Pros: Old fashioned beach area hotel recently renovated. Really lovely and family run. Full kitchen including dishwasher. Dining Table, living room with flat screen TV, King master bed two night stands and chest of drawers and another flat screen TV, nice size bathroom with glass enclosed shower, huge closet for clothes, two free beach chairs and a beach umbrella. Tile floors through out makes it feel clean instead of rug full of sand. A real gem !!
Cons: Nothing !!

Pros: This is my 2nd time staying here. Me and my family enjoyed our stay so much last year, that we decided to stay again. Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. We had the poolside room where you can see the beach, palm trees and pool. It was wonderful waking up every morning and sit on the balcony with a cup of coffee and just relax. We will definitely be staying again.
Cons: I don't have anything negative at all to say.
Pros: Beachfront, pools and very close to shopping, restaurants and activities
Cons: Can be expensive
Pros: The property was gorgeous, classically elegant Florida. Low key and no overcrowding! The beach was beautifully maintained and the beAch staff - especially Lane were so nice and attentive!
Cons: Restaurant service was spotty - the food was very good but even with low volume the service was not very attentive. We frequently waited a long time for service, had to ask for silverware, more water, etc.

Pros: Staff were absolutely amazing, thumbs up to the crew. The pool is absolutely beautiful, rooms clean, beach is five seconds from the pool. Highly recommend staying here!!!
Cons: Staff from the pool really rude open more time the pool
Pros: Great time
Pros: Location, great pool, lots of on site food choices, no need to even leave the resort
Cons: The housekeepers would forget to clean the room. Mattress is terrible
Pros: I loved everything about the place
Cons: The only thing I didn't like I was treated to two days at the hotel and it was paid for at checkout I was charged for hotel fee complimentary water a chair on beach that was a bit strange they should include it in the price especially When U check in and they tell you it's complimentry I get a bit cheated

Pros: Private beach
Pool lounging area
Private amenities in spa: pool, sauna, steam
Cons: Poolside restrooms a bit messy during peak family time - Memorial Day
Slow (phone) response sometimes
Pros: Pol area and beach
View of ocean
Cons: Restaurant sea level
Poor help. Dirty. Bad menu
Pros: Beautiful location. Staff were friendly and always willing to go out of there way. Clean and comfortable rooms. Loved pool restaurant. Access to the beach was perfect.
Cons: You can see hotel is showing some age. Hard to listen to people talk about how they paid half your price to be there. Should be more consistent with price.
Pros: Immediately pulling up you know this is going to be a beautiful place to stay! Staff was very nice and knowledgeable. Rooms were great and best of all we were right on the beach! Having Starbucks in the hotel was awesome! I would definitely go back!

Pros: The property was very nice...green and lush...great golf. The hotel staff was very friendly and nice.
Cons: The restaurant/stake house - I think it is a Michael Mina restaurant - the service was horrible...worst I have had for the price point ...and I have dined at a lot of places around the world. I will definitely go back to the resort but I will not eat at the restaurant.
Pros: Great location! Beautiful view of the golf course, especially from the balcony. As the hotel is a little dated, the rooms are gigantic. I would consider coming back in the future.
Cons: Hotel is a bit dated, but well kept. Valet services takes long, so make sure to ask for your car 10/15 min before you need it. Be aware that there is a $12 fee for room service. Very few hotels charge this type of fee, since we are already paying a premium for the food.
Pros: Almost everything. We love this place, everybody is so kind and the landscap is beaultifull.
The breakfeast is superb. The rooms are spacious and very confortable.
Cons: The matress was old and deformed. Need to be replaced urgently. Doesn't macht with the hotel category.

Pros: The staff was very friendly and the pool was great
Cons: The construction work that is going on was woken up at 5am and 6am two days in a row from construction machinery and jackhammering
Cons: Thought the mattresses were not that firm and comfortable. And if you have a king size bed include king size pillows with the bed . The pillows are so worn and small . Didn't like that the outside venue seemed abandoned not as many shops most things were closed while I was there . Was unaware there was construction. And after talking to a shop employee she said it's been torn up outside for so long and nothing has been done with the space . Definitely not the same fun place I visited several years ago. Seems like the outdoor area is getting rundown.
Pros: Beautiful hotel and pool. Great staff
Cons: Got to the hotel late Sunday night. Not much to do at the hotel during the week.
Pros: Our suite was very nice. Really enjoyed the comfort.
Cons: The air smelled like cologne-covering smoke, but it didn't.
Pros: The pool area made you feel like you were far away on an Island resort
Cons: The room lighting, not enough. Felt like it was cloudy outside bcs the rooms were dark. Need better lighting

