The room that was booked had no view to the outside, it had a view looking into the center of the hotel. Very depressing. Not a place I would ever stay again
Rooftop was nice, it is just next to the beach, central. The toilet has a smell in the room i think because of the pipes, we always stayed close the toilet door, a part of the hotel is still is underconstruction, so it is usual to find yourself in a weird place. stuff smiles always, but for a high standart hotel it is not fair that they try to charge customers as soon as possible as they arrive to the hotel, it should be at the end of the stay, i had a problem with the agency, and the stuff tried to charge me 3times to ensure their payment, the high quality hotels dont care about money, they care about customers. But the stuff just wanted payment as soon as possible in this hotel.
Comofortable destinantion close to the airport for next connection, not so far form shopping mall, service level was pretty good.
swimming pool and the spa very good better than outside spa,the spa price also not expensive... location poor.....nothing can shop after nite life......
Near the airport , local shops and restaurants and a good place to relax. None
Cleanliness of the hotel.Very helpful staff team. The location.
Hotel is very close to the airport for an arrival/ departure night and offers simple, clean, 'good value' accommodation and facilities.
Good hotel. Royal Beach club is a good offer, but subject to ''hard sell'' from reception desk. Rooms are OK, not that big. Note: no Kingsize bed room with bath (shower only!).Excellent service. Food is good.
I've heard a lot of positive review about Westin Nusa Dua, and now I know why. From the time you walked in, the staff will make you feel that you are the special guest. They were warm and hospitable. The idea of making the kids also a special guest made this hotel my prime destination for family vacation. The hotel it self was superb: the grand lobby, main pool, the beach, kids pool, kids club, sun loungers and cocoon everywhere, sport facilities etc. The room was good. It has a modern and destinctive design, although the balcony was too small. The buffet breakfast was great. Lots of varied food. The were two downsides I would say for this hotel ie.the depth of the pool. I mean, who wants the pool with more than two meters deep for leisure purpose? The other one was the kids activity program at the kids club. They set different activity in the different day. We were there on Saturday, but my son couldn't get the rock climbing and fishing activity because they were on the other day. Saw a disappointment on his face. Overall, it was really a pleasant stay.
The breakfast buffet was delicious. You name it, it was available. Our room was always nice and clean and the added touch of a dog made out of a towel on our 2nd day was gorgeous! The swim up bar was used nearly every day of our stay and the pool was a lovely, comfortable temperature. The pillows gave us grief,, One was not high enough and two was too high, We both had crook necks. That was the only flaw though. I recommend you take your own if you can.
Good location for shopping in Kuta. Great pool and grounds, plenty of sunbeds. Current renovations of the restaurant meant there was a little building noise during the day
Location, Facilities, Service, Activities, Staff and friendliness of service. In fact, the hotel's review score in booking.com is not fair. As mentioned it has only one review, I hope from the hotel guests putting his own review and I'm sure Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel will take best score in the world.
Very central location, yet still peaceful and away from the hubbub of the street. Great pool. Huge breakfast buffet. Wifi is very intermittent
Excellent facilities, pleasent staff and surroundings and very central location. Excellent breakfast - but could innclude additional selecton of breakfast cereals.
Enjoyable, relaxing, courteous friendly helpful staff, all added up to make a real hastle free holiday.
Central location Very old room, smelly at times
Location is very central, close to the beach,2 min with Vespa and 5 min walking distance.Shopping, restaurants, and night out places are all nearby as well.Very friendly staff, nice modern decoration, large hotel(was impressed, thought it was smaller).Breakfast is also complete, very international.Nice swimming pools, relaxing. We had to stay 3 days in a Suite before we moved into a standard room and there we had just one problem:the bathroom.Suite was large, nice, quiet, but the bathroom had poor light and the bath tub was clogged(we asked to be fixed, but apparently it didnt help whatever they did). The Standard room was better.Had a large shower and the light was good.
The hotel staff were courteous. The breakfast - very oily food and not much choice. A lot of flies and coffee hosue is just in front of main road so very noisy.
Good for surfers not good for families beach club is a joke they have 6 sunbeds!!' Really noisy no soundproofing
Clean, lovely breakfast area and buffet, pool recliners always available, no towels left on chairs for hours so no-one else could use like at some hotels. not met at entrance when first arrived.
The hotel was very clean and well maintained We booked a king bed and on check in were told they didnt have any - no room for compromise
location and atmoshpere No king size bed avaialble although already put my preference.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Intercontinental Bali for my honeymoon. We had a club room and it was worth the extra expense. The service for club guests is taken to another level with the private pool, free non-alcoholic beverages all day, evening cocktails and a number of complimentary meals throughout the day. The quality of the breakfast, afternoon tea and canapes was a bit of a let down given the high standards of everything else at the resort.
