Comfortable bed. HBO. Quiet.
Access to airport was key and room was sized for my quick stay shower head was poor
Friendly staff. Clean rooms. 2 minutes from airport. No complaints
For the money, this was an excellent value. The room was very clean and staff was pleasant. Although the breakfast was a little on the skimpy side, I didn't mind one bit as I only paid $67 for the room including tax.
Over priced! No refrigerator in the room, or ice maker on the second floor. Spartan but clean
Location The next morning after check out the three of us had a rash on our face. It could've been the detergent they used to wash sheets but other than that the stay was okay. Sink was clogged but staff quickly came to resolve problem.
The room was very clean and the staff was friendly. The hotel was close to the airport. Check-in was quick and easy and I was offered a complimentary bottle of water. Upon leaving I was offered a shuttle to the airport. There is an issue with the doors in this hotel. When someone lets their door close, it slams behind them. I was there about 8 hours and must've heard 100 doors slam. It was impossible to sleep over the noise. I even turned the air conditioner on the setting to run constantly in an attempt to block out the noise but it didn't help much. The juice in the juice (at breakfast) machine was warm and breakfast was overprocessed food. There were no close restaurants. There were no lamps in the room, only harsh, bright overhead lighting.
Location was great, a mile from the airport. The room was clean. Overall very impressed and wish we had our room for more than just one night. The room is small but we are used to that because we live in New York! Pretty sure that is to be expected though. Loved our stay
We stayed a night before our cruise. The hotel offered a free shuttle from and to the airport. It also shuttled us around to a shopping center which included Wal-Mart, shopping centers such as Ross, Old Navy, ect. which was conveniently a mile and a half down the road. The front desk was very helpful, drivers very friendly, and overall a wonderful place to stay. Not to mention the price was awesome! The shuttle also shuttled us to the cruise port for a $16 round trip fee. Which was much cheaper than a taxi! No complaints at all.
Close to airport and I-95 Breakfast was a disaster, little food like cereal, milk, and juice put out, people grabbing and cutting in line, only a couple of tables to sit at, and about 25 people trying to eat standing up and juggling cereal bowls back to their rooms in the elevator since there were not enough tables. No employees around to help monitor the chaos. Room was very noisy. I woke up several times to ask people in the hall to please be quiet. Upon arrival, I signed a promise not to smoke or bring a pet, but there was a dog barking all night in the room across the hall, and the family next door had their TV blasting all night, followed by slamming doors. Our bathroom had a smoke odor coming in the bathroom vent, so I think there were smokers in the other side of our room. Seemed more like a temporary residence, with no enforcement of rules.
Bed was uncomfortable
Almost nothing. There is a Waffle House in walking distance. No check in early unless you want to pay $25 extra. Even if they have a clean room waiting for you, no check in early. My son and I got there at 1pm, no check in early. We slept on their couch until they let get our room. Would not recommend. Only reason I'm back is because I had already paid for the room along with my cruise. Too bad staff can only do what Mgr says. Makes no sense to have room ready sitting empty. I understand if they had housekeeping to clean a room for you, but I was told by the staff my room was already cleaned, but I couldn't get in until 3pm. They weren't kidding.
I HAD TO RE CLEAN MY BATHROOM AND THE AIR DID NOT WORK PROPERLY. I did not go to the front desk because for me it was OK. Not a fan of the air. But it was a hot night. The fan served its purpose
Location was very close to where I needed to be. The room was the smallest I have ever seen. The bed was full size instead of Queen. No closet in the room. It was a shelf in the wall with no hangers on it. Towels were filthy. Wanted to check in at 2:25 when I arrived in town, but was told there is a $25 early checking fee for anytime before 3pm. Asked for a larger room and said it was an additional fee for changing rooms.
Clean room friendly service
I love the staff very professional and helpful....room weas clean but small The hotel was packed no where to park the cars was everywhere but other than that ill most defently be back
Big comfortable bedroom hot showers
Waffle house in walking distance. I've already reviewed this hotel on my last stay. I'll just repeat that if you want to check in at 2:59pm, be ready to pay $25 early check in fee. Check in is at 3pm, not a second earlier.