Cons: I'm surprised there wasn't a pay-toilet! Extra for everything.
Pros: Located on beach near Birch Park. Kayaks, paddle boards, lounge chairs, umbrellas, towels, etc available on beach for guests. Valets, check in folks, & staff in general excellent. Rooms nice with good layout and generally quiet. Maid service okay- did not clean our room one day, even tho gone during mid day for about 3.5 hours- not really a biggie as rooms well supplied except for coffee. Saw young, middle aged, older, and family's with small children- EVERYBODY looked like having a good time.
Cons: Two things- one morning fire alarm system tested for about an hour. Very loud speaker- wonder why cannot check b/t check in/checkout vs mid morning. Maybe fire dept controls and hotel does not have a choice. Other thing is somewhat trivial- hotel has very limited TV channels; missed The Walking Dead:( But wife could watch Oscars on other TV. Having 2 TVs a plus, even tho channel access limited.
Pros: Beautiful ,quaint ,romantic hotel on the beach. Nostalgic luxury. Our new go to vacation Resort!
Cons: Bathroom could use some attention to the grout. Little mold here and there. Overall still an excellent place to stay.
Pros: Our room was spacious and the view was gorgeous! The balcony off our room and on the back of the resort was great. We really enjoyed eating and having a few drinks out there. The resort's beach was very nice and the guys that worked the beach stand were very attentive. All of the staff were very friendly as well. We had a great time!
Cons: The bar closes at 11:30pm, which seemed kind of earlier. We were there at close Saturday night and there was at least 30 people in there still wanting to stay at close.
Pros: I absolutely loves this place. Great location, friendly staff, amazing food. And the beds were xtremely comfortable.
Cons: Parking was a bit expensive. $30/night
Pros: The rooms are a bit dates but beautiful, and the location, staff and amenities more than make up for it!

Cons: need to have breakfast everyday until 10 AM. By 1/2 hour before closing at 9am, for example 8:15 to 8:30 am food was running out!
Cons: Small rooms
Pros: I appreciated the full kitchen and comfortable beds
Cons: The fact that there was no gift shop where you could buy necessaries. Staff did not alert you to the fact that there was somewhere on property that you could buy food or that you could order from restaurants that would deliver. The breakfast was not very good. Where is the real bacon? :)
Pros: Clean and modern. VERY convenient location.
Cons: Breakfast was VERY crowded. No where to sit.

Pros: I like the size of the room, the proximity to the airport and cruise port.
Cons: The fact that its at a dead end street with no view of anything; the pool is small and need to be cleaned; & lack of access to fresh air in the room because the window in my rood cannot be open.
Pros: the rooms were very nice and clean. The bathroom wasthe best! Had a really nice walk in shower and plenty of hot water. The sinks were very luxurious and the pull out mirror was a really nice touch. I didn't use both t.v.'s but nice touch. The king size was bed was comfortable.
Cons: Wish I could of stayed longer.
Pros: The room was very nice and comfortable and nicely decorated. It was a very pleasant experience.
Cons: The closet was hard to access. There should have been a light in the closet. It was hard to see what was inside.
Pros: I found everything I needed. Laundry, detergent, breakfast, etc.
Cons: I liked everything.!!
Pros: Room was superb. Furnishings and decor top notch. In a word: Extraordinary!
Pros: The staff was so efficient and everything ran so smooth without asking.
Cons: Even though the staff was very accommmedating they could have been warmer and friendlier.
Pros: Everything was good
Cons: Is on a location not easy to turn to hotel

