Conveniant location, excellent breakfast, comfortable beds. We have stayed at this hotel before, and will again when we are in the area. The accommodations are very comfortable, with plenty of parking, a clean room, nice mattresses, and a quiet (and accurate!) heating/cooling system. The hotel was not full during our recent stay, so not an accurate test, but the room was very quiet - could not hear neighboring TV's or conversations. The hot breakfast was one of the best! Pancakes, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy were available, as well as a complete assortment of cold foods. Lovely breakfast room. All in all, a great value. We'll be back! ... more

Close to freeway access. Not too far from downtown Hendersonville. Easy access to Asheville. Cleanliness felt a little below average. The breakfast was below standard. The staff was nice enough to let me check in 30 minutes early, but that's about the only plus I can list. The air conditioner in the room was louder than the clothes washer at home. The TV required being turned on and off a few times before it was able to connect to the cable service, and then the picture on it was so dim that it literally wasn't watchable. The remote offered no way to adjust the picture nor did the few buttons on the side of the unit. The door card lock took 8-12 tries EACH TIME to get the door to open, which made getting into the room when juggling bags really fun. It simply just didn't register. The winning unlock was performed the same as the losing unlocks. I also paid for a room with a queen bed and got a full instead. I definitely won't be staying here again. There's zero point in paying Hampton Inn prices to get a run-down / budget quality of stay. The room and bathroom were large and clean. Convenient location right off the interstate, but no signage to help direct you to the exact location down a short side road. Good selection for breakfast which included scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles and the other usual breakfast food items. Morning desk staff was very pleasant and friendly. Lots of restaurants in the area and close to attractions. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was adequate, but not nice. It was cheap, and that made it ok for our one night. Bathroom and sink area were clean. Carpet was not well vacuumed, especially around the edges. Bedspread and sheets were clean (I hope!). It was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was pretty standard for this type of place (and as ample and diverse as another hotel in the area at which we had paid double the price). So, if $$ is the priority and you're willing to tolerate some less than clean carpets, this is your place!

We were put in a terrible room on the first floor, behind the elevator, near the ice machine, open to the main lobby and open to the dining room. I asked to me moved but was told that there were no other rooms available. The clerk promised to move us the next day, but did not follow through. The toilet was broken in our room When we reported it, he gave us a trash can to put underneath the pipe so it would not leak on the floor. He made no attempt to get a repairman to fix the toilet. The toilet would start runnng loudly for no reason and woke us up in the middle of the nght. The AC/HVAC unit was in the bedroom and there were no ducts in the living area or bathroom, making them very warm. There was a short in the light switch in the bathroom and had to leave the lights on because the switch wouldn't work. On the second night, our toilet overflowed into the bathroom floor. Love the old fashioned charm of a retreat cottage in the scenic mountains. The breakfast and dinners were outstanding and gourmet all the way. Staff was very accomodating and friendly.
