The service is great
Nice rooms, helpful staff and delicious food. Wonderful weekend getaway. Great back deck to sit on and enjoy coffee or happy hour. The hotel has several outdoor cats. They use one lovely balcony as a cat space. You couldn't sit out there unless you wanted to be covered in cat fur. There beds and everything were on this deck. I didn't care for this and felt it should be disclosed. Many people have allergies to animals. I will add I never saw the cats in the premises.
Really the only thing I liked about this hotel was its location. In Toccoa there isn't much to choose from except a motel which appears to be pretty shady appearing. Otherwise, there's a nice bed-and-breakfast in town. None of the common areas where air-conditioned. Once you left your room, you were in a moist, hot environment. Even though the carpet appears to have been replaced in the not-too-distant future, there was a musty smell throughout. The room was "non-smoking" but smelled of dank, old smoke. Someone had been smoking in the common areas. The bed was very uncomfortable. This sheets seemed old. Even though we didn't pay much for the room, approximately $86 after taxes, it was still overpriced.
The front desk was very helpful. I got in after 2 am. They had me pre checked in, so I was in bed faster. I slept late the next day and they offered to get me breakfast even after it closed. I noticed them being nice and helpful to all the guests.
Clean room good bed great price
Loved the place overall, awseome staff, quaint but not to small, great location, rooms were nice. Likedthe fact that there a lot of things in walking distance. The beds are on the hard side, and in a wing of non smoking rooms there are two smoking rooms at the end of the hallway which in our case the odor spiiled out of those rooms, so if you are really smoke sensitive specificlally request a room away from the smoking rooms.
Nice people and the room was basic but clean. If you're looking for a place to sleep and a value it's a great choice.
The staff was accommodating despite overall disasters popping up around the property and within their organization. Not a very nice room. Reminded me a of a motel 6. Spa facilities were dated and didn't have that relaxing clean spa smell. Pool was not open due to some extenuating circumstances.
A beautiful setting with it's mountain golf and convenient location to many great nature spots.
The room was large and very clean. Adequate lighting. The sink and vanity were separate from the shower which I prefer. It appeared to have updated furnishings. It was very quiet and off the road enough to not hear much road noise. There were several excellent restaurants close by. We had to stay in a smoking room which we knew that going in but the room was saturated in smoke smell. I had some items set aside next to our things on the dresser that were nowhere near a trash can but one of the cleaning staff threw them away while we were away from the room that day. These items had receipts in them that we needed from the trip.
Easy access. Located in a good place that gave me easy return to the Tallulah Gorge to hike the next morning, the purpose of my trip. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking right in from of room. Access to various restaurants and shopping in the immediate area. Very, very dated, with old fixtures, furniture, bathroom. Window heating unit took a while to get things warmed up, but then the temp overnight in the room was adequate. Functional for an overnight stay on the way to doing something else, but I would not want to stay more than one might here if I didn't have to.
Convenient location, easy in easy out Thin front door, poor locking hardware, dingy drapes in bathroom, No hair dryer
