Horrible check-in with 75 minute wait while holding a confirmation obtained online. Long distance to find the car. The car smelled like body odor. When I returned it, they claimed there was damage and pointed to a scuff in the paint that was there when I picked it up. I had always been told by rental agencies that they don't care about scuffs so I did not report it. I assumed they had recent photos on file but they did not. They are processing it and will contact me later so I do not know if they plan to charge me. Won't be using them again.Reviewed Apr 12 2025

Stood in a short line for 2 hours to pick up vehicle. Counter workers have bad attitudes and need to hurry up and move with a purpose. I know the job probably sucks, but either work hard or find employment elsewhere. It's embarrassing.Reviewed Feb 16 2025

I liked the Tesla 3 rental. The pickup and return was good. People were helpful and professional. It was not vacuumed inside real well. My overall poor rating to due to the add-on fees after the return. I understand the TAX add on costs, however the add on concession recovery fee's, license fees, and facility charges were not known upfront when I choose this rental. The total add on fees equaled 62% of the rental cost and was $90 more than I was expecting. I likely will avoid Hertz rentals in the future. ........Ross D BallardReviewed Feb 12 2025

Hertz or Kayak tricked me during the search and reservation process of the car. I selected “automatic” car and I am 100% sure I did NOT select “electric vehicle “, yet that’s what I was booked for upon arrival. But I did not want an electric car and so was put on the spot to rent a regular car , which naturally cost me more than 100$ more. I will never user Kayak or Hertz again. I had a terrible experience renting from Hertz at Orlando airport. The staff misled me about insurance coverage, claiming I had collision coverage when I didn’t. The car was in poor condition—damaged, with malfunctioning electronics and low tire pressure. After being rear-ended, Hertz provided no assistance, forcing me to waste a full vacation day resolving the issue. Employees were unhelpful and dismissive, showing no empathy or effort to resolve their mistakes. I ended up switching to National for the remainder of my trip.