Spacious room and meticulously manicured property
The location was excellent if you are on a overnighter in Kuta and want to be close to the shopping We were on the 3rd floor, 6 sets of stairs and no porter to help us get our cases to our room :-(
central location in Kuta, next to the beach (not even 5 min walk), next to restaurants and coffee bars, good facilities, nice and clean rooms, with booking of the executive deluxe category vouchers for SPA and for afternoon tea had been offered, would stay there again during first half an hour after check in hotel staff came 3 times to the room to deliver flowers, welcome letter, and a fruit basket.
the spa breakfast
expensive and appeared to just want to ripped you off, staff response to no in house movies and telephone not working was poor. Room service was poor
My first time at ramayana and will definately stay again. in the centre of kuta but very quite resort. Some of the tourists were painful. I would go to the pool and people would put there towells on the beds and no people around.they would leave there towell there all day but would go off. I had no where to lie down.the pool areas pretty quiet but no where to relax.
Absolute perfect location for shopping and close to airport at the same time. Nice dining/bar area. Spa open early and closed late, which is great. Room need refurbishing, a bit oldish, and don't smell nice and fresh. Also, internet is not free. For the price paid, these elements should be reviewed.
If you like staying in Kuta, this is a nice place, as it isn't located right in the center of Kuta so it isn't too crowded or too noisy. The music by the pool, it is quite difficult to relax...
Excellent location, neat room Rate on the higher side
Very helpful friendly & honest staff
I think the location of the hotel is probably the best point. Services are generally good. Breakfast buffet spread is good and it is different everyday. The hotel is however a little noisy, and very crowded during the time I was there. The hotel areas have lush greenery with trees and bushes - love it. Staff are generally friendly and nice, but the check-out process was a little slow. Something I thought could be improved.
All staffs are GST! Greet, smile and thank you! Best resort in Bali. We booked our stay via kayak and when check in, was told by receptionist that breakfast is not included in my package which have been confirmed by agent kayak. I showed them that my booking is inclusive of breakfast, I then emailed to kayak but no response from them till date. Rimba is really nice, after check in, receptionist called and said that the resort will extend breakfast to us for the our stay in Rimba. The staffs at Rimba ensure that whatever request you have will be fulfilled at their best possible. Not that I can think of..
The hotel is absolutely stunning, with modern, tasteful and luxurious finishes. It is connected by frequent tram to its sister resort (Ayana) and to a private beach. It's a little out of the way from Jimbaran itself, and requires an inexpensive taxi ride to and from town. Food at the resort is good but expensive. The spa is astronomically expensive by Bali standards, although it is in line with Western high end resorts. The Rock Bar at the Ayana (for which Rimba guests get priority access) is a lifelong memory (although VERY expensive). The staff are extremely friendly and willing to help. The beach is beautiful. Location is quite convenient to the airport. In the early morning, it was only about a 10-15 ride. Honestly think it was our one-time bad luck, as opposed to a constant problem, but the air conditioning in our room could not be adjusted, even after we called for technicians to come and "fix" it. The temperature in our room hovered between hockey arena and cold-freezer. Made for poor sleep in an otherwise very comfortable room. Also, despite all the attention, the hotel managed to forget about giving us a promised wake up call. Fortunately, I set my own alarm just in case. But if I hadn't, we would have missed our early morning flight. The beach is very beautiful, but it's not for swimming. There are lots of big waves and big rocks, and the red flag is probably out 99% of the time. All in all, despite the shortcomings, I still believe this to be an outstanding hotel. Well worth the money (and priced much cheaper than many hotels that are likely comparable in quality).
I could relax, read my book, use the gym and swim in the sea at high tide. The quality of food was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. You cannot see the sea from the pool which is a pity, too many sunbeds crammed on the beach/pool, nasty drain smells outside room, breakfast room was hot and too much gamelan music every day, wrong location for families with teenagers who want to be nearer Kuta for shopping, food/drinks were expensive for a family of 6, different prices quoted for taxis into Kuta by the hotel staff.
The overall luxury and comfort relative to the reasonable cost. Musty smell due to high humidity.
The breakfast was amazing. Lot's of choice. The hotel itself was very big and grand. The beach wasn't great.
The kids club was excellent to keep our 2 young daughters during the day. They also had some good water activities in the morning - aerobics and water volleyball. The rooms were expensive for what you got. All the restaurants were not good value for what you paid - overpriced. The beach was dirty and not a good place to relax at. The pool was okay. I will not visit this resort again with those prices. There are better deals elsewhere.
relax and spa shooping
The location and grounds are perfect, with lots of entertainment and choices for food (often preferable, if a little boring, to stay in the hotel and eat rather than risk "Bali belly" on the outside). The staff at the kids club are patient and friendly, and happily occupied our 7 year olds for several hours. Rooms are good, good buffet choice at breakfast. Do the nature cycle ride, and vary your restaurant choice. All good. It can be tempting to stay completely at the hotel as everything is there, but try and travel out.
