The staff were extremely friendly. They were very knowledgable of the area as well. We were in town for a function & not too familiar with the area but the staff made sure we knew where things were. Plus the hotel had asked if there was anything I needed before we came & the fridge was in the room Being a short stay ( 4 nights) I wasn't too concerned about the beds being made but fresh towels would have been nice. They gave us some when we saw them in the hall but only on 1 day the bed was made
Serving staff Overall state of shabiness. The hotel appears to be a relatively new hotel, while exhibiting a total lack of care to the physical plant.
I liked the room layout. The premium cost and then no perks. Water $4.00 a bottle, no fridge, dirty bathroom. We typically stay at Hiltons/Hamptons but they we're sold out. We drove out of way thinking that we were staying at a premium location but the pictures most of been taken 20 years ago. The place was ran down, maid service would wake you up and they lost our reservations and did not have our days in right from our booking with booking.com I would only stay here again if the price was stellar but this was one of the pricier hotels in the area.
After giving me the wrong room assignment, the staff gave me free Wi-Fi! However, the Wi-Fi only worked if I was standing in the corner of my room balancing on 1 foot while I held my iPad on top of my head.
Very clean and classy hotel. The room was comfy and great! Only complaint was we could hear the tv in the room next to us at 1130 pm.
Room was very clean. Bed was so comfortable! The furniture looked brand new, very nice. Everything was good.
Very nice room and smart layout. Hotel emailed me asking what I would like and the had my requests available. No bellman available during stay. Poor parking. Floor was designated as a dorm for college, very strange. Broken front automatic entrance door.
The bed was really comfortable and the room was clean. It's a nice hotel for couples who want a night of privacy. No refrigerator and the pool closes too early.
The place is nice got a suite with jacuzzi The resort booked a bachelor party in the suite next to us you could here the stripers and parting all night till 3:00am complained to management and nothing got done about it .
The pools are awesome. The indoor/outdoor pool is so warm you can swim outside in the winter. My kids had a blast.
Breakfast was good for this type Hotel. Room did NOT match the pix on their website! It was like stepping back in to 1986, except they did have a granite countertop on the vanity. It is possible I got an old room. maybe some are updated, I'd ask when checking in! Worst was the broken arm on the Walmart quality desk chair, the gas lift strut was broken too, so sitting at my computer I was like a kid at the table, way low! Also had about 1/2" of foam left in the seat. Miserable and inexcusable!
It was recently remodeled. It was very conveniently located to the conference we were attending. The staff was extremely accommodating and it was a great value for the money. The bed was very comfortable - not usual for most hotels in this price range. The bathtub/shower was not remodeled but clean and adequate. The fridge was a little noisy but tolerable.
The size of the rooms were great. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were kept fresh and made up quickly and inconspicuiosly size of bathroom counter
Price, location, staff Breakfast (pathetic compared to other Best Westerns), room size, bed size
Very comfortable, great breakfast & wonderful staff! Plumbing system from the 2nd floor was very noisy :-(.
Large rooms - friendly staff tub showers
The hotel was clean and nice for the money we paid to stay. The breakfast. The waffles taste like they added something to the batter or spoiled. Took one bite and almost vomited. The sausage taste like frozen patties from a box. Eggs were terrible. Orange juice and apple juice taste like it had no flavor. If you are going to this hotel, make sure it's not for the complimentary breakfast.
Very clean. Professional and friendly staff. Easily accessible.
The breakfast was very good. Lots of choices and a very nice eating area. The front desk staff, with a couple of exceptions, was very helpful with giving us recommendations and driving directions. The hotel was quite Maid Service was marginal. Twice she/he failed to leave us coffee pods. When they were left it would have been nice to have at least 2 per person.
The location was great for a conference in Wheaton. The staff was very professional and friendly. Overall the facility was clean and quite.Take the time to visit Napperville Settlement while you are there!
Nothing The room was dirty and very old.
No elevator service for entire stay our room was on 3rd floor
loved my stay, room was nice bathroom was beautiful. the bar in the lobby made some great drinks. room could have had a mini fridge.
I liked that it was quiet there, not a lot of other patrons. Whenever I spoke to staff about an issue they would always want to know my room number. Once they looked me up they would say..."Oh, you reservation is made through Expedia....No that service is not available". This happened on 3 different occasions. Patrons are treated differently depending on how they book their stay. The staff didn't even try to hide that the reason my requests were being denied was because of how I booked my 2 night stay.
Everything was amazing the rooms are gorgeous and extremely affordable will definitely be staying here on future trips
Clean and quiet, well insulated rooms We were able to check in a little early after an overnight flight that left us exhausted. That alone was very much appreciated! We wanted to stay additional nights, but I was told by the front desk that nothing was available. I later inquired with different clerk and was told yes, but at at a much higher rate. I checked online and was guaranteed the same rate I was paying for a room. Apparently they don't like third party bookings! I stayed elsewhere for the additional 5 nights
If you're only going to sleep here it's fine. There are very few amenities and, the bathroom was tiny. The bathroom was tiny and, Route 59 was loud.
The room was nice and clean and the staff was friendly. The room was a little small.
They let me check in very early. I arrived early and exhausted from traveling. They were very accommodating. The room was great as well and love the location. Nothing.
Everthing you need with. Our frills.
Rooms were clean and well appointed. Staff was freindly. Located right off the highway makibg everywhere close. Other guests were quite noisy, but at no fault of the red roof inn.
