We stayed in the b&b 4 nights. The b&b is nice and it's in a quiet area. It has a nice tropical garden. Itisn't on the beach but close to it, 2 blocks (passing the busy street), anyway it was close by car to lahaina , in Maui , the nicer town on the island for dining, shopping, etc. It's also quite close to the beaches of fleming beach park and many others. The b&b is located in a strategic area. The staff/owners arent' so friendly, the son it's very kind and friendly but Bill and Jaime not really. The b&b is full of signs with forbidden things that the guests haven't to do; the a/c is often out of order, the breakfast is poor and it's served only from mon-fri (what kind of b&b is it if on the weekend you haven't breakfast?).
It was affordable and the couple who were on staff were very nice. It was much smaller than I envisioned, and there weren't as many amenities (like easy access to ice) as I had hoped.
The Garden Gate is the perfect spot to spend your time in Maui. When you enter the garden, you feel like you are in a tropical forest, filled with greenery and colorful flowers. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. The managers were so helpful with the planning of our trip. They arranged events for us and gave us helpful tips about the places we wanted to see. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Maui and the Garden Gate. We can't wait to go back.
