Like having a known company. Have rented from other companies where I had to go to some little office well off site. Hertz rental location was easy to find, clean and well staffed. I knew that I could return the car after office hours and find someone there to return the car to. Their choice of car options was also important. Finally they offered a generous mileage allowance - 700 miles for 7 days.

The new car didn't have ANY USB chargers... only USB-C. That was bloody annoying for a new rental car. That ridiculous system for checking how many points you have on your licence is also both unique and antiquated. I know it's not a Hertz specific problem... but FFS!!! The staff member did help in the end and offer an alternative. The car was great and at a good price.

On pick up we found scrapes on the car that weren’t marked on the paperwork so got them to correct it. Agreement was for 100 miles per day this was changed to just 71 miles. Very disappointed. Checking the car back in was very quick and trouble free.

I actually never was able to see the car I rented. After booking the vehicle months out, my travel plans changed and I needed to add one day to the 8 day rental I already had booked. Although I called frequently a month prior to my trip, the UK rental company refused to answer their phone (rang multiple times and then hung up). Speaking with an affiliate in the USA, they directed me to Kayak. Kayak then directed me back to the company. I did this circle a few times. I eventually used a UK based friend to call the car hire company who said they would not change the booking and I instead had to cancel the booking and restart the process. When I investigated this via a partial booking, I quickly determined that the company wanted to charge me over twice the original 8 day cost to add a single day to my booking. At this point I canceled my original booking and decided to go with a more established and reliable car rental company. Having just completed the trip, I can assure you that I made the right choice not using Easirent. Based upon my experiences, Easirent should really consider changing their name.

Easirent was fine. What wasn’t fine is that Kayak and the booking agency they work with don’t include insurance in pricing so the rental ended up 1000 pounds(!) more than expected.

This was the worst checkin and checkout experience I have ever had. The estimated arrival time apparently is used by these guys to justify cancelling a reservation I had made at least two months in advance. When I arrived they informed me that the reservation was gone but they would see if they could arrange something. Let me talk to the manager and make a phone call they told me. And amazingly they found a car for me. And it was outside all along! Of course the charge doubled from the promised rate of $1000 for the rental period to almost $2500. I had arranged additional insurance but that didn’t stop the agent from repeatedly telling me I was responsible for any damage up to £60,000. Anyway, I accepted as there were no reasonable alternatives to this scam and my wife and I drove off. The car was very nice in all fairness and we took excellent care of it. When we returned, a woman was trying to maneuver her car through the parking area and the agent working that day started telling us she had best be careful in case she inflicted any damage on any of their cars! What is it with this company and damage to their rental cars? I parked our car and the first thing out of the guy’s mouth was, “ We seem to have a scratch over here .” It was a very superficial scratch that disappeared when I rubbed my finger on it. After the experience I had already had with them I was less than kind to the agent who was doing the job he was told to do. He should look for a better place to work. This company operates by defrauding people to boost the bottom line. I was promised a rate by Kayak and had to pay over double the amount because I arrived a few hours later than I said. I have never had such an experience with any other car rental company. Don’t deal with Easirent. There’s nothing easi about it.

They made us get extra liability insurance for international. We explained that we have worldwide international and they said we had to have our printed policy with us in England (we are from US). It was expensive. Upon return, I have emailed them TWICE with our policy and requested refund and no reply. We will not use Kayak or Easirent again unless this gets resolved. It really felt scammy.

The directions given to collect the car was 6 years out of date. The named hotel had no connections to the rental company, thankful the hotel staff permitted us to call the phone number, and much appreciated after a long flight the rental company took us to their location.

I reserved online with estimate of $782.00 for an 8 day rental in London Heathrow. When I returned the car, I was charged £967.00. I didn’t agree to insurance except for tire damage. The original estimate supposedly included taxes and other fees but it didn’t include all taxes and fees. Beware.

The staff was very friendly and efficient both at pickup and drop off.When we picked up the car the staff person assisting us did the processing outside at the car. This would be OK in nice weather but it was raining when we picked up. Suggest that the procedure be done as much undercover as possible when weather is bad.

