Cons:Took my cat on my trip. They told me they have a no pet policy after I returned the car and wanted me to pay extra for clean up. I cleaned the car and they did not charge me extra. They also mentioned they have a no smoking policy. There are no no smoking stickers in the car (I don't smoke, just an observation). I looked through the contract. It does state no smoking but I did not see anything about pets. I normally return a car fairly clean so I probably should have cleaned the cat hair in the car in the first place to be honest.
Cons:I had to ask if they allowed smoking, then was told if anyone smoked it would be a 300 dollar charge. I then asked if there would be any other charges to my card and Steve said no. I checked my card a few minutes after I left to find a 200 dollar charge had been made to the card. I returned and then was told they charged a 200 security deposit. Steve was actually kind of snide with me about the situation. The other gentleman, I believe his name was Mark was a lot more personable and helpful. When we returned the car Mark was who helped us and di a very good job.
Cons:I had a reservation for a truck and they sold it overnight and told me the next morning when I came to pick it up that they sold it and had nothing else to fill my reservation. Almost cost me my vacation. Thank you budget for getting me in a vehicle so fast and cheaper!
Cons:Never got my rental after 3 hours of waiting. Very disappointed I didn't get to go on my trip to see my family.
Pros:Pick up and drop off was simple and efficient, customer service was excellent.
Cons:Three hours from home, the car got a flat tire. Pulled over, and discovered there wasn't a spare tire in the car. Had to wait two hours for a tow truck due to where I was. The tow truck then drove me and the car the rest of the way in. I'm glad that Hertz was able to arrange a tow truck that same day, but I am very concerned that there wasn't a spare tire in the car. Hate to think of what would've happened if I had gotten a flat earlier in my journey, somewhere with no cell phone signal and long distances between towns.
Pros:When I got the full sized car it was as expected.
Cons:Corporate head overbooked. They did not have our car. They did not have any cars. They could not upgrade there was nothing nearby period we finally settled for a lesser car for eight hours. In attempt to get the right car I was hung up on four times spent 4 hours on the phone. I was told that I would get a hundred dollars back. I returned the car 7 days ago. I've spoken with the manager twice. I still have not been reimbursed. I still have not gotten my extra day I paid back either. Their customer service is atrocious. I was even in the process of Facebook messaging about the situation I was in and they stopped responding. I I will never rent from this company again period I hope that I will be reimbursed for part of the inconvenience them making us late for our trip. Making us ride in a smaller car than we paid for. Making me drive around st. Louis looking for another rental car and then them having no clue what I was talking about when I got to Hertz at 10:30 at night. All of this while on vacation taking extra 4 hours of my time just to get what I was supposed to be given in the first place period and they have still not made this right
Cons:The worst customer service i have ever experienced
Pros:I was not happy at all! I cancelled the rental more than 24 hrs prior to pickup and lost $50. I will NEVER consider hertz for a future rental.