Plenty of outlets, very comfortable bed, very clean bathroom facilities, Needed another pillow or 2, 2 person/single bed with only 3 pillows, air conditioning was 3' away from bed
Overall it was a bad hotel. They are renovating and I'm sure more improvements will come. The staff were really good. Many restaurants are only a few miles away. As well as shopping. For the money you pay the value is good. The room was small but you are there to sleep. Slight musty smell in the room but it went away after running the air conditioning.
I didn't like anything! The extremely small rooms!
Room was very clean. Close to airport, we just needed to catch an early flight out the next morning, so it worked for us. Rate was okay for what it was, it definitely should not be more. Room was very very tiny. Towels were threadbare, they need to be thrown out and replaced.
Beautiful and quality facility, receptionist was wonderful
i like that they take you to the shopping center and airport free and the breakfast was good and the rooms were very clean i thought that i would be paying 123 dollars for two nights but when i got their i was charged 178 dollars. each day i had to pay 9 dollars tax and 20 dollars per day hold. i got the 20 dollars per day back but i think they should tell you that when you book the room so you can be prepaired for the extra charges on your card.
It served its purpose but there was nothing special about it. Breakfast was mediocre. Staff wasn't very knowledgeable and couldn't answer questions regarding transportation to the cruise port despite 90% of the people staying there were going on the cruise.
Location was the best part of the hotel. It's located near lots of shopping and dining options. Security and cleanliness also rank very high on the list. Needed a tad bit more parking. The nights we stayed, the hotel was booked up because of a music festival in town so we had a hard time finding a parking spot when we got home from the concerts.
location is perfect for early morning flight Decor is pleasant Roaches in the tub drain and the A/C made loud noises at 4 AM waking us up. Desk clerk told us renovation is just beginning, starting on our floor.
Staff was friendly and rooms were nice and clean.
Wasn't as clean as we would like. I wouldn't rate this a 4 star hotel. Breakfast and staff were great. That would be the only reason to stay here again. Older then expected, small bathroom, loud AC unit, noisy area, broken pack n play and wasn't in our room like we asked.
Staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean.
Dirty wash cloth hanging in shower Empty food containers under bed skirt
I love how this place covers everything for you in an affordable way. It's location isn't great - through no fault of its own - but they make up for it with in house food, shuttles and more. I would definitely recommend it! Can't forget the staff either, they've been super friendly and kind. When we got off our cruise several hours early they let us check in early and ensured we were comfortable. The food here is also really good, so overall a wonderful stay. There's no sidewalks in the area really, so if you travel by shuttle and/or don't have a reliable mode of transportation you may have trouble getting around on foot. Thankfully the Hyatt has you covered with shuttles!
Clean, updated facilities. Staff members at check-in were too busy talking with each other to provide proper customer attention.
My boyfriend and I stayed Sunday night (9/4). The staff was awesome. The room was even better. But the bed. The bed was the best yet. The room we had is kind of separated by a half wall. The couch was comfortable enough for both of us to lounge and watch TV, something we never do in hotels. It was a really nice evening. We both slept like the dead all night which was great and breakfast was awesome. I've never been to Jacksonville but I'd go back for the stay alone.
Me gusta lo cerca que está del aeropuerto No me gusta que estaba en construcción y no estaba notificado solo servía un ascensor el polvo en la habitación era demasiado tuve problemas para que la recepcionista entendiera que había prepagado mi estadía
The room was updated and very clean. I really appreciated the room design with the extra sitting area. The breakfast was beautiful prepared and the cooking staff was sweet and funny.. I was a very late arrival and the front desk lady greeted me and made me feel welcomed and safe That it was booked and I couldn't continued my stay
online ane the pics suggest a hotel that is much nicer, the bed was very uncomfortable, wall paper was already coming up on the walls the room was rather small, didn't like the layout of the room, and the price I thought was way out of proportion to the hotel and location. I would never go back to another aloft hotel.
I have stayed in numerous aloft hotels, this one was by far the poorest in cleanliness. I was uncomfortable walking around my room without shoes on.
With its problems it seems to have done a lot. It's staff is friendly and the food bar remained open during the power outage Last nights there I noticed the ware on the beds head board and than at night I noticed a coackroach. Might be due to the lights auto turning off every minute which as green as it is most pest are nocturnal.
