the location and the rooms and the speed of check in nothing
Location was excellent
Hotel is very difficult when parking
Breakfast was wonderful Staff (especially Tommy on front desk) were very helpful Location Handicap room, which was not suited for others with low and very small sink. Shower type assured water to go over the floor.
concierge recommendations great breakfast Very small room with minimal closet space and walking space and a step down to get to the bathroom Had larger room for less money on my 5 previous stays here
The staff were fantastic and the location perfect for some city shopping and exlporing the city The quality of room service food to cost was not the best
Efficiency and friendliness of the staff; well-appointed, comfortable, clean room.
Pleasant environment, very nice location, friendly staff and spacious clean and luxurious room. The bed was too soft and streetnoise from nightlife
Staff were very attentive in all areas reception, restaurant, etc
The location couldn't be more central. It's luxury accommodation with top class food and service and all the extras you could imagine Not enough power points/sockets in the room for a modern tech age. The AC unit had mold on it
The central position of the hotel and also the overall excellent quality made for a very good short break.
Comort, facilities, closeness to the centre of *everything* in Dublin Gaining access at 5:30 am was slow
Nice room and bathroom, excellent location, friendly staff, efficient bussiness center Too small double-bed for a five stars hotel, overpriced breakfast
The location was great and the staff was very nice. For $385 per night the room was small, the bathrooms were quirky and bfast should be included...
The location and the staff were excellent. The stereo does not work with current I-Pods.
Location was great, just off the main street (Grafton). Shower pressure was amazing. Staff very attentive. Rooms are smallish when compared to the Fitzwilliam in Belfast. This might be the average room size for this type of room in Dublin.
it was so central
Can't beat the excellent location on St. Stephen's Green and Grafton Street. Staff is very professional and efficient. Rooms are nicely appointed, if a little small for two adults. Breakfast was excellent with great and friendly service. Would definitely stay here again and will recommend to my friends. Rooms are small and awkward space for two adults.
Great location. Comfortable. Great staff.
The staff and customer service was superb. We had a problem with our room and it was sorted instantly with complimentary wine and chocs, etc Try to avoid a room on the sixth floor as there is some noise from the ventilation/heating systems on the roof in the rooms
This hotel is in a terrific Dublin location. Everything is convenient from St Stephen's Green. The hotel is luxurious and well-appointed with many nice details. I did not eat there, so cannot speak to the restaurant side of the deal. The rooms are a little small but nicely finished and the heated bathroom floor and loaner umbrellas were fabulous touches. I was amazed that the room is small - on a par with a London hotel perhaps of similar class. The only quibble I noticed was the quality of the built-in closet in my room. The doors were of poor quality material and didn't quite close accurately on their hinges. A small gripe for an otherwise thoroughly enjoyable stay.
The bed was perhaps the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept on. In the evening, I had a bath and the water was not as hot as I would have liked for a bath.
Friendly staff and peace and quiet
we loved our bedroom, good size and beautiful decor;also it was warm and quiet and comfortable When sitting in the restaurant there was quite a breeze coming up from the lobby and we felt cold
Being in Temple Bar, noise on street till 4... Not really a hotel, just 4 suites.. And Shower not working.. Not good enough at that money!
The W.B.Yeats Suite was beautiful and very well decorated, it was luxury home from home. The Wifi was fast and free. Very good value and superb location in the Centre of Dublin City. Sound proof windows work well also. All day breakfast was excellent . Highly recommended
Location was perfect-close to everything, Well appointed room with all amenities well thought out. Staff was very friendly. Sound proof windows. Very spacious.and clean. The breakfast was excellent. The bathroom door was glass and only part was frosted which was a bit strange.
The James Joyce Suite was beautiful, so well appointed and comfortable. Very pleasant and professional staff. All-day breakfast was very nice. So central for anything in Dublin City. Highly recommended . Very high standards overall and good value for your money. No, it does give what the profile says.
Excellent location, lovely suite. Really comfortable bed. Perfect
The hotel room had been well renovated and was very comfortable and accessible. I would have like cooling options like air conditioning or a fan and a few hair products.
