Did not get rental car because when I went to pick it up, I was told I would be charged double the price stated on Kayak because this location does not allow after hours drop off and would be required to keep it until Monday at my expense. The Hertz agent blamed Kayak.Reviewed Nov 12 2023

The Tuscaloosa, AL location is based solely on customer returns, meaning if other people don’t return their vehicle on time there is not one available for you. This happened to me and multiple other customers before the holidays, and I ended up unable to go on my vacation because despite a reservation I was never given a car. I’m still in a financial battle with Hertz to get my money back. They only have an unhelpful website, and claim a 5% fee to talk to an actual human being on the phone.
