking facilities. Fast check-in/out. Breakfast very good value. Room card key malfunctioned. Needed replacement. Room TV remote did not work properly.
beds very small. Did not seem to be double
Was attending game at Croke Park stadium so location was excellent for that event. If I wasn't attending the game, the location wasn't good. Rate was inflated too much for the game.
very efficient staff- rooms very comfortable and surprisungly quiet for location. - bar food excellent. On settling bill on deparure given small bottle water- nice and inexpensive touch; shuttle bus to 02 a big plus for concer goers
extremely friendly staff helpful staff food bar breakfast included
Staff went out of their way to help and were very friendly and professional. The rooms were luxurious and very well equipped, fantastic value for money. Far enough from the centre of town to enjoy peace and quiet but close enough to walk. When we come back to Dublin we will definitely stay here if it's available. Nothing at all to dislike.
Rooms were some of the nicest at any hotel we stayed in Ireland, restaurant and bar were top notch and the food was great; breakfast was also great. Parking included and very convenient. Business center with 2 computers and free printing. Very nice lounge area. Location was out of the way if you want to do sight seeing, but it was close to the airport so perfect for us (we stayed there the last day of our trip). Bit of a wait for the business center computers, some of the other guests were using for non-business purposes - wish there was a sign that had a time limit or something.
Our bathroom looked like it had never been used it was so clean. The room was spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Bar was busy and comfortable. Our remote in the room for the t.v wasnt working,
Super comfy bed and amazing bathrooms! Loved everything about this hotel!
I have stayed in this hotel on a number of occasions and they have never disappointed me. Clean, Friendly and handy if travelling from the north of Dublin. Nothing
Hotel Staff No independent room heating Small double bed with extra single bed instead of larger double bed as we would have expected
Lack of heating in rooms and bar, only put on at 6.00pm
Value for money, ideal location for Dublin City visit.Staff friendly & helpful, any problem or request was dealt with straight away.Tea,coffee & biscuits were always available on demand. Heating in our room (no.19) was a little on the cool side, the radiators did get hot eventually.Having said that,it was November and the weather was really cold.
The Irish welcome and the hotel's proximity to the city centre
Very friendly and helpful staff; good location
The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly, they made our stay easy. The breakfast was poor
Good location, very near to the city with walk distance, easy to find. Breakfast included the price ( a delicate breakfast with several variations)
Location-proximity to OConnell Street, ideal for shopping on the Northside. Long walk to the South side where most pubs and clubs are. The shared bathrooms were really a turn off. They were very old and also freezing cold. I didn't attempt a shower so was glad to be there only one night. Also the bathrooms were located two floors down from my room.
Room was fantastic- very comfortable and modern. The breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly. The directions to the hotel were a little confusing and I wandered around for a while.
i booked the hotel mainly because it got good score, and the location and price sound good. but i was totally surprised when i was in the hotel. to be honest it was the worst hotel i ve even stayed. it called "2 star hotel".but is even worse than a lot youth hostel. thinking about price i ve paid less in paris, barcelona etc for much better conditions. at least all hotels i could have a shower. in this hotel i could not even wash my hands properly - u must save water in the wash basin to wash! - if you think it`s normal then try otherwise u will disappointed definately. advantage for your trip is that you will be active outside since you dont want to go back. i paid 2 nights but i 1 night i stayed in some other hotel.
the location was brilliant and all the staff were excellent and very helpful the decor could do with updating and the bathroom and shower needs maintainance and repair
Staff very helpful over parking, plenty of info material available, good breakfasts, surprisingly quiet (both internal & external noise) Felt a little run-down - eg fittings with no bulb in or damaged bulb. Would have preferred not to have to ring every time to get in the building.
Very comfortable beds, basic accommodation but good value for money and close to the shops. Quite a walk to Temple Bar Room very basic, bathroom very small and sink was outside in the main room, quite noisy outside
That all four of us could share a room, have individual beds, and be comfortable. It was same price as a hostel, but far better. Great deal! The bathroom was tiny, but it was no problem at all.
The room provided tea and coffee making facilities - although we had to ask for a new kettle as the lead on the original one in the room was heating up instead of the kettle! The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable and the bedside lamp shades were being held on by masking tape. The window was old and let in a draft so heating had to be turned up to the full.Having to ring a doorbell to be let in at night was also slightly frustrating.
The Clifden Guest house was clean and adequate . first impressions would be greatly improved if rooms had matching bedding instead of a mismatch of colours causing you to be disapointed at first opening of room door , the hallways are very nicely carpetted then open your room door and instantly feel let down .
very nice, very friendly staff, comfortable
location is good not far to town center . Friendly bath room is really small
The staff were very friendly and efficient and the room was comfortable though quite small. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Lots of tourist and city information available. The en suite shower room did the job, but was decidedly minimal on space - barely room to turn round in the shower (and I'm not over weight).
Friendly staff, warm rooms on a very cold weekend, very clean excellent value for money and a reasonably central location.
Great little B&B close to Dublin center. Very quaint and convenient! Hotel Employee was great and served us up a delicious Irish breakfast.
Easy enough to get to and get off to the train. Public spaces were very dirty. This place really needs some updating and cleaning. Person running it was fine but not terribly personable. Cleanliness.
Staff very welcoming and responsive to my requests. Excellent breakfast. Bathroom very tiny.
Location is convenient to city center. Breakfast is good, although only served between 8:30-9:30 and they get testy if you ask for an exception. Staff is organized, but will try to talk you out of paying with credit card by claiming card machine broken. Outdated, shabby, rooms are not secure- Same key opens front door and every guest room in the building, meaning another guest could walk in on you at any time, or take something from your room. As a woman, didn't feel safe with that set up.
