Hertz customer service in Sanford downgraded my vehicle, Hertz Corp customer service was completely lost trying to help resolve the issue, and Hertz charged an additional $76 upon return with no indication why. Gas was 100%, car returned on time to the location stated, and no tolls or other charges used. When I demanded an invoice of charges, they kept providing the same one with the $29 fee and $200 hold.Reviewed Apr 21 2026

The line situation at pick up very confusing. Not sure was working for what car company. People renting and returning cars would go into dollar line and get waited on long before those of us who waited patiently in the correct line.Reviewed Aug 25 2024

Everything about the car, pick-up and drop off was great. But I was frustrated because I wanted to find out if I there was after-hours drop off, but there was no way to reach hertz by phone and actually talk to a human. I called at least 20 times. In the end I had to call the road-size emergency number to actually talk to someone and they were able to help me out.Reviewed Mar 25 2024

I needed to change my reservation to a different day, but when I called the Hertz reservation desk at Sanford, she told me that I needed to call the 3rd party who I booked it with, which was Kayak, but your website says I need to make any changes with the car rental company. I would of been willing to pay extra money to make the change! But, instead I had to eat the $160 I paid you and book another car with a different rental company. Needless to say, I will never use Kayak ever again!Reviewed Dec 13 2021
