The breakfast was very good each morning. We had dinner one evening and it was top class. The room was cleaned each day. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Due to the Hotel being about 12mins from Sorrento we were reliant on buses. In the morning they were fairly frequent, however, at night time they only ran every hour. Due to this fact, when we left the Hotel in the morning we did'nt return until the night-time. We found this difficult as we would have loved to have changed, showered etc before going out at night. This was a major downside of our stay.
the view was fabulous; the hotel was spotless; the rooftop pool was wonderful; enjoyed the spa services; last but not least the restaurant was one of the best enjoyed during our entire trip.
The location. The bus stop was right jn front which made it easy to get to Sorrento, about a 10 min ride. The staff was also accommodating as we were able to leave our car there overnight while we spent one night on Capri. No wi-fi access whatsoever during our 3 days stay.
It is extremely beautifully situated. Good facilities, though all not open during our stay.
the service is impeccable. the rooms spotless feels like home.
Our stay @Hotel & Spa Bellavista Francischiello was great, the night shift staff are very very helpful. Although there's a bus stop in front of hotel but the bus fare is a bit costly Euro2.40 for 75mins. ride. We stayed for 4 nights from 23-27 Oct. it was a bit wet and we didn't have own transportation so it was a bit inconvenience. Extra charge of Euro10 for @sauna and steam is a bit too much.
resturant staff very friendly, and food very good, views from windows excellent, easy to book spa treatments. Bedroom roof leaked!! when it rained : bathroom shower mouldy : Spa facilities i.e. Sauna/steamroom not included in price.
The Hotel was very clean,Staff very helpful and facilities excellent.Wonderful views from all the rooms of capri.Highly recommended.
very pleasant, Convenient to Amalfi coast, Need a car, Excellent Sun Antipasto buffet at restaurant. clean rooms.Great views. A little hard to find
Quality of food and accomodation excelent, staff very friendly, would have liked to have had more info on location i.e. having to take a local bus into Sorrento, having a car perhaps is the answer.
The location provided an incredible view. A bus stop is located directly in front of the hotel and a quick ride, places you right in Sorrento. The spa facilities, especially the indoor pool were fabulous.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Superb location, secluded but with reasonable access to wider facilities, either by own transport or hotel minibus. Brilliant swimming pool and terrace lunch/snack facility.
The views of Capri A little hard to reach Sorrento but they did offer free bus service wish it ran more often.
The restaraunt food and wait staff were excellent. Inconvenient to travel to Sorrento by car or bus.
Everything, it was an incredible experience and certainly excellent value
Quiet hotel, away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento; stunning location with amazing views; shuttle bus service to Sorrento; private cove with safe, clear blue water for swimming as well as clean and well maintained hotel pool; boat tours from hotel to Capri and Amalfi/Positano; friendly staff. Hotel was a little bit out from the nearest village with no local shops so food and drink tended to be much more expensive in the hotel (€2.50 for a 1ltr bottle of water/small coke compared with 30c for 2ltrs of water in the supermarket); had to sign for everything so hard to keep track of what you are spending; had some trouble with ants in our room; breakfast was a bit bland with limited choice; taxi from Sorrento to hotel very expensive for such a short distance, €50!
Beautiful location, clean facility. Air conditioning did not work and staff didn't seem to care. Although location is scenic, it is very remote (20 minutes from downtown Sorrento)
Hotel Delfino was the nicest hotel we stayed at in all of Europe, I cannot think of one thing that could be improved on. This stay was at the end of our three week vacation and was the icing on the cake. Excellent in every way. We loved everything
Service, views from the hotel Infrequent times for courtesy bus to Sorrento
Nice location and nice view from the room. Strnga timeschedule fo shuttle bus to Sorento
Breathtaking view of Capri. Swimming in rocky bay Was unmatched. EXcellent food in hotel restaurant. Hotel property was great although small. Overall, a great place to be Rooms were a bit outdated. Some stylish renovation would help
Spectacular view of the room The bathroom. It was the worst ever. First of all it was too small for a double room. The towels were torn and very old. The toilet lid was brokenI highly advise them to pay more attention at the earliest.
The hotel was very clean. It was newly renovated. The people were really welcoming. It is a good example of a family run hotel. They had the sincerity of a family and professional service.
the staff were marvelous, the room is big and comfortable. the price is very cheap. the was keeped klean evryday.