Rooms show obvious wear, and we're not clean. Spots/stains all over tile, cushion head boards scratched up, carpet stained. Sheets seemed clean enough.
The proximity to the airport and price were great. Room was very nice and clean. Staff friendly. And who doesn't like a warm cookie on check in!? The only complaint is the pillows! Might as well not had any at all.
GREAT staff down to the airport drivers! Excellent location, value and comfort. Surprisingly quiet. Very clean especially considering is in midst of a major remodel. Spacious rooms. No sign yet on the hotel and airport signs still say "Clarion Hotel". First time visitors like me might have difficulty.
We stayed here to begin our trip, and then rebooked for our return home. Just needed a place to sleep because of late/ early flights. The rooms were acceptable (and quiet) and the charges were very good. Served our needs.
Bed was nice.
No frills. Under renovations. Good for a place to sleep. Price was right for the stay. Will likely book again for the outbound flight in a week.
Room was clean, Check in was efficient, easy access to and from location.
Great location to restaurants and shopping centers Not the cleanest room I've stayed in
Love the room it was nice and comfortable and very relaxing!! Didn't like that we had to check out so early and we checked in so late
I love the rooms so clean
kids enjoyed the indoor pool. worked well for a quick stay staff very friendly very small bathroom, construction going on
We got there at midnight after 4 hours of driving. Parking was easy. Chech-in was as well. The room was clean, no funky smell, the A/C worked well and had an option to leave the fan running so there was always moving air. Big must have for me to sleep well. Beds were comfy and bathroom was clean and updated. Water pressure was fine although shower head was about chin level for me at 6'2". Worked out in the morning before breakfast. TV didn't work in there but I was there to workout so no worries there. Plenty of dumbells and space to get a good workout in. Breakfast was plentiful and everything we needed before getting back on the road. All in all my wife and I had a great refreshing 10hour pit stop before heading north. no complaints
All of the staff here were very friendly and helpful, especially the evening front desk ladies and the breakfast employees. The food was good and the room was very comfortable. We had the pool to ourselves most of the week and we really enjoyed sitting out by the firepit in the evenings and visiting with family. We will be back.
My family was together for a wedding, and we needed a room large enough to accomodate everyone. The price was reasonable, and the rooms were wonderful. The beds were comfortable, and little extras like feather pillows, a gas log fireplace, and a welcome basket made it more comfortable than most 5-star places I've stayed. The free breakfast buffet and dinners were great, and the staff was so kind and accomodating. They really went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable (and memorable). I would definitely stay here again!
We stay here 4 times a year. Always clean. Staff very accomodating. Breakfast is good.
This hotel is very clean, nice room, great service. When I booked the room the price was better than surrounding hotels.
we stayed here on the way to WDW/orlando. got one of the 2 bedroom units for our group of 5. great property; very friendly staff. we walked next door to longhorn for dinner, which was also quite good. the breakfast the next morning was much better than i expected it would be. we really enjoyed our stay here.
My stay here was an enjoyable experience. I especially liked the complimentary meals: a full hot/cold breakfast and early evening reception (actually dinner) with meat, salads, beer and wine. What a treat! The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean well equipped.
Great and clean hotel to stay in and relatively new. Friendly staff, good hot breakfast in a nice seatin area. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. However, the 'deluxe' bedding didn't quite measure up.
I would go back very soon. The people that work there were very nice and helpful. The women that take care of the breakfast is very polite.
This Residence Inn gave me the most enjoyable stay I have ever experienced in a hotel. The Manager gave us the most accommodated feeling I've ever had in a hotel. Also a special commendation for the hostess who served at the Breakfest Bar. The Room was excellent, the breakfest great, and the grill by the pool special.
It was a bed and hot water for the price nothing extra. I asked the staff for towels towels and toilet paper and said they do not have access to these items. We are 4 adults that needed to take showers. The staff was rude but I'm the pepper that brings everything from home so if in the area and need a quick nap it's ok but don't stay for long.
