Pros:

I was able to upgrade my compact car to a Camaro Convertable for a small cost. It was an amazing experience! It drove smooth, great on gas and was very clean. I would rent a Camaro again. Pick up and drop off was simple and the customer service was top notch! I will definitely rent here again.

Cons:

I loved everything.

The service that I received during the pick up of the rental could not have been better. The assistant manager at this location went above and beyond and because of this our vacation was improved 10 fold. I could not be happier.

Cons:

During the drop off I had to get a ride that was on a time table. The return took considerably longer than the pickup due to the staffing of the office. (Only one person working at the time) With that being said they did what they could and I left a happy customer. They will do whatever they can to earn your return business and I recommend them without hesitation.

The car I ended up with was a nice, clean, Chevy Cruze.

Cons:

Upon arrival they harassed me because I had made the reservation that same day. According to Avis, if you do so, you must call the pick-up branch to confirm availability. Since i had not been made aware of that, i hadn't done such. So, they were out Economy vehicles, and they refused me any vehicle without a substantial upcharge.

Car was very clean and in excellent condition. Suffered a thrown rock and crack in windshield, which team handled well with no hassle on our part.

Limited selection of cars available and long line at check in

Rented a car online, went to pick it up across town and was told by an extremely rude agent at the Walmart in Ft Collins Colorado that there were no cars and it only allowed my reservation due to a “glitch” in the system. The agent then belittled me for making my reservation that day saying I should have reserved it sooner. I will never rent from Budget or Avis again. Their employees need to be trained and some terminated.

Car was not ready to be driven. Oil change was past due kept getting messages the entire trip that it was past due. The air in the tires was 27, 30, 45 and 39 which is ridiculous obviously NO ONE did a review of the car before I picked it up. I had to pull over twice to get the tire pressure correct and from the time I left the oil change light was on. In addition the windows on the inside were not cleaned and therefore caused issued with night vision. I give you an F on preparation, worst condition of any rental car I have ever driven

They wouldn’t rent me a car after booking and providing my card info, because my license is out of state. I was stuck 4 hours away from home for the whole night.

Let people know before buying what kind of problems they may run into prior to getting to the car place

Pros:

The size of the car was nice and the price was good. I like most of the bells and whistles that the car comes with. I like the avg. MPG display the most.

Cons:

There was some trash that wasn't mine I found when cleaning it (I was the only one ever in it). The radar detector was a hazard for me personally, although I think it may have been malfunctioning. The loud beep when I'm changing lanes on a freeway made me hesitate longer before transitioning completely and increased the danger to me. The "replace oil and oil filter" prompt came on the screen from the first time I turned the key and every time after.

I was able to choose the exact car I wanted and was even able to reserve a cooler and boogie board to use for the week. The car was in like-new condition. The free shuttle was convenient, fast and the drivers were nice. The location was a little bit further from the airport, but it wasn't a problem.

It was the first time we rented via Turo, so I don't have a good base reference to compare in general, and can only compare to car rental experiences with commercial fleets (like Budget or Enterprise). In general it was okay -- we made it to where we were going and back, with no major issues. It's doable. However, there were some "surprises" where things didn't quite got as we expected: * We made rental reservation with expectation that we're picking up at the airport. When we got there, it turned out that the car is not at the airport, and the address given to us turned out to be what seemed to be Portland's airport Fire Rescue Tower (where, obviously, we can't even walk to or be at). We called the owner, and turned out that the car is at some house that's "not far" from the airport, and gave us new address. So additional expense of taking Uber/Lyft to get to the car (and apparently that address exists in two neighboring towns, and somehow Uber/Lyft took us first to the wrong one, so we had to take another ride, but that's not a Turo issue, just more expense as a consequence of car not being at the airport as promised). * When we got there, we called the owner to get the keys: "-- Keys are under front door's floormat. -- Nope, they're not there. -- Then try mailbox? -- Yes, they're there." The owner wasn't there, which is okay to do this all remote, but would be nicer if owner was in general "on top of things" such as where the car is and where it is expected to be picked up, where exactly are its keys, etc. * Then owner requested that prior to return we take the car to be washed and cleaned inside and out. We neither planned on looking for car detailing places in Portland, nor for time that it would take away from sightseeing, nor for extra substantial expense it would be. We pushed back and the owner backed off saying that he'll let it go due to confusion with pickup location (and apparently he didn't send some email that he was supposed to send, or something along those lines). * And while the car wasn't too dirty, it wasn't clean to begin with (which made detailing request that more amusingly odd). Crumbs on floor and seats and luggage compartment. Worst part was that windshield was dirty on the inside that was minor unpleasant at daytime, but as driving progressed into night time, it was quite significant as it was blurring lights and affected visibility substantially. * We also added additional driver thru Turo and let the owner know. The owner requested that we send him picture of drivers license directly to him. We refused (as it didn't seem right, given that Turo is the one that manages that aspect) and he backed off. * Of course, additional expense of Uber/Lyft after return drop-off as we weren't dropping it off at the airport as originally planned. So all in all we probably spent additional $50-60 in Uber/Lyft for getting to and from cars location instead of it being in the airport, and lost about 3+ hours for dealing with additional unplanned travel. The rest was okay. Car drove fine and didn't give any problems.
