Cons:The drop off location we were sent to was closed when we arrived on time for our drop off time. A sign on the door notified that it was not normally open to the drop off time that was scheduled through kayak.
Cons:Rental agreement via Kayak didn't include $20 facility fee. Would have been cheaper to go with another brand direct through the rental website. Forgot an earpod case in the car. $33 to ship it back to me.
Pros:Good price. Very friendly man at counter. Clean car
Cons:Trunk got stuck once. Key gob didn't work I needed to use button in car
The customer service agent at the kiosk in the Pittsburgh was very rude and condescending. She would not explain all the charges when asked. She made it sound like we’d done something wrong and would be charged extra for declining the extra insurance coverage. It definitely left a nasty taste in our mouth.
Pros:Although the price of the rental was very reasonable, and they did deliver what I rented, they took all of my paperwork from me when I dropped of the car. So when they charged my credit card more than what the receipt said I would be charged, I didn't have proof to dispute the overage. I now see that this is the norm from Hertz.
Pros:Hertz Staff was A++
Cons:Pitt is the only airport I've been to where Hertz gold still required going to the counter and waiting in line to pick up your car. Also, there is no gas station on the airport exit before the rental car turn in, and once you turn in, they will not let you leave to refuel the car, insisting you pay their absurd markup on fuel charges. Overall, the worst rental car experience I've ever had, would strongly advise against Pittsburgh in general or this Hertz location.
Pros:In the morning at pick up, Chris was helpful. He let me know that I could bring my car back a bit later than original time since I rented it for the day. The front door said open 8-530pm but Chris said 5pm and probably a bit beyond that time for closing, since things had changed a bit. I got stuck in unexpected traffic and my ETA was one minute after 5pm. I called at 430 pm and let the guy (no name) I was hoping to be there before five but it could be 501pm. He said they would not be there. I said I really hope you are because he told me that there was no drop box and I was leaving in the morning before they opened. I arrived at 501pm and the door was locked the gate to the rental lot was closed but not locked and no one came to the door. There was now a letter on the front door that was not there in the morning at pick up that said counter hours 8-4pm. So I called Hertz and the customer service agent told me to drop it at the airport. Wow. 1 minute delayed cost me 90 minutes of additional time and drive. Thank you to the hertz guy at the airport. Wonderful.
Pros:Was a very quick and easy process. I reserved my car a month in advance and when I went there it was ready for me. I was charged the exact price that I was quoted.
Pros:The staff was helpful. The rental location and my car were clean. COVID safety protocols were in place.
Cons:The rental location was rather small and the cars are tightly packed into the small lot which made it difficult to leave and enter the lot.