Room was fab... Amazing!! Oscar Wild Suite! Complimentary wine, biscults, chocolate & the regular tea/coffee making facilities! Very central. No staff there at any time (No foyer) - this did suit us but I could see how others might find it irritating if they needed assistance etc!
Excellent location.. brilliant interiors.. Friendly staff.. Lovely facilities..
big and clean rooms, good location. Very limited hot water in wash basin. The rooms are located near the night club so it's noisy during the night.
the room was clean and pleasant. The hotel was hard to get to, gated doors etc. This hotel was also above a sex shop and managed by its workers. There was no one around to seek help. This should not be classified as a 5 star hotel. This is just a clean apartment with sex dvds available.
Fantastic modern hotel, stayed at other Radisson sas hotels and always good. Know what you are going to get. Service in bar area on Sunday afternoon wasn't great. Sat waiting for 20 minutes for a drink (with no nuts)!! Wasn't even busy.
Centrally located, pleasant staff and an extremely good breakfast to statrt the day did it for me. No
Near city center but in a very quiet location. staff is efficient and polite. Breakfest is superb although an expensive one.
Ideal location and the facilities in the room were very good.
The hotel could not have been better. Clean, stylish, peaceful, great breakfast selection, very comfortable indeed. I loved the location too. Close to a wide variety of restaurants, use of a gym nearby and within walking distance of all the sights. I would definitely choose it again.
The facilities in the room were excellent and the staff were very professional and unintrusive. E10.00 per day charge for car park; although this was waivered due to us being misinformed about early breakfast options.
A clean modern hotel, ideally positioned to explore Dublin. 25 minute taxi ride from the airport (approx 30 euro). Comfortable, well equipped room. Extensive buffet breakfast.
The room Poor service. Bad dining experience
It was very central for Dublin. We were given a free upgrade to Business class - the room was superb. The restaurant was very good and to a good standard. Staff were friendly and courteous. The hotel has a business feel to it which may put off families with younger children. It was very good but as i am a discerning diner i did send back the venison which was tough and i did send back the wine and exchanged it for a more expensive. The Syrah was not good quality so i asked for a St. Emilion which was much better. The staff were excellent though in catering for my needs. The aircon and heating did not work in our room but this was promptly attended to by the maintenance dept and repaired.
I enjoyed my stay at the Radisson Blu. The staff was courteous and helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful with a nice pub on-site with great food! I highly recommend it!
The room was very comfortable with an amazing bath and separate shower. The room had a flat screen TV with a good range of channels. We had dinner in the restaurant on the Saturday evening which was very pleasant. The breakfast was not included in the price which was fine, and we paid for separately, however - there was no price choice to either have a continental or buffet. I had the works but my mum only had a crossoint and a cup of tea which still cost 25euros.
Friendly staff, comfortable room, good restaurant
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and the room were clean and very well maintained.
Location, decor Very small standard room, but to be expected in larger city
Excellent staff so friendly and with great attention to details. Twin room very spacious and clean with every convenience. Exceptional breakfast great choice and plentiful. Nothing
Bartender Rooms way too small; poor quality of linens and blankets
Reception is so kind.
I loved the television that was in the wall at the end of the bath. The room was spotless and very comfortable, and the staff were friendly.
Very good restaurant, pleasant bar.
Staff all very friendly and helpful, comfortable bed and nicely appointed room, great location A minor quibble - there is no celebratory sparkling wine on the wine list under 100 Euro unless you like Prosecco which we find too sweet. Surely an Antipodean methode champenois or drier style cava could be added to the wine list?
Brooks is a beautiful hotel in central Dublin. We walked to Dublin castle and business. There's tons of shopping and restaurants nearby. We also walked to Kilmainen gaol, but we took the bus back. We were on the street side but it was quiet at night. Beautiful older hotel with modern amenities!