The staff was friendly. Old and very dirty room
The rooms where overall clean. The hotel was close by a nice strip mall with eating and shopping. It is worth staying at for the price. The room had a slight smell to it when we arrived but it wasn't nothing to complain about. The outside of the hotel could use some serious updating and seem to have some perminent residents. But for what it's worth I would stay here again.
Big room, good price. Toilet kept running. Smoke detector began chirping at 5 am and front desk person told me there was nothing he could do. I had to climb on a chair at 530 and take the battery out. 0945 housekeeping banging on door to inquire if I was staying another night. Smelled horrible outside and so many people hanging out. Like a flop house. Manager apologized but no offer for a free night or any compensation. I will be calling corporate. I will not come back.
Great location right near the airport and no charge for pets. Room was comfortable. There were a bunch a people who seemed to be living at the hotel. They were a bit questionable. Also didn't like that the pool was closed.
Location. Broken down beds Ripped furniture, dirty bathroom, property not taken care of and so many more things that will never bring us back. Motel 6 a step up.
It was very conveinent and clean. I like the free wireless and breakfast. The room was as nice if not better than the high priced Westin I stayed the night before at the San Francisco airport. It was very comfortable. My experience was great and I travel and stay in alot of hotels for my occupation.
Nothing Upon checking in the first room we went to the beds were leaning up against the wall. The second room we went to it smelled musty in mildewy, the fridge where we were putting our daughters medicine was dirty and mold in the shows in the corners. The final room we rested in was also dirty and mold on the shower. I've been staying almost exclusively at Hilton properties for over 20 years. For most of the time I've been a diamond member and this is the worst property that Hilton has put their name on.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Rooms clean and comfortable!
I was lost on my way to the hotel, I called the hotel staff, Mrs. Letecia the hotel manager was so kind and patient to personally direct me to the hotel, otherwise I would have been lost in traffic.
This hotel was very clean inside and out. No dust/mold/unpleasant odors etc. Beds were comfy. I was so surprised at how spacious our room was. I was more of a square shape vs the skinny long rooms with stuff packed in there at most hotels. The breakfast was absolutlet delicious! The first day the had southwestern omlettes that were really good along with all other kinds of breakfast foods. My daughter loved the waffle station where you made your own waffles and they also had fun toppings like whip cream, chocolate and cinnamon syrup. I also want to rave on the staff. Everyone washi friendly. Even the people sweeping up trash we nice and did not seem miserable. Was close to a lot of restaurants and close to the Jacksonville zoo. I would recommend the hotel to others and plan on staying here again on our next trip to Jacksonville No negetivity comments.
quiet room ,most comfortable pillows ever, close proximity to UF Hospital N. and the cordiality of the lady at front desk
The beds were comfortable. Shortly after arriving to our room, another guest entered our room with a different key. Once we had our keys rekeyed we weren't able to enter our room. The only item in our bathroom was a bar of soap. Also, our coffee was lukewarm in the morning. This was the worst experience with Hampton Inn Hotels. I expect better of this usually higher quality chain.
It was very clean and everyone was really nice The breakfast could've had been better
Some of the pictures were extremely deceiving. The breakfast didn't serve any sort of protein our whatsoever. Though most of the staff was very helpful, there was that one who you really needed to do her job and didn't do anything to help.
This hotel is an example of how excellent management and staff determine the excellence of a hotel and the difference between mediocre and outstanding. The managers and the staff were the best I have ever seen .They were very attentive, friendly and professional. When you see the managers running a hotel like the way those two men do,you feel relief knowing that every little thing is gonna be alright.
Value. Good location. Breakfast decent. Room mediocre. Needs updating badly. A lot of noise and people just hanging out. Electronic lock didn't work. Was near the ice maker which ran all night and very noisy people coming and going. Not enough outlets to plug in electronics. The wifi is hideous. So slow. Just dated. It's ok for the money but I've stayed in equally priced hotels with stellar facilities.
Price was OK for an overnight on our way south. Not as clean as I might like. Only 3 small pillows on a king bed.
staff/ owner is alway rude. this was my second time staying there.
We chose the Jacksonville Travelodge for ease in getting to the airport for an early flight and for the ability to have extended stay parking.