We had to wait 20 minutes for collection but we were a little early and they didn’t open until 7am. Overall collection was straight forward, nice new cars with very little damage. Handing the car back was a simple and straight forward process. Will use again in future.

Pick-up is in a hotel. Shuttle bus takes you two floors down. Then you have to take an elevator up (with all luggage). Long wait (45 minutes). Elevator down to collect the car. Everything together roughly 90 minutes.

Pick up is in dark underground garage at LHR. Staff do not accompany customers to mark paperwork with existing damage to vehicle or help with controls on vehicle. Telephone assistance, very difficult to reach a live person to address concerns after pickup. World wide Sixt computer system was down for over two days and email assistance was delayed. Usual problems communicating with a live person when I was eventually able to talk to someone in English as it was not their first language. Insurance is very expensive at the counter at pickup. Be sure to buy online with rental prior to pickup. Good luck!

Booked car wasn't available upon arrival. They tried to offer me a subcompact SUV, which was too small for the luggage and kids, so finally got an MG ZS SUV with over 18K miles, an occasional misfire, and lacking features compared with the booked car. The cost in GBP also ended up being £50 more than the original quote. Given the current state of the travel industry, I'm not going to argue to get the money back, but I'm not going to recommend Europcar to anyone, either.

The car was adequate. The only downside of the experience was the constant attempts to "up-sell" (larger vehicle, automatic instead of manual, etc.). Check out took longer than it needed to. Other than that, counter help was friendly and courteous.

We were persuaded to upgrade to a bigger car, with concomitant charges. Insurance can be a bit costly and with a more expensive car that aspect weighs heavily. However, various options were provided to us, which were helpful. I would recommend contacting them directly to check on what insurance they take - I had purchased extra from Allianz, which they did not accept, and then I could not get hold of Allianz to cancel. So a complete ripoff. I get the impression that getting you to upgrade is regular practice, so be prepared, but in our case it actually worked out well as we needed a big trunk/boot. Beware wide cars though if you are having to navigate narrow lanes and keep meeting tractors. Practise reversing first! (There is a backup camera.) I thought the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We asked for an orientation to the car as it was a bit different from usual, and Rashid was extremely friendly and helpful. It would be great if there was a small lot where you could try the car first, especially standards. Dropoff was really easy with helpful staff and we caught the (free) Europcar bus to Terminal 2 right away. The driver could not have been more helpful with our three heavy bags and two disabled passengers. I was very grateful for his help - he made my day. Overall the staff gets my highest commendation for taking the time to help, and for their patience. I did not feel pressured.

I regularly use Europcar as they provide good service. Check-in took a bit longer than I am used to, perhaps add 1 more member of staff. Car also smelled a bit 'over-deoderised', had a vague hint of someone smoking in it. Car was not super clean (streaky) on outside and the windows were a bit grubby. Person doing the hand out was very nice, and the car was good.

The price more than doubled at pick up after insurance and extra driver added. Problem with key which we had to fix - they did reimburse a bit for this but was major hassle getting it sorted. Car was okay but smelled of cigarette smoke. The first customer service person was too much of a sales person for my liking and the drop of person was much much better and more professional. Just so expensive to hire a car these days.

Budget changed the reservation from a Premium vehicle to a compact car , with an increase in price without notifying me. When I logged onto the Budget website the reservation had been changed. I was told the rate was no longer available!!! I will not use Budget again!!!!!!!Why was my original reservation changed? They did not want to honor the original ruling entail rate!

Don't use this company in Heathrow if you are in a hurry. Not a dedicated car rental shuttle - they use a hotel shuttle bus which stops at many hotels on the way. Expect to queue for a very long time at the rental location. Hopelessly inefficient. Make sure you understand your insurance options. False economy. Use one of the big names instead.

Although The staff were friendly and the car was good, it took us 1.5 hours to retrieve the car upon arrival, and there were many hidden fees. We had also wanted to drop the car off at a different location, which we were told was impossible because the branches were franchised. The company appears to have great deals, but it ends up working out to about the same price as one of the bigger companies that have better service and options. We also had tire issues and had to replace a tire, and are still waiting to be contacted by the company to be reimbursed through the insurance.

