Received a basic vehicle for £40 a day, and when asked about extending for two days, it went up 1500%, and they wanted for £1,200 for two extra days. Was told by staff, to take vehicle and extended after collected vehicle. When tried to do that, was told can only be done in branch. Basically incompetent staff, blind leading the blind and extremely bad customer service. First and last time using Hertz!

The car was clean and I had no issues with the vehicle.Rekha's behaviour at the counter was unacceptable. She was rude to me and other employees around her. She asked for additional address proof (not sure why since I've never needed more than my license with Hertz). She ran my card for £373 without asking what type of insurance I wanted. She did not tell me about the hidden fees. I expected a bill of £67 + insurance as stated on the Kayak site. When I get there, insurance is £55/day (absolutely insane!), £20 VAT not included in my quote. She was even rude to her own employee denying one of them a coffee break while I was standing at the counter. Overall I enjoyed the car, the dropoff experience but Rekha was downright awful. Would not want to interact with her again.

We rented the car for 9hrs, put 230 miles on it and it cost us over $400 for a Vauxhall Corsa. VERY expensive.

It was a bit slow but not a problem.I don't remember what car I got but, it wasn't what we asked for. It was another "similar" car that they always give a renter.

New car. Lots of features.No one around to explain features of the car. Had to return the car two weeks early due to covid 19. Did not get a partial refund for those two weeks. Was contacted by P.R. person when I gave them a poor review who seemed like he might give me a partial refund but I believe they are now in bankruptcy proceedings so doubt I will see it.

I was charged much more than what I was told in line total. They charge me extra which I never asked for or agreed on. But because it was very late and dark and people are waiting on the quie so, I signed the paper without knowing they have all this extra charges .

The staff did his job. He said he gave me an upgrade, but who needs an upgrade when I was already paying £27 more than the price I was quoted.They forced me to ta their Damage Weaver protection which was more expensive than they rental for the car. The DW is suppose to be optional and not mandatory. I guess they did that because they knew I was coming from the US and I probably had no other choice. I felt cheated and I made up my mind not to use hertz again.

The drop off staff was super nice and friendly. The shuttles worked well. The car was fine.We were grifted by the pick-up representative. Upon arriving from an 11 hour international flight, the guy insisted a vehicle upgrade for an extra £80 (because “rain and safety”) as well as a fuel package (no need to fill up before drop off) for £51.32. Being a tired foreigner who didn’t think to take the time to review the distance, mileage of the original car, or convert the currency, I just said ok. This is on me; I should have made the guy wait while I did the math. But he was rushing me and my partner and I were tired with an addition 2 hour drive ahead of us. I feel angry with myself for letting him do this to me, as it literally more than doubled the cost of the vehicle. The distance we drove didn’t even need one fuel stop, and surely it wouldn’t have cost us £51 to fill up the car. Also, the smaller car would have been fine; the weather wasn’t an issue, and neither were our bags. The guy conned us, ostensibly so he could make a commission, or because hertz encourages that behavior. Pretty unhappy with that.
