Food at Restaurant in Lobby much better than typical hotel Old/Tired facility easily visible beneath/behind the the skin deep cosmetic updates. -Small concierge lounge
1) Good location; attached to the shopping mall 2) Ana the porter was very accomodating/helpful 3) Pool and Spa were warm and clean 1) Heating/AC unit was noisy; blew cold before warming. 2) Reading light above bed was not working (right side) 3) Refrigerator in room was missing (porter brought one). 4) Breakfast was available but not included in price (as booked) 5) WiFi was available but not included in price (as booked)
Pretty much everything.......the front desk was on task for check in(it was Halloween and they were dressed for it and shared the candy); being a single traveler I was given a second floor room which made me very comfortable and did not have to request it. Room was great; clean, comfortable. Special treat: restaurant/bar, Sweet Lorraine's with a very good breakfast buffet. I booked for a great rate and figured I was really in for a cheap night place: wrong. It was nothing but a good feeling from the minute I walked in.
Very clean, great friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were on small side.
My husband and I stayed one night. It seemed pretty clean and the bed was comfortable. Near Dave and Busters and some restaurants. Breakfast at the hotel was better than typical (but it's not included in the price.) The decor is a little dated, and the rooms could use a little more sound proofing. We heard some kids yelling in the hall at one point, but other than that it was quiet. It's supposed to be smoke free, however our hallway smelled like someone was smoking. Luckily, the room did not smell like smoke at all.
Staff very friendly and helpful. If I nee a hotel in the future I wi reserve a room there.
To have the location be so accessible at that price was phenomenal
It was clean Pool did not work and the room was not what I reserved also the price quoted online was not what was charged.
Very clean and very peaceful. In Jacuzzi suite room jacuzzi did not work.could not/would not give me a discount or anything of that nature.
There was a very nice breakfast (included in the cost of the room), an updated exercise room, and my room had a refrigerator and a microwave. The staff was friendly, the hotel was quiet, and the TVs in the room were quite nice. I appeared to be in a handicap-accessible room, which was very spacious. I couldn't get the TV in the exercise room to work. Also, the toilet chain in my room broke so that I had to take the cover off the tank and manually lift the flapper. I told the management about it at 7 am and it wasn't fixed by the time I returned at around 9:30 pm. Neither of these were a big deal, but the latter could have been for someone without rudimentary plumbing knowledge.
Excellent place to stay. Efficient staff and very professional. I received a room in a quieter location of the hotel. I have stayed at this establishment before and will do so again.
Love the atmosphere of the place when you walk in. We arrive while the building was under renovations.
Despite close proximity to airport, it was quiet. Front desk and house keeping staff were courteous and friendly. The onsite restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Had to wait 30 minutes to check in because they did not have my reservation in the system (it was booked using one of those hotel booking sites). It was eventually resolved but not something you want to do at midnight after a long trip. First room had a telephone but no wire connecting it. The TV set did not work. 2nd room had a telephone with a connecting wire but no dial tone. With two queen beds, room was a little tight, could not sit at the desk and another person get by. In both rooms, toilet seats were loose.
Everything about the actual room was nice. We stayed the night in a king size. There was air conditioning, a fridge, and free coffee packets. Overall, I think Comfort Inn is a good name, because we both slept like babies. I wish we were up early enough to eat the breakfast. I'm sure it was good. The staff was nice overall. However, when I checked in, one of the nice ladies at the counter didn't speak English too well. Communication was difficult, but I'm not sure how much control Comfort Inn has over this nitpick. Also, at least for now, there is a lot of construction in the area. So it's hard to imagine what the stay would have been like without it. But neither of us were particularly fond of the prolonged roadwork.
Staff was very friendly and professional. Restaurant was open late and had free room service. Breakfast started early.
approximate to airport, clearn & staff was helpfull lobby was extremely hot and humid, restaurant was ok... food not so great.
View of Overgrown, abandoned hotel across the parking lot and moldy/ musty smelling room.
Staff was excellent, room was clean, restaurant/bar on-site, free breakfast, timely shuttle to the airport. It was exactly what I needed to catch my flight the next morning. Bathroom was a little small and there was no conditioner for my hair, but otherwise my stay was great.
