This hotel is fine. It's basically what you'd expect from a $60 hotel. Bathroom is fine. I think people knock it because it's been retro fitted for ADA which makes the layout very open. Wifi is decent for simple stuff. Note there are two networks depending on which building you're staying. Location is one outskirts of town, beds are good enough. Staff was polite and of course Charlies should be your plan for breakfast ☺ Towels were a little thin but whatever Has the PNW mustyness, if you're from here you know what I mean, if you're not then realize that this is a rainforest and its hard to keep this smell out of carpeted rooms. This isn't a knock on the hotel. When I lived here I remember this being problem everwhere
I like the location, close to the mountains and quick access to trails On Mt. Peak. For being located in what I thought was a small, quiet town this place was scary. The person who checked us in looked like he had been involved with gangs. Big jewelry on a male, tattoos, backwards baseball cap and teeth that looked like they had been subjected to drugs. I Hesitated giving him my credit card. Our toilet didn't flush and when my husband opened the top to try and fix it, he reported seeing black mold. My parents stayed in a room down the hall from us. They like sleeping with their window open - but unfortunately this meant that they had to listen to karaoke well into the night. When we arrived back at the hotel after a wedding, there was a large group of people in the courtyard. It was late and they were loud.
Front desk was incredibly helpful and the Mexican restaurant was great!
Clean comfortable room. The staff was very friendly and helpful with local information.
Never got my money back
It was close to the event I was attending. Rooms were extremely outdated, stains on furniture, and the shower leaked. The out-the-front-wall A/C was loud, and there was no extra amenities in the room such as a hair dryer or ironing board. With some refreshing and a few upgrades this could be a great little motel. Also, muffins, croissants, and some pastries shouldn't really count as a continental breakfast.
Very easy walk to the Washington State Fairgrounds. Friendly staff. Good value.
Nothing to like, except maybe the price. Hotel room had many problems and repairs that need to be done: Bathroom door knob had been push clear through the wall and not repaired. Not enough lighting. The lights in the middle of the two beds wouldn't work and were very loose. Freezer in the refrigerator obviously had not been thawed out for a very long time - it was all ice except enough room to maybe put a sandwich. The closet rod in the bathroom didn't have any coat hangers. The telephone was set on a chair because it wouldn't reach the table. There was a 6" rip in the bed comforter. The complimentary breakfast was coffee only and the bagged muffins were very small. THE WORSE MOTEL WE HAVE EVER STAYED IN!!!!!!!
Nothing We will not stay there again, way to much money for a dirty run down room that the heat did not even work most of the time, the bathroom was disgusting and the bedding was so scratchy and uncomfortable.