Very friendly family running the hotel, clean and nice rooms, location off the beaten track and quiet in a small village in the hills above Sorrento. Good price/quality ratio. Apart from the "normal"' visits to Herculaneum/ Pompei/Top of Vesuvius and Paestum we also spent a full day in the direct surroundings with climbs/footpaths with spectacular views and nice "old times" beachvillage Marina del Cantone. This was a wonderful day ! a bit quiet in the hotel, since we were the only guests for a couple of days. Time it takes to travel ( very slow traffic on long winding road) to and from the peninsula/ Sorrento to autostrada near Pompei , but this was our own choice of course.
Extremely friendly and helpful family run the b&B. They make you feel very welcome and assist with any holiday planning queries. The Pic Nic restaurant attached makes amazing pizza and pasta. The rooms are very clean and tastefully decorated. We were very happy with our stay there. Hard to reach through busy windy narrow roads. Not very close to the surrounding beachside towns. Car is a must to get to hotel. Breakfast is ok but very basic.
cleanliness, family atmosphere and general wish by proprietors to make us comfortable, nothing too much trouble nothing wrong at all
Pizzas from Papa and Mamas biscuits for breakfast. Beeing a part of family. Superbe black vine (merlot) and home made ice cream (crocante). Salat "Caprese" of course. Rooms 1-5 are simpy beautiful.
the view breakfast
The rooms were very good offering stunning views. Excellent car parking . Location was good and the shuttle bus very handy for seeing Sorrento Understand a new pool may be built. Current one is ok but a little small
It was good. No
good value but. too many tour bus clients, very nice up to date hotel. lunch and dinner menus very weak and no choices.
Wow, what a great 4-star hotel! The views from the room were unbelievable! Hotel offers free parking and free WiFi! The room was clean and the staff were all extremely helpful. Would highly recoomend.
The hotel is good, in a very pleasant. With many trees, quiet environment.
The view Nothing
good romantic spot.away from everything which has good & bad sides.staff Salvatore,Walter &vladimir -the best in Italy.Felt like Iwas at home here .Peaceful, almost surreal view of Capri .Stunning solitude . too far from the beach
The hotel situated on the top of the mountain. Very beautiful view to coastline, sea, island Capri, island Ichia, Napoli, Vesuvio and so on. Rooms are big and in every room have air-conditioner. In every apartment have a big balconi with table and seats (some apartments have special barbecue places). Restaurant is good with different foods and very beautiful view. We spend very good time.
Welcoming host, friendly staff, breathtaking views, wonderful food. Our room was large, high-ceilinged, recently modernised and very comfortable. The large balcony, westerly-facing and overlooking Capri and the Bay of Naples, was a real bonus, especially to view spectacular sunsets. The food served in the atmospheric restaurant (Il Cantuccio is an established restaurant) was excellent, with Sergio the host and Franco the Head Waiter offering high quality "off-menu" options. Real local Campania cuisine. Relais Il Pennino is situated in Massa Lubrense, a small town just 5km south of Sorrento - a quiet spot with some great walks and a direct bus link to Sorrento. Would have been nice to have coffee/tea making facilities in the room
Il Pennino is in an excellent position a few km from Sorrento. It is situtaed in the main square in Massa Lubrense. The owner, Sergio, is a most charming host and nothing is too much trouble - he definitely goes that extra mile to make sure you have an excellent holiday. The hotel is small but very comfortable. Our room had a huge balcony, with table, chairs and sunloungers, and an absolutely stunning view over the Bay of Naples from Capri right round to Naples. The restaurant at the hotel is also excellent. Travel by public transport is efficient and cheap - buses run every 20 minutes to Sorrento and it's a 20-30 min journey. I would highly recommend Il Pennino.
It is a new hotel, everything was immaculate. The room was very well designed and nice and airy with the high ceiling. The view from the room was stunning. The restaurant was lovely, we ate there most nights. I'd definitely stay there again.
The very professional but relaxed approach to guests and the impressive surroundings. Plus stunning views.
Fantastic views, great food, everyone was very friendly and made our 3 days a great time off We had their best room - it was a bit expensive
The view was stunning, you look down on Sorrento and directly over to Vesuvius No Gym. Parking was a little limited
Very helpful and friendly staff, good food and fantastic views of the bay of Naples. Plenty of shade and an easy walk into the village of St Agata. Possible to walk to Sorrento and this is well worth doing, but the return proved too challenging. Pool was a bit small for size of hotel.
The view and access to the village Santa Agata. The breakfast tea and coffee not very hot so could be improved.
