the car was a great size for our trip to the snow.

Cons:

there was not owner's manual in the glove box, and the tires were a little on the low side.

Pros:

I booked a car on Kayak for my trip to San Jose, not knowing that Mountain View is far from the airport.

Cons:

There is no shuttle, or ride offered, from the San Jose Airport to the Budget Office in MV. When I called them they were unfriendly and unhelpful.

Cons:

I needed to clean the windshield but there was no washing fluid in the tank. Next time I will check. I wasn’t told the office is closed on Saturday and since there were two notes in the window, one saying Open 9 -12 the other one Closed Saturday and Sunday I wasted half hour waiting

Systems did not work It took an hour to provide service to 3 customers Car was dirty and faulty - two warning indicators in the dashboard Can was not ready on time Facility was dirty - the drinking water were dirty with some strange substance inside

The employees misinformed me about how to pay for the Golden Gate Bridge toll crossing. Two different employees told me to pay immediately through PlatePass, which is incorrect (they take a few weeks to post a bill and do not notify you when this happens). This resulted in additional charges to my account. The correct site is through bayareafastrak.org.

Highly disappointed with this company, this company decides that they are above the federal law and will not accept cash as occurrency. And you're only option is to follow whatever they want otherwise you cannot take a car and all of your holiday will be ruined.

The only negative was the windshield wipers. The right side one was, the rubber was falling offf and the left one left a streak in my field of view. Bur overall, it was a great experience.

The night before they were going to take my credit (chime credit not bank) . My son was stuck in Florida with his four year old. They wouldn’t rent it me, my. Ex husband went with exact same kind of card. And they rented go figure!

Zero customer service through dollar and kayak both. Basically got screwed out of my rental. So I paid for nothing. Crazy this was my third rental in two weeks through kayak and have many more to rent but will never use your services again

Until the rental car industry drastically shortens the time from the time one walks up to the rental counter until pickup of the vehicle, I for one will not be happy with the pickup procedure. The return was quick and excellent. I was not aware of understood the breakdown of the final bill.

I prepaid but was forced to buy standard liability insurance despite me telling them I have my own insurance and declining it. The lady said it is mandatory in Texas. Came to know that was a lie. Also I booked with Visa credit card and it offers same,

This is one of the worst car rental experiences I’ve had. Kayak is terrible to get to. In spite of all the push ads I’ve received from them they have not responded and customer service telephone numbers give out wrong information and Europcar refuses to attend to my rental agreement changes stating that I’ve booked a 3rd party such as Kayak. So you guys do not add value. You just make life more difficult for car renters

Terrible experience, I arrived 30 mins late because of a flight delay. I attempted to contact Europcar several times with no answer. Upon arrival I was told “we gave your car away because we didn’t think you were coming”.

The lobby where the Thrifty desk is located is crazy loud. I could barely hear the representative when I called the location directly. It completely put me off, but I stuck with it. I had no problem with the car or staff. The walk to the lot for picking up the car is a bit of a pain but I'm not sure how they could work around that since the office is right at the dock. Overall a good experience.

Rental car level was wrong when we picked up, then they lied about the coverage and he added more than asked for. We went to pick up the car and the lady outside then said we have an electric car, but we had a large SUV. Made me prove it in an email after the guy inside said we had a small SUV. It was a joke from start to finish.

I loved the car loved the easy pick up and return of the rental car. The airport made it very self explanatory to get the car back with white letters on the road to direct you back to the rental car return. Made me smile. I had to extend my rental due to not finishing the work I came down for and the company made it very easy to extend.

Payless has great customer service for the situation we were out in. The insurance prices are crazy but at the end of the day it wasn’t Payless fault. This is a country requirement that we did understand prior to booking. The pick up was easy and Luis was great!! Drop off was simple as well and super friendly. Car was cleaned when we picked up and that was appreciated.

The check-in process took forever. It was a large line and at the beginning the attendance. Chatting among each other, Delaying the process. Finally, a young man came in. And checked in as many people as the previous to attendance did together. I’ve been to this car rental before, and it brought a memory of the last time we experience the same thing. Very frustrating.

I prepaid for my car only to get to the counter and wait for just under an hour. Once assigned a car, I again waited because I was then told my car was double booked. I finally got a car, and it was a great car. However, after turning it in on time I was charged for 3 additional days because they had me down as driving a completely different car. Definitely will Pay More next time and rent from someone else.

Getting from baggage claim to Payless terminal had to stand in long lines to get on the bus. The customer service agent was very nice and friendly. We ended up getting an electric car, but never told us about what charging stations we could use being not familiar with that type of electric car and where the charging stations were a big problem wasted a lot of time during our driving experience, trying to find chargers that would work.

Payless always comes through, the pickup and dropoff process is fast and easy never any issue.. The payless cars are very updated and reliable, the price is always affordable and the deposit is always given back as soon as you drop it off, no extra charges or fees.. I highly recommend them, been using them for the past 3 yrs everytime i travel and not 1 issue..

not getting a car at all when I showed up to the rental on the day of because THEY WERE CLOSED, and then not receiving any discount in having to book another car myself within the hour of this happening. Absolutely horrible experience. Customer service not helpful at all.

I wasn't even able to get the car since they were closed on the day of booking. I called 3 times and was told someone would call me back to help get another car rental at the same price but no one called me back. Totally messed up my plans for the holidays. Never renting from enterprise again.
