Hotel Apache at Binion's Gambling Hall in Las Vegas has been a family-owned establishment since 1929. What started as a place for Hoover Dam workers to get away for a little rest and relaxation has now become a Las Vegas spot known for having good food, good whiskey, and good gambling. The hotel is one of the first to have air-conditioning in the Las Vegas area, and it used to be a favorite escape for celebrities like Clark Gable, Lucille Ball, and Humphrey Bogart. The hotel claims to be haunted by some of these illustrious past guests, and it has been explored by ghost hunters and mediums.
The guest rooms are decked out in fun colors like scarlet, gold, and cream. All rooms contain air-conditioning and comfortable furnishings. There are plenty of dining options available onsite including the Top of Binion's Steakhouse, Benny's Smokin' BBQ & Brews, Binion's Cafe, Binion's Deli, Cowgirl Up Cantina, and the Whiskey Licker. The Whiskey Licker is an outdoor bar with 20 patio seats where guests can relax with a specialty drink or an ice cold beer.
The casino portion of the property has a lot to offer. There are table games such as blackjack, craps, roulette, and other specialty games like 3 Card Poker, Let-it-Ride, and Pai Gow. The dealers are beautiful and friendly cowgirls. There are over 800 slots dotting the casino floor including classics like Double Diamonds and new games such as Family Guy and Jurassic Park. However, guests should check out the poker tables because Binion's made the game famous.

As a Carpenter, I found the hotel authentic. It was built in 1932 and slightly modernized but still has that old Vegas feel. Front desk was OUTSTANDING! As far as location, it is RIGHT ON FREMONT. I had no problem in my room with the noise. We flew in from Atlanta on a Friday, got married on Saturday, and my wife had a heart attack Sunday morning so we were stuck in Vegas for 17 days while she recovered and my stay at The Apache made it all that much easier.
The room was very small, bed was small, Nora lot of space. When we checked in they gave us a key to a dirty room with bags on the floor and an unmade bed that stunk.
Pros. I like the clean room excellent!!
Cons. It didn’t have a phone in the room, and the ice machine wasn’t working..it needed more towels
Pros. Loved the old school feel!!
Cons. Next time I will book the suite!! Would’ve liked a larger room.