Hotel has a very nice garden inside. Nice rooms, a truly 5 star hotel for just 115 USD (the hotel rate on the spot was actualy 15 USD cheeper than booking .com's rate). generally, everything is great. Note, that this hotel is especially good for those who wanna enjoy swimming in a calm environment, the real life is in Kuta and you have to pay around 40,000 (private car)-70,000 rupis (blue bird taxi) for one way to get there. Kuta is also closer to all major sites on the island. Bear that in mind!!! The only sad thing - Internet costs 10 USD per day (sounds too much for me). Two times the cleaning staff forgot to replace the dental kit in the barhroom.
The gardens were beautiful. The outlook from the breakfast room was very relaxing. Great size swimmimg pool. On the beach. Freindly staff. The dark brown cieling in out room had a crack in it and a web which was there all week. I Mrs Redman slept with the light on each night. As I was not sure what had made the web and what might be living in the crack.
Melia Bali is a great place to spend holiday with family with young children. The ambience is great. We spent a lot of time around the pool. The staff is excellent. The whole place looks lively and happening Very few options for Veg food. A bit of painting job on the doors and furniture
Hotel staff was very friendly. Rooms are nice and clean. The prices for food and drinks were very overpriced. Entertainement at the pool is nice but not to much to do at nights. Hotel is far from Kuta and no shuttle bus is offered. Only way to reach is by taxi. It is a nice hotel if u are looking for absolute quite and peace. Otherwise it can be boring after few days.
The atmosphere was good. Pool was great Price to high for bali. Had to pay for poor wifi connection
just the landscape and breakfast pictures on website are deceiving. very old.needs massive makeover .full of mosquitoes .doesn’t worth the money.very popular for Russians.
lovely buildings in the style of Balinesian temples are placed in a beautiful tropical garden, wide sandy beach close to the hotel compex with shade and enough sunbeds to relax, romantic sundown and dinner in the fish warungs on the beach.
Fantastic tropical garden, nice Balinese architecture, tranquility & cosiness/ However the ocean was very dirty (full of debris0 compared to nearby stretches of shore at Intercontinental and other hotels
Gives the impresion of abandoned area, everything dirty around, only 3 unbrelas available in pool area the rest were broken and lay aside,I am sure this hotel will close down soon
Beautiful setting just next to the sea. The spaciousness and Balinese design of each lodging surronded by different varieties of trees, shrubs, plants and flowers simply make it seem like a peaceful paradise. All in all, a great place to retreat in serenity and tranquility. The lobby is also very impressive although a bit liveless! Staff do not always observe the "Do Not Disturb" sign - too eager to clean the room?! The internet-charge is much too exorbitant (50,000IRP) in proportion to the fact that it is slow and in a very small room with not enough privacy. Hotel room can do with a bit of facelift.
Right on the busy Jimbaran Beach which is lovely, plenty of good value beach bars very close by. The hotel lacks any atmosphere.
Room is big, nice garden, private beach and swimming pool. No wifi in the room. Not sure whether it's because of the air-con or the wooden furniture, there is very strong scent in the room, too strong to fall asleep, basically I didn't sleep all night long.
Nice, clean rooms, welcoming staff, great buffett breakfast. Expensive food/drinks. Just outside the hotel is a very nice and very cheap restaurant. Also, bottled water and soda cheap outside the hotel
Very good food. Good big pool. During rainy season Jimbaran Beach gets dirty
Nice resort. It is about 20 years old, but they do a good renovation. Beautiful architecture: wonderful reception - nice bedroom. Nice garden and clean beach. Close to the airport. The airport is open 24 h a day! Old air condition. Most people did not use the retaurant. It is expensive in comparison to the restaurants outside on the beach.
Very beautiful territory of hotel, good beach, the good location. Awful rooms and bathrooms! The urgent renovation Is required!
Amadea was in a good location on Jl Oberoi (i.e. eat street). The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and modern. We stayed as a group of four in two twin rooms and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pool is nice and has a bar for cocktails during the day until 6pm, so great for relaxing with friends. Breakfast is served in a restaurant that is linked to the hotel at the entrance, and had all the options you would expect. Overall a very good hotel in a good location in Seminyak (although not close to the beach - 10-15 min walk away). I put in some dry cleaning in to be done by the following evening which I was assured by the staff would be done before we all went out at 6pm but unfortunately it was not. I had planned to wear one of the items but as it was not back in time this was obviously not possible. This was quite disappointing and I ended up having to buy something else to wear. Other than that one small blip it was a great stay.
