Car had dirty and smeared windshield on the inside, requiring me to clean it myself in order to have a clear view……… Interior had muddy sill plates, getting onto my pant legs quite easily…… Rear cargo area was not adequately vacuumed, and generally the car was sloppy….. Wiper fluid warning light came on, indicating it was not fully topped off….. Desk agents were stone faced and grumpy. They were clearly in the wrong public facing roles.

We reserved something that was ford explorer or similar but given a car that was over 11 inches shorter in length and shape, too small to hold what we had, as the ford explorer size would have. Then, budget charged us 50$ more for a jeep cherokee stating it was a class above an explorer. And charged us 100$ additional upon returning the car for an additional hour even though it took 40 minutes to sort when picking up and we didnt actually pick the car up until pretty close to the time the car was returned.

Made same day reservation: was told upon arrival at the counter they did not have any cars available. Lucky to get a ride back to Denver with two strangers. Really hoping I’m not charged for the reservation.
