Pros:The staff was pleasant... the rental process was fast
Pros:It was extremely easy to rent and pick up this vehicle. Friendly service.
Cons:Oh the other hand, the car smelled strange the whole time I had it. And Hertz wasn’t open on Sunday, so I could not drop the car off on my desired day. (Maybe a Key drop off box would be nice).
Wish the Hertz in Estero had Sunday drop off so we didn’t have to drive the 30 minutes to the airport. Even if they just had a 1-2 hour window for drop off on Sunday.
Customer service, car cleanliness
After reading all the terrible reviews I was skeptical of a smooth experience, but it went off without a hitch. Pleasantly surprised.

Cons:Car had extremely strong smell of cigarette smoke. Car was not washed on the outside, windows were caked with a substance on the inside which I discovered was a yellow nicotine when I washed the inside windshield. The Ford Focus is a horrible car. The sighlines throughout are incredibly bad, making it very difficult to switch lanes. The engine power and speed were abysmal, and the back seat room was non-existent. As I chose a small car, I was prepared for tight conditions and a car with less power. However, this particular car didn't come close to fitting the bill. Secondly, during the height of tourist season in Florida, the off-airport site from which I rented in Sarasota Florida didn't open until 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. That's too late and doesn't provide customers with enough time to catch an early flight. I was able to return my car earlier only because a few employees had arrived at 8:00 to wash and prepare cars for that day's business. Too bad they didn't do that on the Tuesday morning when I rented mine.