Friendly staff, great atrium, awesome rooms (everything about the suite!), comfortable overall, GREAT value! Just became my go-to place to stay on my regular trips to Detroit. nothing to complain about.
A little outdated and old smoking rooms still had a funny smelll, but renovations are coming soon.
I definitely like the renovations they have done to both the rooms and overall property. It was still undergoing renovations and their was quite a bit of construction noise during the day.
The staff were so nice and the breakfast is the best!
Breakfast They didn't clean our room on Thanksgiving Day for whatever reason. The location of our room was on the west end of the hotel which was next to I-275, a major highway in the Detroit area but actually it was quieter compared to the rooms overlooking the courtyard
The rooms had just been redone so they were nice. Check out is at NOON!!! After paying through kayak.. the staff re charged me, not once but TWICE. getting a refund has been the hardest thing. Its now a week latet and still no refund. The staff seemed very incompitent and rude. I woyldnt stay at this jotel again if it was the last one in michigan. A total let down... customer service is the most important thing and this hotel doesnt have that.
We were at the hotel due to death in our family. The staff was very friendly and helpful in spite of dealing with pressure from a massive electrical outage. The hotel was immaculate and decorated with a pleasing modern color palette. Wish we had stayed longer at the hotel to enjoy the amenities. The Dearborn area is extremely nice...perfect fir a couple getaway.
Clean lobby, friendly staff, pet friendly The pet hair left over on my comforter.
Staff was friendly and the rooms were comfortable. The first day, housekeeping made up our room but did not replace our towels. That would have been fine except that they didn't clean our room at all the second day. I had to remind them in the morning on the second day about the fact that we were out of towels, but by the end of the day, nothing. Not sure what is going on there, but housekeeping is not very consistent.
Room was clean good location Walls were thin
Staff was very kind and helpful. Out of date, dusty and needs new beds.
The staff was friendly, the location was great, it was very quiet, and it was a good price. I didn't want to spend a lot on a place I'd only be crashing at. There was a spider in my room, the linens were scratchy but the comforter was nice, not one of those quilted ones. The pillows on my king bed were all standard sized, which was odd/annoying to me, but they were soft. The continental breakfast was absolutely horrible. The coffee was watered down and the eggs were rubber. Ick. I'm not sure that I'd stay here again.
Very clean and updated. The breakfast was great! N/A
The room was very clean and well-stocked with supplies. The staff was very nice! Nothing
The BED was awful it was very hard and the noise above my room all I heard was stomping all night into the morning. Also I asked for an extend check just until 1pm. I was told I have to wait for a mrg to call back with the approval never heard back!
This hotel was not only very clean, but the furniture was new and updated as well! The young lady that checked us in was such a delight! Later on in the evening my friends car battery died, she was able to find us some jumper cables. No, loved everything!
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Great service. I was able to check in early with my mother (on our way to her high school reunion), and then the airport shuttle in the morning was extremely accommodating and allowed me to see her off, and take a nap before my grandkids arrived in the afternoon. All around perfect!!
Liked the park and fly component. We were taken quickly to the airport early in the morning and picked up promptly on return. All staff were friendly and helpful. Everything was fine.
convenience, breakfast is fine, clean, near rental car lots and expressway access. polite staff. coffee maker and microwave in room. comfortable bed. reasonable price. I always stay there when visiting Michigan. faucets and knobs in tub were loose and almost falling off.
Room is clean
The room was updated, clean, and comfy. Was everything you hope for in a hotel room after a long day of traveling.
Clean and comfortable There was no shampoo & only one pack of regular coffee
Very quiet location. The room was spotless. The evening staff was not very helpful. This did not take away from the overall experience.
Great restaurant and comfy bedding. No bath tub to bathe my child? Very inconvenient.
Comfortable, quiet, accessible to airport Reception. Girl difficult to understand. Nasal tone and way too fast and she was resentful when I asked her to slow down and after that was completely unhelpful.
Airport location Nothing
Very nice for early morning flight. Staff was friendly and helpful.