Pros: Location near the Broadwalk, walking distance to the beach, bed and couch were somewhat comfortable, small kitchen with plates, glasses, and utensils, full fridge
Cons: You can tell the remodeling work is rushed, outside windows were very dirty, shower heads are crusty and in desperate need of replacing
Pros: It is an inexpensive place near the beach. You probably save at least $50 over the next cheapest place. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Let's face it you get what you pay for. The price was very good and you were a block away from the sand. The facility is old and showing its age. The rooms very cheaply decorated and the bed was awful. Dehumidifiers in the rooms would go a long way to improve the experience.
Pros: Good Place
Pros: I specifically requested a first floor room near the beach due to the fact that I have two very young children and they went above and beyond a provided my family with the cottage room closest to the boardwalk/beach! I absolutely love this property and my mother and I want to spend at least one weekend a month, if not every other month, at this property!
Pros: Beach chairs and towels included. Very clean and bright, fun colors.
Pros: This is a fantastic location for people who want to be steps from the beach. There were a lot of fun shops and restaurants in the area. The hotel itself was very clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. They have beach chairs and towels for guests to use. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: There is a $6 a day charge to park a car.
Pros: I loved the room! Very clean and quiet with a nice modern look. Having the beach and boardwalk so close is a huge bonus. A lot of the shops on the boardwalk were open WAY later than I expected them to be seeing as it was during the week. I will definitely be using this hotel again.
Cons: The only downfall I came across was the late check in procedure. My plane was delayed 2 hours, so by the time I got to the hotel the office was closed. I was a bit uncomfortable with my room key just being in an envelope in a box where anybody could have grabbed it. (I didn't realize that the office closed at 11pm, but that was my fault for not double checking. I had originally scheduled a late check in, but would have been there before 10 so that conversation never came up.)
Pros: the value for the money
everything was nice
Cons: only issue is the tub could have been cleaner
Pros: I liked that the staff was attentive and it was in a great location. Steps away from restaurant's on the board walk or across the street. And of course minutes away from the beach. They provide free beach chairs and towels so that's a plus.
Cons: Minor plumbing issues. Staff was attentive. I would suggest you ask for a 2nd floor room.
Pros: Overall everything was amazing, clean, huge and full equipped room, what's surprised! Close to the beach and very quiet ambient. Pool and bbq are nice too.
Pros: A real throwback facility, but that's part of the charm. Couldn't ask for a better location in terms of proximity to beach, restaurants and saloons.
Pros: Hit anything on beach or boardwalk with in a minutes time
Cons: Staff nice but not eager...son says needs better WiFi
Situated by the ocean, this hotel is within 3 mi (5 km) of Hollywood North Beach Park, Anne Kolb Nature Center, and Dog Beach. West Lake Park is 2.2 mi (3.6 km) away.
Pros: Everything from the service to amenities to the location were excellent for our family with two young children traveling back home from our cruise. The room was immense and clean. The included breakfast was above the standard fare. The ability for us to eat lunch at the hotel was an added bonus.
Pros: Very important that compare to other Hotels, this was top 5 for me! Very Clean, Breakfast was include it and they had everything. Big Rooms, and it was close to anywhere. There was a mall outside that you could get the Trolley all around FTL....
ask for transportation. it's cheaper than a cap
great Hotel, you should go
Cons: If you order room service, you have to go get it yourself.
Cons: Undisclosed additional Parking fee !
Pros: Free airport shuttle, good free breakfast, right next to the cruise port entrance, taxi to pier was only $12 or you can take the hotel shuttle for $7 per person. Faster and cheaper to use a taxi for 2 or more people. Rooms are large and good quality.
Cons: Expensive at some times of the year. Got it for $84 the last week of August but going again in January and the same room is $280!
Pros: Friendly staff. When I locked my keys in my car, they worked successfully to help me retrieve them.

Pros: The lobby and pool areas were very nice but the rooms were tired and in poor repair
Cons: He first room had bugs in the restroom so they moved us to a second room. The second room had hair on the sheets. Both rooms needed several items that needed some freshening up. Deep cleaning, touch up paint and general maintainace. The heating and cooling is a problem as well, don't know what can be done but it didn't keep the room very comfortable
Pros: Great pool area and room is very nice
Cons: A little expensive. Paid $ 292 on kayak and hotel was offering room for $ 190.