Location. The room had bedbugs. I noticed in the morning when I saw them on the pillow and the bed. I did not think I was bitten until a few hours after I left the hotel. I told the front desk when I was checking out and she told maintenance. Nothing else was done. Btw.. I showed pictures to the front desk woman.
My wife and I got quick confirmation and went right in at midnight. Once in, we only needed to be there 5 hours so due to the time, it wasn't worth calling for amenities that should have been there. We got a room that once we opened the door a roach ran across the bed. To make matters worse, When I showered, there were no towels and only a used bar of soap. I had to leave for a 6am flight, so it wasn't worth the effort to call the front desk. I just wanted to get out of there.
Comfy beds. Very nice staff. This is my second stay here. The first time was ok. This room left a lot to be desired. Dusty. Tile in bathroom broken. Toilet broke, but maintenance fixed quickly. I booked a smoking room due to it being on special. I asked for a change to a non smoking and they wanted to charge 5 extra dollars. I could see that over 3/4 of the rooms were vacant in this hotel, so why would it be an issue? I asked for a room in the back where I could have quiet. With 3/4 of the rooms empty, they put me next door to someone?? The wifi is simply terrible too. I think I'll be finding a new hotel to try for my subsequent trips to Jacksonville.
Had to book last minute, rooms were available. Bed \was clean and comfy. Relatively cheap with free breakfast. Much like the Dec 7th traveler, second time staying here. The first time I went through the smoking room debacle. Plenty of empty NS rooms but you had to pay an additional $5 for one. Really? Second time around, I ponied up the $5 ahead of time only to find out the NS room smelled musty (worse than the smoking room). Carpet was very damp, no doubt contributing to the smell. You will not want to take your shoes off. After about 5 mins, your nose will get used to the smell, lol. Water smelled "weird" too but maybe that's a Florida thing? In any case, this will be the last time I stay at the Travelodge in Jax.
It was close to the beach It stinks of mold and mildew. Made me sick.
Room was quite spacious with two queen beds, a sofa and a full sized desk. Location was very close to the airport. Didn't make use of it but there was a free breakfast in the morning as well.
The room exceeded expectations. Parking was horrible. Big trailers were crammed into the tiny lot.
Convenient location for airport travel. Would like to know ahead of time of any renovations being done.
Beds are so comfortable, pillows are awesome! Very good breakfast. Pool was small but clean and well maintained. Large rooms.

Their breakfast had a pretty good variety of things, bisquets and gravy, cereal, waffle maker, cereal. And when room service came in they didn't disturb my things. Huge beds, but possibly the hardest bed I've ever touched. Also, the road the hotel is located on is really weird. IF YOU WANT FAST FOOD, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DONT GET ON THE MAIN ROAD. You'll have to go all the way down to the airport to turn around.
Dehumidifier in the room
comfortable bed, closeness to airport, shuttle service was excellent could hear air conditioner every time it came on
For the price it was a decent hotel, with good amenities, in a good area, close by restaurants. The staff was very nice. Twice I found vomit outside on the walkways that wasn't cleaned up for quite some time and there were men drinking in the pool. I felt uncomfortable taking my son for a swim around that. I'm not a fan of men when they are drunk. I wish there was a no alcohol at the pool policy.
Everything was perfect. I would definitely stay here again. Room was nice and clean. I normally don't eat the complimentary breakfast, so I hoped for restaurant options. Not much to choose from near this hotel. I can't blame the hotel for that.
Considering it was by the airport it was very quiet. Breakfast was really good and the rooms were very comfortable. As I was travelling on this was a great place to rest and adjust to the different time zones before moving on.
I don't know what I liked about Days Inn because I was not able to stay there. They over booked and moved me to a Travl Lodge across the street. I didn't like being told I have a room and given a conformation number and when I arrived I was told they didn't have a room for me and moved me across the street to a Travel Lodge that had a lower rating than the days Inn. The room was not very nice. The receptionist said we give priority to people that book directly with them instead of those that book through someone else. Not by the order of when you registered, which seems the way it should be done. I don't know if it was Days Inn mistake or if it was KAYAK's mistake but usually if a business makes a mistake thay don't usally punish the customer. Who ever made the mistake should have booked us in a nicer hotel and pay the difference. Take a lesson from the airlines.