A heavenly oasis conveniently located Absolutely nothing - it was fabulous!
Big bathroom. Double beds were nice. Room wasn't very clean. Carpet needs an update. Bed was not very comfortable. No mini fridge. Ceiling was stained in multiple areas. Some power outlets didn't work. Could hear the people next to me no matter how loud they were being. Breakfast was not included and if it was, front desk never told me. Reserved only for the reason of a gaming tournament being held here.
kayac change policy stinks. THE LEAD TIME IS EXCESSIVE.I will use a different service next time. The Radisson was fine.
the staff were excellent, professional, and friendly. Check-in was easy and fast as well as check-out. Spacious room and great location with variety of restaurants in walking distance. Fresh coffee available anytime of day. Everything was great.
Clean, Friendly staff. Good location
There was nothing redeemable about this Days Inn except for the fact that they had a room for us to stay in We had called prior to booking ahead about whether cats were allowed in the hotel. (We are moving cross country with our cat). They said yes, so we booked our hotel room with them. When I called the day of our flight to let them know we would be arriving late with our cat (our flight was delayed 5 hours), the woman on the phone yelled at me that the hotel has a no cat policy. However, on the Days Inn website, the hotel is listed as pet-friendly. They made an exception for us but I was surprised at the reaction of the front desk person on the phone.
Great service at front desk. Clean room and nicely renovated. Because construction was going on it did not look very appealing when pulling in for first time. A little noisy at times.
Very comfortable beds and the rooms were pretty clean. It was under construction, the breakfast area was a mess, cold breakfast only, my fiance got sick from an allergic reaction to something in the sheets.
Our room had an air conditioner that didn't work and a leaking ceiling with a full bucket of dirty water under it. The room should have never been rented to anyone. They did move us to another room whe we asked.
The location was great and our room was very clean. The Smoke Detectors on our floor were falling out of the ceiling. The girl that checked us in didn't know the area, and couldn't give us any advise or help on finding a place to go for dinner.
Counter staff were nice, check-in went smooth, and the price was decent. The hotel (which was in the middle of an EXTREMELY messy remodel) literally looked like something out of a war zone. It was hands down the grossest, messiest construction site I have ever seen. There was rubble everywhere, mountains of large chopped down trees piled up outside, paint and stucco every where. It was completely absurd to be running a remodel in an operating hotel that looked like that. The rooms themselves were ok, but many things were out of place, room numbers were taped to the wall beside the doors and it just felt off. I am not usually picky about the 3-4 dozen hotel/motels I stay in each year, but this one was ridiculous.
the flat screen tvs and the beds were nice That not every room had a fridge and microwave
For an early morning flight this is a fine location - return the rental car at night, sleep and shuttle to the airport in the early morning. Functional and Efficient. The restaurant needs an update...
Cheapish Old and grungy feeling to the place
Employees were fantastic. The beds were rock hard. needs some remodeling. its very outdated.
Quick check - in; clean; comfortable Walls are thin - could hear the couple next to us all night; breakfast was mediocre
Good location, room was comfortable. The facility is old and needs renovation, smells old. The wifi in my room on 3rd floor was very poor, I could not connect most of the time. This is very bad for a hotel catering to business travelers. For $200 per night there are many better value hotels.
close to where my family lives The front desk guy asked to make a copy of my drivers license
Look, all I care about is clean sheets/bed, a shower, and a TV. They fit the bill so I was glad. The staff was fine. Yes it is dated and the walls thin, but for the price it was great for us...we didn't care about the extras that others choose to pay more for.
Comfy bed Noisy hallway traffic both nights. Rooms all have doors that slam shut loudly. Cheesy motel heater needed to run all night to maintain 70°f and it was only 34°f overnight.
Location to Detroit airport. Very little outside noise. Could have been because hotel was almost empty. Poor help. Room key did not work had to go back twice. Got stuck outside the hotel and had to walk completely around. AC controls did not function correctly. Unit was flashing low battery. could not use the auto function on the thermostat. So the fan never shut off and it was loud.Bathroom counter was so low it was almost not usable. Pool was under repair. Employees just didn't seem to care. Continental breakfast left a lot to be desired.