The coffee shop/café is the perfect spot for a bite to eat, and after having fun at the outdoor pool, you can unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge. Cons: The service specially for the breakfast was very poor
Cons: EVERYTHING. I would not stay here, they are not accomodating, the staff is rude and inconsiderate. There sheets were terrible, and the room was dirty.
Pros: The staff is friendly and accumulating. Easy access to beach front. Updated lobby and rooms. Near liquor store.
Cons: Don't worth the $200+ a night rate I paid. It looks and feels like an old Holiday Inn that was renovated. The view from the rooms of the beach is only a half view as the building is blocking the rest. The carpet was stained. The shower had mold on the grout and caulked in areas. The A/C only kicked on when it wanted to. The pool is the size of an above-ground pool. I paid the rate because the reviews and pictures looked appeasing but it turned out to be a front. Also, it is not an adult only hotel; many, many families present and being very loud and obnoxious. 2-star rating. Only stay here if you find a rate for under $100 a night. Very, very disappointed.
Pros: This was a great place to stay. It was very nice and looked more modern than
most of the hotels on the strip.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Most rooms had a beautiful view of the ocean! The higher your room the better.
Beds were very comfy.
Keurig coffee maker, refrigerator, ice bucket, 4 glasses, safe, hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner/bath gel
dispenser in shower, iron/board, mirrors on the closet doors, 2 bottles of water daily
They also offered 2 welcome drinks from the bar upon arrival, free beach towels and 2 free beach chairs
The location of this hotel was good for us. It is located at the corner of A1A and
The beach was right across the street and this section of the beach wasn't as
We did not need to rent a car. There was plenty of things within a block
surrounding the hotel.
There was a Thai sushi place, 24hr pizza place, Mediterranean/Vegan spot,
deli/sandwich shop, ice cream, popcorn, Subway, 7 Eleven.
There were also several souvenir shops, a pub and a couple of other small
We rented a scooter from Fun Rentals right behind the hotel so we could explore
a little further. Great transportation without paying for valet parking.
We also used the beach shuttle ($3/person).
Other transportation options include Trolley ($1/ride), City bus (bus stop right out
front), cab, Uber, bike rentals.
The nightlife is about a mile south of the hotel (30 min walk) on A1A.
The Galleria mall was about 1/2 mile west on Sunrise blvd...not far at all.
Overall this was a great place and we would stay here again.
Cons: The pool was sort of small though.
I would have liked a microwave as well though.
Restaurant in hotel was kind of expensive so we never ate there.
Pros: Great view, location - nice rooms. Bed was way too comfortable!
Pros: The personal are professional and very polite.
Pros: The woman at the front counter was extremely helpful and friendly. She immediately saw our daughter who is two and offered to have us a crib sent up immediately. Hotel restaurant server was also excellent. Gave us great service and the food was great.
Cons: Seemed a little too "uppity" for our family. It always seemed as if someone was looking for a tip. My husband went down to get a luggage cart to take our bags downstairs and the guy wouldn't let him have the cart. Said it was a "liability". I've been to a lot of hotels and always used my own luggage cart. It's not a liability for heavens sake. It just means someone won't get a tip. Also the bed was not very comfortable but that's just a personal opinion. It could be very comfortable to someone else.
Pros: Very comfortable bed. Rooms are nice. Location to beach is great.
Cons: Parking cost is $30/night. You can hear every sound through the door.
Pros: Room and view was wonderful! Staff was helpful, and the pool was relaxing. Loved the love music at the pool.
Cons: Breakfast at the hotel resturant cost us a pretty penny.
Pros: Friendly staff,clean,close to beach.
Cons: Nothing negative
Pros: Great location. Great last minute deal thru Kayak. I will definitely stay again.
Cons: My room was RIGHT BY THE ELEVATOR... bad move. You hear everythjbg coming in and out. Also, the chef... Well, let's just say the meal I had wSnt great. Actually, it wasn't good either.
With an ideal location overlooking the golden sands of 7-mile-long Fort Lauderdale Beach, the new Sonesta Fort Lauderdale helps you soak in southern Florida
Cons: Poor Customer Service
45 min line just to check into your room
I understand it was Memorial Day weekend, but over staff and prepare for large crowds. We were a wedding and booked 95 rooms they did nothing to accommodate us. Trash was left in hallways for 2+ days Front desk wouldn't give us enough wrist bands for pool. I was overall shocked, very poor hospitality!
Pros: I stayed at this property 3 years ago. Then the hotel was a bit ragged and showing its age. Since Hilton has taken over they've done an amazing job fixing the hotel.
Cons: It's pricey but I was on an expense account
Pros: Being on the beach was amazing and the faculties for the event was one of the best I have ever seen
Cons: The balconies were all closed off, the staff were rude and argued with you, no place to get food during the day.
This please looks like a high end resort but has the amanties of a best western
Pros: Location of the hotel is great, beautiful pool and patio,
Great staff overall.
Cons: The hotel is under heavy construction switching from Westin to Hilton
So if you like the sound of pile drivers at 6h00am every morning....
Nothing was told or specified when we made our reservation that the hotel was a construction site!!! Not professional at all!
Pros: The location and beach access. Hotel was beautiful and comfortable. Construction didn't take away from beauty of hotel.
Cons: The resort fees. Just include in price up front.

Pros: Excellent location, very nice pools and grounds, nice bathroom and comfortable beds, good TV selection, wonderful beach.
Cons: Part of the hotel is under renovation and we could not go outside to our balcony. They were all locked and dirty from the reconstruction.
We have stayed here about 5 yrs ago and everything was perfect. Everything is still very well kept ,but the hotel is starting to show signs of wear. So, the renovation is on time. Finish date is Fall 2016.
I can't wait to see it. We will be back. Hotel very crowded and busy this holiday weekend.
Pros: THE beach, the room, the lobby
Cons: I was charged for everything! Even charged for receiving a delivery package. At the end, it ended up being a very expensive hotel.
Pros: Nice people and when things weren't right they made it right.
Pros: Love the pool and the view of the beach! Everything was clean!
Cons: Couldn't take food outside to the pool or a cooler. Security guards were annoying on that.

Cons: Elevators were sooo slow. Everyone who got in the elevator with us made a comment about it. But they worked! And it's on a very busy street making it hard to walk to across to shops.
Cons: Unfriendly staff gave wrong directions to hotel
Pros: The breakfast is good. Fresh air coming in off the bay is cool and nice
Cons: The carpet is tired and dirty. In hallways and especially room 327.