Location and Staff Expensive Breakfast
The hotel is located in central Dublin and within walking distance of Trinity College as well as the National Museum. The staff is friendly and very helpful. We got in very early and there is a lounge downstairs with internet, couches, etc. They brought us a tray with tea and coffee which was lovely! I would highly recommend this hotel.
The breakfast that we probably paid for was not available until 7.30. That is late in terms of business travel, and we in fact left at 7.00. and bought breakfast at the airport.
staff attentive and very hepful. Very surprised to have to pay for internet access. I found this highly unusual in an upscale hotel.
Great VALUE for being so well centered. Great walking to main drag on shopping, the park and about .75 miles to Temple Bar. Beds were comfortable and staff was attentive on needs. They never cleaned our room for a two night stay had to ask for new towels. Quiet enough if you have a room in the back. Bit dated in common areas.
the rooms were comfortable and spacious the noise from the street during the night was horrendous
Large Bedroom, the location, Spacious and light in the comunual rooms
it's location noisy outside at night with car horns blaring until middle of the night and revellers leaving nearby pubs and clubs
Central location The noisy nightclub next door
Comfort and Facilities of Room
20 minutes' walk from the city center. Adequate breakfast. It was very disappointing, instead of a 4-star hotel I found one that barely deserved 2. The rooms were very small, no AC, heating didn't work. No Internet access neither free nor paid. Very old rooms, very noisy (both from outside the hotel and other rooms).
rooms were lovely, comfortable, clean and quiet and I would certainly book again. the person I was staying at the hotel with suffers from claustrophobia so she would not use the lift and also the breakfast room did not have a window to see out, so she was a little anxious. however she thoroughly enjoyed her stay and the facilities. the breakfast was the best we had on our trip. thanks also to your excellent helpful staff. will come back for sure.
Location Broken forniture and no min bar
Beautiful hotel, comfortable bed nice bath very nice clean comfortable room with very friendly staff. I would definitely stay there again. The only thing its a bet pricy. The breakfast should have been included in my room rate and what I paid. Overall very good place to stay. Very nice renovated bathroom and room while remained the AA status of the hotel.. The breakfast was not included in the room rate I paid.
breakfast was lovely
Front desk staff always seemed busy giving tourist info to guests ahead of me. Weird how you must pass the desk to get to your room. Felt like you are passing a panel of judges, though theyvare friendly. I think they should have an irish accented greeter because the staff here sounded like any nice hotel in san francisco where I am from.
It was convient for a gig in the Olympia The staff were not one bit friendly or efficent.
booked a double room for one night.very basic. not worth the money paid. mildew in bathroom.dirty soap holders. poor lighting in room. hall light coming through door space between door and doorjam.wall could do with painting. also would be nice if hotel validated full price of car parking.never stayed at hotel where had to pay to park there!
its location the toilet door had no stopper which was very annoying as the door would not stay open by itself. Room 413
The location was very good for access to the city The rooms were tired and could do wirh a refurbishment
very average hotel, good that on w/end break no time to spend in hotel, but location is very good before changed room, window didn't shut, noisey with traffic on front and curtain rail fell down, rooms looking dated, 50 euros would be reasonable value
Atmosphere very relaxed, staff very nice and helpful
The location was excellent, security was very good and the café downstairs had very fresh, tasty food. There was half-price parking at the adjoining Carpark, although Jury's don't own it. The lighting in the room is soo dull and I actually couldn't see to get things out of my bag it was so dark, eventhough my bag was under one of the 'lights'!! Ridiculous. Also, the house staff were extremely pushy and rude on the morning of our departure as at 11:50am, they were knocking at the door to remind us that we were to leave at 12noon. Then again at 11:55am, another knock came to 'remind' us, we were obviously packing the last of our things and were not impressed at all with this nonsense and rudeness. Were they running around alll the occupied rooms knocking and checking in the final minutes of their stay just to 'remind' them of something they knew anyway? Most annoying and a little infuriating.
perfect location in the city , clean and very helpful and friendly staff
The central location and the security arrangements. The man inside and the swipe card entry to the inner part of the hotel itself The hotel looks a little tired and needs painting in parts
Location to the main shopping area in the city.