The location is good, near to all that goes around Amalfi Coast. Rooms are clean, spacious and confortable. Santa Agata village is within a 3 minutes walk and you'll find some good restaurants there. The staff is rude and the breakfast is poor. The swimming pool closes at 6 o'clock (we cannot understand why)
We stayed at the ghh after a friend's recommendation and were not disappointed. What a fabulous location! We had rooms with seaview and balcony - fabulous view down mountain over the lemon and olive groves to Sorrento and across the bay of naples to Vesuvius. Spacious room with very comfy bed and large balcony. Air conditioning was very welcome, and as hotel is up in the hills above Sorrento it was a little cooler than the town. There is a regular free minibus service in and out of town, and free parking at the hotel. We ate in the hotel every night - reasonably priced and very good, and we were able to sit outside at tables set up around the pool area, and enjoy that fantastic view. Wonderful staff, nothing too much trouble. Decor a little old fashioned, perhaps, and some of the fittings showing a little wear and tear, but we liked it; it went with the old fashoned courtesy and service of the staff. Only things we disliked were having to pay extra for use of safe and internet, when these are often included; and the fact that the chambermaid had clearly been smoking in the corridors in between cleaning the rooms. Also the locals had lots of very noisy firework displays at all hours when we were there, altho we didn't find out what they were celebrating!
Amazing view from the balcony over Sorrento, across to Mount Vesuvius. 5 min walk into the charming village of Sant Agata. Good sized bedrooms. Staff really friendly particularly the reception staff who really go out of their way to assist. Free shuttle bus into Sorrento a god send considering the distance (approx 8 km) and the ridiculously overpriced taxi fares!! Because of the position of the hotel (approx 300 metres) it is much cooler at the hotel than down in Sorrento. Blankets are provided in the rooms though which are needed in September. For some reason every sound echos throughout the whole hotel. In particular any sound in the corridors or bedrooms is amplified. Breakfast coffee is truly terrible and instead of fresh juice they serve cordial. The pool bar does serve proper coffee though.
The view was amazing, the staff at the bar and pool were very friendly and there was a good atmosphere. The rooms were very clean and the food was lovely and very reasonable price. I didnt think the reception staff were helpful and some of them had bad english and did not know enough information about trips etc.
Polite, welcoming staff especialy Manager who speaks good English. Small yet superb facilities. Lots of room in main hotel for relaxation.
Great hotel staff and great view. Poor breakfast selection and horrible coffee which is unusual for Italy. One should not have to pay extra for the use of frigde in the room.
staff friendly and helpful, good value, nice pool, fabulous views over Vesuvius and Sorrento. Easy walk to nearby village Pool officially closed at 6.30 which we thought would require us to rush back from days out. However it did stay open later if the weather was hot and it was busy so it wasnt much of an issue. I was not overly fond of the food
We liked the quite and the relaxation, and the possibilty of taking tours wile staying at the Hotel. We hed difficults to find the hotel, because ther are no clear directon signs to the village of Santa Agata. The hotel has no exact address.
Staff were really friendly and helpful. Loved the magnificent views, decor and history of the house. Courtesy bus service into Sorrento was appreciated. Suggest that WiFi internet access be made available to rooms.
Hotel is luxurious, clean and spacious, friendly staff. Fantastic view for Gulf of Napoli and Vesuvius. Very good breakfast, with a variety of foods.
As a mixed group of six people with ages ranging from 9 to 50 we were all extremely happy with this hotel. Very relaxed, large comfortable rooms, attentive staff, lovely situation - we will definitely return for a longer stay. The breakfast was a little limited.
The hotel is peaceful, quiet and in a tranquil location with fantastic views. The staff were very welcoming and very helpful.
The hotel was very luxurious and the views from our balcony were breathtaking. The prices for drinks were expensive. We had to pay extra to upgrade to a balcony but i presume thats normal. Breakfast was very good. We only had bed and breakfast and eat out in the little village behind the hotel.
A typical local hotel situated in a small Italian village. The hotel is expensive but food and drink in the village is very reasonable. As we were return visitors to this hotal we were not let down by the local style cuisine - several guests expected Michelin star standard food and were full of complaints. We found the nightly menus satisfactory and the staff courteous and professional. In line with Sorrento establishments the prices of all drinks had increased significantly and we did not stay in the hotel for drinks after dinner.
Friendly atmosphere. Clean and spacious. Very relaxing. It would have been good to have a balcony overlooking Sorrento but this would have been at a higher cost. Breakfast was good with a variety of foods. The drinks were expensive. Our room was close to the lift and the lift bell made quite a noise which at times was annoying. There was no privacy when you sat on our balcony.
in general not bad, staff very friendly, breakfast rather good, clean rooms prices of drinks were very high, swimming pool was often full, dogs at night were noisy, way to the beaches long
the view, the quitness
We stayed 8 nights in early September 2009 at the Sant'Agata Hotel and all I can say is that it was flawless. The staff in particular was very friendly and helpful, eager to make our stay as pleasant as possible and great with our baby. The room that we had was large, bright and clean. The pool area was well maintained and the the pool itself has a good size. The hotel is situated at walking distance from the center of Sant'Agata and at 100 meters of a bus stop bound for Sorrento. We can't do other than highly recommend this venue to anyone seeking a quite place to spend a relaxing vacantion, not to forget to mention that the hotel location offers great sightseeing possibilities in the nearby region.