Friendly staff, ok vehicle (the lane correcting system was very annoying), but most annoying was the fact that I couldn’t get a refund when turning in the vehicle about 4 days early. We didn’t realize that staying in London would make having a car extremely expensive, so we decided to turn it in and use the public transportation. It would be really nice if we were reimbursed for the days we haven’t used.

I couldn't get a hold of the company before traveling to make amendments to the booking. I called Kayak and tried to call Ace and the name of the company was something else entirely. Kayak said to visit their kiosk when I got to Heathrow, there was no kiosk at Heathrow. No phone number would connect me to a human and in the end I showed up to pick up the time I wanted to change it to and they were very accommodating. Shame about the runabout in the lead up.

They didn't accept the insurance on my credit card so the car cost a lot more than I had planned for. The car they gave me had worn through the brake pads and you could hear the rotors rubbing when you braked. I was staying 200 miles away from the rental place so was hard to bring the car back for a replacement. I am upset that they provided me with a car, that I drove my children around in, that was not fit for purpose. To add to this the person at the desk when I returned the car was not polite, barely talked and was not too apologetic about the state of the vehicle. Will never use again or recommend to anyone!

The drop off was fast.I had a reservation for a car which the sales staff completely ignored to start a new transaction. They proceeded to ignore pricing to push their insurance plan, and basically wouldn't let you leave until you had purchased it. I literally told them what I thought they were doing was a scam.

There is not a normal car shuttle and the Hopper would not take me to pick up car....you have to 6lb for Hopper. The rental place is impossible to find because it’s not called Ace.

I booked in good faith with Alamo at the London Heathrow airport depot via Kayak, actually made a costly and far too lengthy (waiting on hold to get an agent and representative) telephone call from Canada to Alamo in the UK after the reservation was made and accepted by Alamo, and went over the details regarding my age and the reservation, and was assured there would be no problem with my being 71 years of age as the primary driver and my wife at 70 being the secondary on the rental, both of us with international drivers licenses, because, according to two reps contacted, Alamo had no restrictions on age other than a minimum age. However, when I needed to made a change to the pick up and drop off times for our month long car rental, I was advised that the reservation was not accepted because of my age. When I tried to contact Alamo customer service I was told it was not their department and to try a series of telephone numbers that got me nowhere. Even when I tried to advise Alamo that I wanted the non-existent reservation cancelled, just in case they tried to pull some stunt, I was unable to do that after numerous attempts and telephone calls. To make matters worse, it was so close to our departure date that we were unable to get a reservation at another rental agency for the vehicle required to accommodate my height. In the end I had to settle for a small vehicle that caused me extreme neck pain and resulted in contacting an elite rental company to provide a suitable vehicle at a price I should never have had to pay if Alamo had been upfront and cooperative in the first place. Interestingly, I just returned from a two week trip where I booked through another rental company and had absolutely no issues whatsoever. I feel Alamo has a lot to learn about customer service and business protocol. They not only cost me a lot of money and time, but a great deal of frustration and physical pain. Which, undoubtedly, they could care less about.

I normally dread renting a car at Heathrow but this was a really good experience. The staff met me off the bus so no waiting at all. It was raining so the staff brought my car to the covered area for me to load up. I was checked out and ready to go within a few minutes. The car was clean and comfortable. On returning the car, the staff immediately checked me back in and arranged for the shuttle bus to take me to the airport, even though I was the only person on it. Great service all round.

We has a flat on the side of a high-speed road after picking up the car at Heathrow. We had never driven in Britain. We were passed off to multiple groups (the tire company, the Royal Automobile Club (RAC), a towing service, and, finally, a mobile tire repair company. National's concern was who was going to pay for the tire, and once determined that it was under warranty, we were on our own. Through over NINE HOURS National provided no meaningful support when the solution that took nine hours was immediately available (the mobile tire repair company).

We waited forever for a shuttle bus and when it turned up, it had room for 2 people. There were about 8 people in front of us and 7 in our party with 3 little kids. We'd just got off an 8hr overnight flight and the kids were cranky. The party in front of us let us go before them on the 3rd shuttle to show up, but that could only fit 3 people. It took forever to get our whole group to the actual Avis location, over several shuttle busses. The desk was really busy and my pre-booking took forever to process. Not the slickest operation, but the car was new & clean and ready for us. Price was ok, vehicle great, process poor.