Good, helpful staff
Great location in the centre of the city. The room was lovely with a nice big bathroom. Beds were comfortable. Parts of the hotle were very cold and breakfast ended very early on a Sunday
the room was large and in good taste, breakfast ok. A most dull, uninteresting hotel. there is no effort on the part of anybody to make this hotel a lived in place! the same fault as in the other two O Callaghan Hotels I stayed in. Staff is most uninvolved and uncaring.
Staff was great. Arrived early in the morning and they had my room available for early check in. Breakfast was included and very good. Location was great and room clean and spacious. None
Clean, roomy room and convenient location to City Center tourist attractions.
Poor quality of service at reception
Breakfast was wayyyyy to expensive for what there was on offer. It would be better to have a separate price for just the continental (jams, toast, fruit, etc).
I've stayed there a few times, things happen efficiently, always consistent.
The staff was most helpful. The location in Dublin was great for touring and ease of use. The rooms were very nice. Lovely bathrooms. Breakfast was pricey for food offered.
The friendliness of the staff was a big plus in the hotel's favour. The room was pleasantly furnished and the location was great for trips into Dublin city. We had a twin room booked at a rate of €79 per night for the room, but learned that the usual rate (especially at weekends) is at least €200 per person sharing. Whilst the hotel is very nice, it is not a luxury hotel and such prices are outrageous. I would not have stayed there for that price.
Proximity to city centre. Parking is expensive in the city centre.
The location on the Quay and just backing onto Temple Bar (so it isn't too noisy either), the nicely done refurbishing of the original arts and crafts design/style including the wood panelling, the Octagon Bar and the Tea Room were all highlights. Very good bed linens, and comfortable bed and pillows. The Clarence has a bit of 'cool factor' about it too which never hurts! We were a bit disappointed in the room decor, which was rather uninteresting, and even Ikea-ish which for us is definitely not a plus. Blonde wood furniture in an otherwise darker wood arts and crafts movement sensibility seemed odd. Rooms were very bland and smallish which isn't surprising in an older hotel of course.
The location and the rooms were very good. The staff were very friendly. The workout facilities were limited.
The bed was comfortable and the fridge was a nice bonus. Check-in is kind of late in my opinion. Travelers with early arrival flights have to wait a long time before they can have access to their room. Also, the location while nice, is a burden i.e. noisy at night.
The quality of the room design, materials, decorations, are all first-rate and comfortable. The service from check-in to delivering a requested U.S. to British Standard wall transformer was splendid. We had a late arrival into the city, dinner with friends, and just less than 3 hours stay in the hotel before our taxi arrived for a pre-dawn flight home. Would have enjoyed staying for a while.
No nonsense good service. Very good restaurant for both dinner and breakfast.
Everything was just perfect. The staff were all friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A refreshing place to stay We had to leave!
When I arrived, I was shown to a very small room, clearly the worst in the hotel, with barely room to walk around the bed and a view of the air con system outside. However, when I immediately complained, I was given I more suitable room within ten minutes. The service was exemplary. The staff were very, very, good, and the hotel was clean. The breakfast was nice, as was my antipasto platter I had in the bar before the gig. I think that the lack of coffee machine in the room is a big drawback. I've stayed in many hotels of this price range, and I think that a Nespresso machine or something like that is important, considering the price of the rooms. I like to have coffee before I see anybody, and that includes the room service waiter. The quality of the room service coffee was not acceptable, either. Also, the selection of toiletries was inadequate and not up to the standard of other similar hotels we've stayed in. Inchydoney, Cliff house hotel in ardmore, The Westbury, all similar prices, all have more facilities in the room, decent toiletries, and a coffee machine. I'm afraid I will not be recommending the CLarence, I prefer the Westbury ~in Dublin.
Beautiful room and the food in the restaurant was excellent , staff attentive. The location is perfect to see Dublin. No dressing gowns in room and no tea/coffee in room although there is a 24 hr room service.