A place to sleep. Been to this brand of hotel before and this is not what I expected. Sheets were turned inside out to guessing not washed. Had to slam the door to get it to close. Changed rooms 3 time to make sure I got the king size bed I requested. Rooms had water damage on the ceiling, tv remote was broken along with a the TV which had broken tubes. Maintenance was called but never showed up.
The garden area was beautiful. Comfortable beds, excellent free breakfast with hot oatmeal, waffles, bagels, a toaster and soo much more. Very relaxing, romantic, comfortable, puts you at ease. Free shuttle to rent a car and airport. Rough toilet paper and the towels could have been better quality. Staff not available 24 hours to bring you towels.
This was the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in, I can't believe it showed up at the top of my kayak search. The room supplied minimal toiletries, I waited 45 minutes for the airport shuttle to arrive and then another 25 minutes to drive the mile to the hotel because the shuttle made so many stops.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, nice atmosphere The groups of hockey teams playing hockey in the lobby, running the halls during the night. Parents drinking in lobby and walking and talking halls at night. The hot tub again (second year in a row) was not functioning.
Nice beds Cold pool, paper thin walls, fan didn't work on the register
Front desk and airport shuttle staff was pleasant. Location great. Wyndham Garden lacks commitment to running a quality facility here. Staff was pleasant at desk but facilty lacks attention and it needs a make over. Ugly decor and poor attention to room. My room had dust and crud under bed, bed cover had stains, pillows uncomfortable, TV had only 3 channels with clear picture & no "sleep" feature, dirty water back filled sink during middle of night. The complimentary breakfast & dining area is under a roofed courtyard with pool etc. where the lighting is the same distasteful orange color found in outdoor industrial areas.
Excellent breakfast, spacious room, good parking Nothing
super convenient to spend a night here before flying out of DTW, the shuttle left every 15 mins. my girlfriend and i enjoyed the overall layout of the place, and wished we could've stayed longer to enjoy the complimentary breakfast. would definitely stay here again hardly anything at all.
The public area's were very nice and appealing. Indoor and outdoor pool were both clean. Room was large bathroom was nice. Large bar area (did not use but looked nice). Biggest continental Breakfast I've ever seen. Slow drain in shower was annoying. Iron chained to ironing board rendered the entire board useless. Bed was very hard, uneven and uncomfortable. Breakfast was HUGE but very limited selection of food. It was huge in SIZE not in selection, but still better than the average CONTINENTAL breakfast.
It was a very clean, well kept hotel. But the fire alarm went off at 6:30 am and we stood outside for an hour before being allowed to go back inside. No compensation was given for this major inconvenience.
Very easy check in and check out process. Friendly staff. Loved the decor of the hotel. The room was great and the bed was comfortable.
This was our 3rd stay at this hotel. Hotel experiences typically reflects it's local leadership. Each time we return because the hotel personnel are so courteous and professional. Never experienced an untoward event. Hotel staff. Professional and courteous.
Everything was up st standard
The location was very good. The check in and out was easy. The television remote was not programmed and although the clerk said she would send someone to fix it, he never came.
Staff was very helpful, shuttle was very convenient. The rooms were also clean. For the price I expected a little more, the hotel is an old remodel and it shows as you stroll through on your way to your room.
Horrible buying experience. Was flying to Michigan to bury my mother. Connecting flight was missed due to late departing flight. Called when delay was announced, hotel nor purchasing service was willing and able to transfer reservation to a Clarion in the city we were stranded in or give a refund. Just what I need at such a time.
You must call the shuttle after a certain time to come pick you up, unlike everything on the website which says it runs 24/7 every 15 mins. The front desk lady was also rude.
Poor service. Called five times from airport to arrange shuttle to hotel to pick up car
Clean, comfortable room....hastle free for seniors. easy access to our car for loading luggage. Good continental breakfast. Everything was good.
The value of the price I paid and the cleaniness of the hotel were fantastic
quiet , peaceful
Convenienve to Detroit Metro Airport
Loved the location and low price. The hotel was close. Clean place to stay right by the airport that was a good deal at the last minute. No need to spend more at other spots.