- Good value - Good housekeeping - Friendly staff - Includes breakfast and wifi - Adequate sized rooms and furnishings - Dated materials and finishes - Breakfast ingredient quality and coffee are subpar - Maintenance of rooms a little lacking (non-working door deadbolt, caulking in bathroom moldy or missing, linens had holes in them, just feels worn and tired)
Nice place to stay. Gave kids a chance to swim. Large variety for breakfast. Beware of the entrapment tactic in the rooms. Didn't realize water was not complimentary until husband already had a bottle. Wondering if the spare pillows cost as well. The bed was hard and pillows were too soft.
Nice location, friendly staff, welcoming lobby, free breakfast. We have stayed at several Country Inn & Suites and this was the first time we have not had an enjoyable experience. The lobby was welcoming, with friendly staff and signature fresh cookies. However, the rooms are in major need of renovations. Our bathroom was horrible. There had been water damage, the door would not close no matter how hard we pushed it (I think because of the damage to the floor and door jamb) so no privacy when using the toilet or showering. The tub itself looked old and the enamel coating on the bottom was chipping. Upon trying to take a shower, I noticed a weird dark spot on the white shower curtain (fabric/cloth type, not plastic/vinyl. After looking closer and calling my husband in, we discovered our worst fear--feces. Beyond disgusted, we politely called the front desk and asked that they send someone up to swap it out with a new clean one. They were prompt and attentive, but did not ask if we wanted to switch rooms or offer any type of consolation for the situation. I wouldn't even expect this type of oversight for an economy/budget motel, let alone a $100+ hotel & suites establishment. My Country Inn experience has been tainted and unfortunately, I do not think we will take the chance spending our money on this chain again.
Staff I called twice to confirm my reservation the night before and to confirm that they had a swimming pool and if THE POOL WAS IN WORKING ORDER. Yes, to both, yet when we got there with the kids the pool was closed due to repairs, had been closed.
Quality of room Staff Breakfast No blankets for pullout
Everything!! It was clean, the staff was friendly, And the food was amazing! N/a
Full breakfast was great (especially the individually-made omelets on weekdays); the room was very comfortable and had lots of storage spaces
Everything about the room No

Great breakfast and nightly reception. Also, the room size was fabulous. I was very happy with the quality as well. Very nice properlty.
The rooms were well laid out and the shower was fantastic! The breakfast had good selection. There was hair under the pillowcase in the spare pillow and no extra blanket. The heat and air really worked well in the living space but didn't affect the bedroom unless you left the bedroom door open, which is annoying with kids.
The hotel was quiet, clean and had everything that I needed. I did like the snacks in the evening a lot. The breakfast food tasted good and there was a nice variety to choose from. Can't think of anything bad. The only thing that could be improved on is the time that breakfast starts. It would be a bit better if it started at 6 am vs 6:30 am. This is just an improvement opportunity and did not factor into my scores above.

The room functionality/design was quite possibly the best I've EVER been at. Tons of desktop space, huge refrig, space in the kitchen, big bathroom, etc. It was either new or at least appeared new. Overall the room was very, very clean. However, there were some ants near the shower. Also, the internet was slow during certain times of the day.
Room very clean and has everything you could need.
Clean, nice staff, efficient
The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was friendly. We brought our dog and I was told there would be a $50 charge for both nights. When I arrived I was told I had to also put down a $100 deposit which would be refunded. I was charged $211.48 in addition to the $50 and I am waiting for a call back. Also they advertise a suana but there isn't one.
Front desk mgr was very friendly and fun. Room was clean, nice comfy bed. All was good.
When I checked in the staff was extremely nice and helpful. The rating for the hotel that I saw was 3 out of 5 stars so I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and beautiful. The complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus. I would definitely stay here again. The bed was a bit hard for my taste but the pillows and blankets made up for it.
Overall the stay was fine except for the loud cleaning staff. When cleaning a room they would allow the door to slam close anytime they would walk in or out. This happened all afternoon by multiple staff in every room. I suggest investing in a doorstop for each person to use to prop open the door of the room they're cleaning so the doors won't need to be open/closed multiple times.
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were in a non smoking floor of the hotel, yet there were several smokers on the floor. We had to pass them every time we went to the elevator.
The hotel was an older Hampton Inn, but it was clean. The TV is on the smaller side, but acceptable. My wife and I checked in and went to the room. It was nice and clean, we watched a little TV and enjoyed the room until it was time for bed. The next morning, the breakfast was mediocre. The bed in our room was horrible. The mattress was old, very thin and not comfortable at all. While my wife tried to sleep in the bed, I couldn't. I ended up sleeping sitting up on the sofa. I have never experienced a bad night in a Hampton Inn like I did in this hotel.
Cleanliness, nice tv, bathroom, bed, refrigerator, etc
Staff members were great Disclaimer: I am a neat freak... but the wipeable surfaces could have been cleaned a little more thoroughly, and the paper materials were all pretty ratty (I know; who cares, right? And I'm all for being green--but it wouldn't cost that many trees to replace them once in a blue moon). More importantly, beds were comfortable and spotless.
Hotel is very clean and staff are very nice and helpful. The breakfast was ample and the serving and eating areas were clean and modern looking. I was especially pleased to see that snacks and toiletries sold in the hotel pantry were reasonably priced, e.g. $1 for a can of Coca Cola. Overall a very nice hotel and good value for the money. The pool and sauna were out of commission, but both are in doors which is especially nice on winter days.