The location is absolutely fantastic. The room was HOT! The hotel does not have A/C. We stayed once before in November and did not notice there wasn't A/C then. In fact we were excited to stay again at this hotel because our first experience was so good. Our most recent trip was in June and the room was very hot even though it wasn't hot outside. We opened the windows, but it was very loud outside and the cigarette smoke and food smells from the bar below were unbearable. The hotel does warn that it's loud because of it's location if you open the windows. The hotel should invest in the mobile A/C units that cost about $800 each. It would be well worth it for summer months.
The hotel is in a great location where everything happens. For young couples that like to stay out late this is really great. The service is great. The rooms are not very spacious, and we paid a big price while the view from the window was not on the street but inside square of the hotel so our window faced other hotel rooms windows. You would expect to get a better view in a suite.
The rooms and facilities are great. The service is highly professional and courteous. Right next to a small cafe if you want breakfast but don't want to dole out the 10-15 euro for the hotel's. Stay was overall very good. You are still in downtown Dublin, though, so keep in mind that while closed windows help greatly, there are still lots of people partying just outside in the adjacent bar/club.
The positioning of the hotel was quite good I was quite dissapointed by the Clarence. I am glad I only paid a reduced rate for the room, it was very noisy all night (due to a constant hum from the nearby boiler) The window had to be open as the room was stifling! A fan was provided but obviously the noise from the fan was not conducive to a good nights sleep!
it's location is very convenient room was quite dark
Great, and very helpful staff! My accomodations were clean, well equipped, and centrally located from shopping centers, Pubs, restaurants and tour bus stops! Great value for your money!
was happy the way front desk staff looked after me needs i like the breakfast that was put on before i left to run the marathron... plus the late check out that was great for me before my long drive home..
breakfast very good, central trundle outside the window every morning at 6.30 a.m.(City Council)
The location was perfect.
The Hotel is excellent, rooms clean and comfortable and I could recommend it to anyone on an overnight city center stay. The staff were very courteous and friendly.
The staff were very helpful and the location of the hotel was brilliant.
All the Staff were really freindly, especially the bar staff.
The location was very central, very close to Grafton Street and many restaurants and the bar bia restaurant which is in the hotel was very good. The only negative that I have was when I had a shower the shower curtain didnt stop the water from hitting the floor, so when I got out the bathroom floor was like a swimming pool.
Frindly staff, clean rooms right in the center of the city, Value for money The work men using the same facilities as the guests
Very close to the center of Dublin, everything within walking distance.
the room No irish breakfast
The central location, within easy walking distance of Dublin's City Centre, and just beside Stephen's Green.
convinient, at night there was more noise than we expected
Great location within easy walking distance of shops and Olympia. Room very comfortable and quiet. The only thing I had a problem with and heard others mentioning were the stairs! We probably all just need to get fitter!
Spacious rooms. Convenience to city centre
very clean, valuable
The olde worlde feeling of the decor & the relatively quiet location but within easy reach of shops, tram etc. An extra bed was in our "Twin Room" The room was a bit cool partly due to a badly closing double-glazed window and a lukewarm radiator. Also, one lightbulb failed !
Staff was kind when we asked various things. The room was large and comfortable. The lighting was dark.
Hotel is very close to my office and it is also very close to the city center - 10 min. walk in nice area There is no to many think to select during the breakfast. In the lobby os a bit chilly.
was clean and in a good location, loud. did not sleep well. bar/club downstairs was extremely loud , we were awoken by staff at 4am for an emergency that wasn't actually an emergency
There is a bar on the ground floor that played extremely loud music until 3am- we eventually got moved to the 4th floor & could still hear it there- we had little sleep & it really spoilt our trip as we were exhausted the following day.
Good value for the location! Walking distance from most attractions. Perfect for someone just looking for a base in Dublin and not planning to spend much time in a hotel room. Facilities a bit dated, but clean and in working condition. Very noisy, but that should be expected for a hotel in Temple Bar. Wifi did not work. Not ideal for someone looking for more than a bed to sleep in at night.