The hotel is well situated for visit in all of the Sorento Penisula and beyond. We usen it as a base for trips to Pompei, Sorento, Capri. It can be used for rural hiking too. The staff is very willing to help in advice about the area.
They tryed to give us a seconf class rooms declarig that these were their best rooms.
The pool was great and Mariella the beatiful mermaid that works at the pool. The chandeliers in the foyer could use some washing. Nice clean weekend getaway The bed was unfortable but the staff said they had 2 types of mattresses so do not hesitate to ask them to switch if its not your type.
My daughter got ill during our stay and the staff was very helpful. The swimming pool was drained for repairs and one of the reasons we chose the hotel was to have access to a pool.
Great sea front location
great location and good atmosphere in the hotel It is hard to get to unless you rent a car and the shuttle sevice the hotel provides is limited.
Close to the beach. There is a real small town holiday atmosphere and the restuarants are right on the beach overlooking a setting sun and views of the bay of Napels and Vesuvius in the distance The fact that you had to pay to have acces to te beachb right in front of the hotel. A short walk away was the solution. The access road is very narrow and winds down to the hotel. Parking is not close by and a trolleys is use to walk 100 meters with baggage. We were helped when we arrived but had to do it ourselves when we left.
A charming and hidden hotel that serves outstanding fish and regional food; a lively place at day (fishermen and local bathers), quiet and beautiful at night. An affordable gem!
The place wanderfull but... Very noisy room hapilly I spent only one night. I cant figure out why I got so bad room I was very dissapointed, probbably It was the worste room in this hotel.
Proximity to the beach (but beach was too packed) Cappuccino was good. The beds were horrible. Practically broken. Blood on the sheets too. It sounded like there was a stampede of kids all night and morning. Couldn't sleep. No more Chocolate croissant in the morning (not much else without that) We were on the beach but for some reason we couldn't get chairs without paying for them, even though we paid a lot for the room. And then they oblige us to install ourselves far away.
The location of the Hotel. It was hard to find it, but it's just close to Sorrento and had direct transportation to Capri. For the family rooms (in this case, we are 5 people), a fridge in the room is fine.
Excellent out of the way quiet location on the beach with a choice of restaurants. There was a shuttle bus 3 times a day into sorrento and back. My room had a view of a wall, but my friend's room had a beautiful view so I was just a little bit unfortunate there.
Convenient and homely
Beatiful beach and surrending, also breakfeast was nice, fresh bakery, homemade yogurt, good coffee every day. (Not a very wide selection, but it was really nice and you could eat as much as you wanted.) Our room was really good, very big and spacious, and looked really nice. However not every room is like that, some were only avarege, but still ok. Bed was too soft, sometimes couldn't sleep. Otherwise everything was very good. Little bit of disappointment: there was no sunbed and umbrella included in the price. Previously in other seaside hotels, it was included. Actually there were some free sunchair and umbrella at the hotel entrance, but not at the seaside. All in all it was a very nice stay, and good value for money. I can recommend it to others.
Food and sea view It was imposible to find with my GPS.
One of my favorite hotels. Located on the beach, with great sea-view. Room modest but comfortable. Best restaurant inside, try home made pasta with sea food.
The standard of hotel , room, restaurant was excellent - especially state of decor and cleanliness When asking for a pot of tea we were told the staff were too busy - go outside to the next cafe !!
The views and the people, plus the beach in close proximity. The unclear fact of charges for activities(solarium; sauna; turkish bath;sauna).
Location is good even if difficult to get to No parking...difficult if you don't pay an extra for it (20€/day) and poor breakfast
The setting was beutiful and peaceful although the latter would not be true for the high season given that it is at the end of the road and traffic including heavy vehicles are parked or moving pass, The airconditioning unit was not automatically programmed from the reception desk.
Nice staff and management.good location Expensive parking!!!
Friendly staff, convenience. Non sea view rooms very dark.
everything....Alfonso, Olga & Co made our stay complete
Olga & her family were really lovely and on hand whenever you needed them. Booked our boat trip to Capri and left us down to the boat, even though we could have gotten a bus.