I will never use Avis again - ever. In Jan 2019 I booked a car for pick up at LHR Dec 16, making the mistake that my flight out of SFO was actually getting into LHR Dec 17. Had I picked up the car Dec 16, I would have been paying $460 for my rental period. With zero flexibility they wanted me to now pay £2000 for the same rental package (1 day less in fact). After a long haul flight with 4 biggish bags - which the Avis shuttle driver gave no help with - I had to go back to T2 and get a car from National for £600. Same size as my original Avis booking, help with baggage into and off of bus and even into my car! Enterprise rocks. Avis sucks big time.

I made the mistake of not bringing my passport to the rental counter. Although not explicitly stated anywhere in the terms and conditions, a passport for foreign tourists is required to rent a car from Avis Heathrow. A driver's license is not sufficient documentation.

The staff seemed nice, but didn't inform you of extra things (like paying extra for wifi or navigation which are standard in all cars now). Also signage to get to location is HORRIBLE in the airport + no employees of the airport really know how to tell you to get there.

DisapointedCar was clean inside.Night time flight tried to reduce the hassle of insurance early in the a.m. Made reservation on line with car rentals .com for a Hyundai -I 30 at he same time I purchased the collision damage coverage. This was through Allianz insurance. At check in at Avis they would not accept this insurance, they allowed me to call Allianz in the US their rep was helpful and was sorry the insurance was not accepted, a refund was offered and accepted. Bottom line I wound up paying about $ 100 more for this rental. And the car supplied was smaller than the model I requested.

Take too long for serving customers at check in and check out. The airport pick up point information is not accurate. All customers were getting irritated with waiting time. I think its not staff issue, but seems like company policy might be too strict on staff on any mistakes. Will avoid in future

These are bait and switch bandits, avoid like theI booked a car online for 13 pounds a day for 10 days. On arrival I was told I would have to pay an additional 13.25 per day basic insurance. As it was nearly midnight I told them I would take the car for 1 day. When I returned the car I heard them doing the same con on another customer. I rented a better car for less at Europecar just down the road.

Will never rent this way again. Instructions on receipt and confirming email had conflicting addresses and the wrong phone number. No signage at airport for where to find the agency, and without a working phone number, couldn’t find it. Heathrow’s information desk had never heard of it and told us to just take the car rental shuttles, but the drivers (fortunately) told us that wasn’t going to work. After 45 minutes of searching at the airport, gave up and hired a cab to take us to the two addresses we had. Fortunately, we picked the right one first (450 Bath). The cab ride ate up most of the difference in price between Routes and a name brand, on-airport rental agency. (The customers arriving after us also took a cab to get there.) There wasn’t even signage at the (correct) office park Then we waited a half hour for service as the one employee handling three different rental labels (at two different desks) was with other frustrated customers. Once finally with the agent (who was very nice, but didn’t go out of his way to apologize for the fiasco), it took another 30 minutes to rent the car. That included an improper mileage limit that required our rental confirmation receipt to correct. Unlike most of the major services, there is no insurance at all included, which the driver is required to have in the UK (and your US-based insurer probably doesn’t cover you—our very good insurance does not), so we needed to buy insurance—now our bill was substantially higher than if we had just used a name-brand, on-airport service. Also, we had specifically paid an extra $5 for a Ford rather than a Kia, so what did we get? A Kia. By the time that came up, we were so far behind our schedule that there was just no point in even mentioning it. In summary: inconvenient in the extreme (more than two hours from the time we arrived at the airport to the time we left), difficult to find, and ended up costing more than a name brand. What bliss. In short, we won’t make this mistake again. On the bright side, the car was clean, relatively new, and it drove well.

I was unable to contact the rental company on my arrival to Heathrow. All phone numbers provided to me were not answered. I had to cancel reservation and book a new rental at the airport. Worst car rental experience ever

They never answered the 15+ calls we made for the shuttle to come get us from the airport. We had to cancel it, then pay money for an Uber and couldn’t rent a car the whole time we were there. It was a joke.