Great location in temple bar with many tourist attractions right near. Very noisy till 4 or 5am because of being in temple bar but loved the atmosphere.
Bathrooms were clean. Staff was pleasant. Very poor lighting. Very noisy location.
I found the staff to be helpful and informative. The location near the Bayswater underground was perfect. The bed was very comfortable and room was clean. It was noisy. The walls were thin, making it so you could hear doors closing, toilets flushing, and conversations in and outside...making it difficult to get a good night sleep.
great for the temple bar area. Good breakfast. friendly staff. nice design and bar/music/restaurant downstairs. Quiet room (we asked not to be above the bar, 3rd floor courtyard room was good) room a bit small but not a big problem for a couple of nights. Ask for one of the bigger rooms for a longer stay.
Great Location. Front Desk Told us to Park in their Garage.. Woke Up at 5am to go on our $200 each Prebooked tour..and the garage was locked, with NO WAY TO OPEN IT until 7am!!!! Completely missed our tour- whole reason for visiting Ireland!! Front Desk staff was useless, and their initial information was our trip fail. Refused to take responsibility for the issue!! Would never recommend the hotel to anyone. Bar downstairs also stays open until 3am, no matter what day of the week YOU WILL hear the noise. Hot. No fans or Air. Wifi only works in Lobby, but extremely slow.
The location!!! The staff The beds Minimal plug outlets so charging multiple devices was difficult.
They charged for water in the room.
The location was key for me as a solo traveler. It's central to the Trinity College area, Dublin Castle, the Liffey River, Temple Bar and easy walks elsewhere. It is situated at the corner around 3 busy bars so expect it to be loud during the wee hours of the night. My fight landed super early in the morning so when I arrived at 6:30 am to the hotel I was pleased to find out my room was ready. The Wifi only works in the bar and lobby. I could stand in one corner of my room and maybe get a signal. The lighting was pretty dim and the king bed is 2 twin mattresses together, or feels that way with a seam down the middle of the bed and the pillows are a bit hard. If the cabbie you have doesn't know where the Paramount is when you tell them give the Turks Head bar as a reference.
The staff here were fantastic and helpful with every request. Hotel was clean and close to Temple Bar.
It was in a Great location and great having Bistro and bar in hotel Staff, especially in bar and somewhat in Bistro and reception, were not always available or very friendly
Good location, nice cafe&deli nearby, friendly staffs, large room for single use. I would like to stay again for the next visit to Dublin!
Basic but functional Shower valve hanging off wall. Hourly chime of ChristChurch Catherdral.
Great location and good value. En suite room was cosy and clean.
Good breakfast and an excellent hotel bar downstairs.
The price - very comfortable hotel at reasonable price The shower overflowed onto the bathroom floor
very pleasant nothing
Classic hotel at the heart of the city. Extremely convenient! They could use some updates, but the bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom was clean. Also they had a mini fridge which apparently hotels don't have anymore or something.
Walk to everything. Most uncomfortable bed I've slept in in a long time. Shower floods bathroom. Basically all about where if you don't mind the what. Just not very elegant.
The Hotel was very clean and warm. Its location was perfect for Trinity college/Grafton Street/Temple bar the Castle and Cathedral The Cathedral bells kept me awake as they chime regularly and my room faced the building. The young girls on reception were unfriendly, and appeared bored most of the time, however, other staff were very helpful.and welcoming.
The price and location you just couldn't beat. Just a few short blocks off Temple Bar (5 minutes) and directly in front of Christchurch. With the DART (Tara Station) a short 10 minute walk, and Hueston train station 15-20 minute walk...depending on how fast you walk, you can literally hop all over Ireland. Shopping on Henry Street and Grafton Streets were also very close by. All in all everything is walkable from this hotel. the hotels itself is very clean and comfortable. The staff is very helpful, polite and very welcoming. I would definitely stay here again should my travel plans ever take me back to lovely Ireland! Nothing!
The Room was very, clean , great Location and ideal for a city break The Breakfast is quiet expensive for what you get.
