The Carmel Hill Del Monte Pines Motel is located in Monterey just a few miles from Monterey Bay. There are things to do here that are easily accessible, and the surrounding area is comfortable and serene.

This is a small motel with only 20 rooms. All rooms have air conditioning, microwaves, refrigerators, and stone fireplaces. There are also TVs, coffeemakers, hairdryers, and phone lines. The rooms are simple and meant to be a comfortable place to rest at night or between your outings.

The Carmel Hill Del Monte Pines Motel doesn’t have a restaurant on the property but there are some good choices for food not far away. P.F. Chang’s is very near to the motel. The motel does have grills on-site that guests are welcome to use for grilling up something delicious. Other choices in Monterey include Monterey’s Fish House, Hula’s Island Grill, Rosine’s Restaurant, and El Cantaro.

The motel has an indoor pool for guests to enjoy. Fisherman’s Wharf is within a decent walk of the property or just a quick car ride. There is some good hiking in the area, as well as golfing. There is the Monterey Bay Aquarium not far away. There’s also lots of good places to go cycling around the bay. Guests can get out on the water too. It’s a great area for sailing and whale watching at certain times of the year.

The Carmel Hill Del Monte Pines Motel gives travelers to the Monterey area a nice place to stay for not a ton of money. The location is great for people wanting to be close to the water but not pay exorbitant prices.

Pros (+) The gentleman at the front the desk was nice. The motel is near a Whole Foods Market. The motel is also centrally located and is within a short drive to wharf and downtown.
Cons (-) Everything is old. Walls were thin. Curtains had holes which allowed for outside light. Overall, this place was dingy and not worth what we paid.
