I love the fuel payment option. Super competitive with prices around. I paid $40 for the full tank at $2.88/g and most places when I was driving around was over $3/g and I didn't even have to fill it up before I returned it! Super awesome option when you have an infant and an early morning drop off

KAYAK’s top tips for renting a car in Wichita
A rental car is the most comfortable and cost-effective way of exploring not only the city of Wichita, but also the surrounding state of Kansas. Associate in Wichita was very helpful and personable. Car could have been a little cleaner especially the windows and mirrors. We had to change the location of the return but the gentleman on the phone made it so easy and the associate at Mesa Gateway airport was terrific.

My initial pick up was late, but was made better by help from Meredith Castorena. Thanks!
They abandoned their spot at the airport when I was supposed to pick up a car. I then had to spend extra from another competitor and got a smaller vehicle, which was not adequate for our needs

Great car, great price. Easy drop off, remember to have a pen if you're doing after hours drop off to fill out your return slip because there isn't anything there to write with

Policies are antiquated. Total rip off. You have to prepay then they pretend you still owe so much more money.

Their online check-in system is badly broken; took about 20 tries before it worked, including some attempts that took 10+ minutes of wait (which failed). The vehicles reeked of cigarette smoke (if was nauseating) but I was not warned at all that the vehicle was a smoking vehicle. Again and I again I find my experience with Hertz just frustrating overall. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Never had the rental. There was no one at the counter to give me the car that I had already paid for. Hertz took my money and abandoned me.
I made a reservation through your site but there were no cars when I got there. I was stranded at their office and ended up having to fly home. You should never have made the reservation if there were no guaranteed cars

I have used Avis and even had a previous high level on their loyalty program. With that said the Chevy Blazer I rented in Witchita Ks to Arlington Tx was sub par. The car was dirty and a plain basic vehicle. I won’t rent another one. On the flip side my experience with Avis team was exceptional. I will also say that my rental from Maine to Washington DC was outstanding, the car and people were great.

Car was dirty Avis customer service gave misleading advice on the phone
When I showed up they said they didn’t have any cars and that they would cancel my reservation. Then another customer walked up without a reservation and they proceeded to rent them a car. My reservation through kayak meant nothing.
