excellent service esp restaurant staff
staff creaky floorbards
cant pick one individualy, it was all very good. No, it was a very enjoyable stay.
Pleasant and efficient welcome. Receptionist took us to our room and confirmed reservation details and extended the leaving time by 1 hr. The spa is separate to the main building so we had to venture out in the freezing cold to get to the spa.
Comfortable and relaxing
The extremely helpful staff who were only too willing to go the extra mile for your comfort and well being
Very good and friendly staff Housekeping and breakfast extremely poor
the whole experience was great. the food was excellent
restaurant fully booked so had to eat in the brasserie, breakfast poor selection and quality, have written letter of complaint to hotel
It was a lovely hotel. We didn't spend a great deal of time there - but the staff were delightful and the hotel itself was gorgeous.
Poor breakfast lot of norseout side in morning
Very welcoming and obliging staff, nice bar and pleasant room. a delightful overnight stay. None
Preservation of "olde world" features Lateness of room servicing
Very interesting historic building. Central location. Pleasant and helpful staff
Lots of character, very clean Limited food options, especially for vegetarians
convenient location, hassle free
room was basic but comfortable, bathroom was dated could have done with updating , room not worth the price !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The position of the hotel was good, enjoyed the old fashioned ambiance Noisy (from outside) room very small, hotel would benift from refurbishment, its looking well worn
The ease of checking in and a very helpful and informative male introduced us to the Hotel and facilities. Although it was only one night and didnt spend much time at the Hotel the experiance with staff etc was very good Nothing at all it was exactly as desribed very interesting Hotel
The hotel was very old and had great charactor. Was unhappy when I learned that we had paid more through Booking.com than we would if we had booked direct. We paid £99.90 with continental breakfast and were told that cost with full breakfast was about £10 each less.ie £87.50
staff excellent, polite and very helpful sreaking floorboards in room amd corridors, rooms in need of updating
Lots of parking; convenient and busy pub next door with facilities for meals. big room, big bed. shower was great. The room was rather sparsely furnished - there was only one chair and it looked like there should have been a table, but it wasn't there. there was also a 'power hum' all night, a bit disturbing.
Well Please. Will! Now say only with when we can. all above are our true answers. None
Visiting family and for me was an ideal location No free wi-fi
A good simple hotel with attentive reception staff and clean modern bedrooms. The on-site pub was an added advantage.
Very Convenient - good location - good parking - nice room - Good food !
New Hotel so in great condition, on arrival the lift was out of order but I was offered to have my bags taken upstairs. Room Service was great and varied choice. No bad points
Hotel very modern clean comfortable and ease of access from M6. The sausages at breakfast were overcooked and had a herb flavour simple well cooked sausages.
Lovely bathroom, super shower Good breakfast Pleasant temperature in bedroom Would have preferred a King-size bed, but bed comfortable
Clean modern surroundings. The room was strangely warm, despite the heating not being on. Despite a storm going on outside, I had to open the window to make the temperature bearable. Something you don't expect at this time of the year. Also, for a new hotel, there were several aspects which were already needing maintenance such as paint peeling off the bathroom door frame and yellowing of the grout on the tiles in the shower.
Very clean, comfortable beds, excellent food and service.
Wonderful Jacobean building - though the room we stayed in was in the modern extension. Room large, well-equipped and comfortable.
We stayed for a Wedding and found the Hall to be steeped in history, loved the old features of the place especially the fireplaces. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Food excellent, accommodation was excellent and we enjoyed every moment. Nothing at all to dislike.
Atmosphere, friendly staff
poor experience - only redeeming feature was the quality of the breakfast. Otherwise didnt like much Service was extremely poor. Unfriendly staff - no offers of assistance. Things faulty in the room - tv and phone. Room service food was over priced and dreadful. Cold congealed chees on toast. I have written a longer review at tripadvisor.
The setting and atmosphere. No Leisure Facilities
politness of the staff Waiting for the lift, and the light never lit until lift was on its way, no stairs from 1st floor, espsecaily waiting for the lift. Noise of the raditaors in the room. Internet should be free, most hotels are these days. Lack of signs to brassire
Excellent service. Lovely room in old part of hotel- the Hall. Afternoon tea very enjoyable in sumptuous lounge. Evening meals expensive. Breakfast average. 'Cooked' breakfast luke warm.
Beautiful building, friendly staff and excellent facilities including super breakfast. Bedroom carpet stained and shower leaked onto bathroom floor however I reported this on the maintenance card in my room. I did feel the restaurant prices were a little high with little in the way of a snack or supper menu as a cheaper option.
A friend recommended this hotel to me. It is close to Crewe train station, about 5 minutes drive. beautiful landscape and ancient castle.
Wonderful rooms with four poster beds in beautifully restored country house. Well designed luxury room and bathroom. Thoughtful touches - decanter with port in the room, nice selection for hot drinks, selection of dvds provided by the owners, complimentary wine won arrival. The host was friendly but unobtrusive and made us feel comfortable and well looked after. We were upgraded to the King Charles II room and it was fantastic, perfect for a romantic getaway.
Fabulous atmosphere and amazing decoration. Unbelievably friendly service and the welcome decanter of sherry is such a stylish touch. Just great. Not a thing
This was an amazing place to stay. The owner is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the home and is eager to introduce guests to all aspects of the hotel. There were no negative spects to our stay at all, except the taxi service we had to take us to a nearby restaurant, sent a driver who had no knowledge of the area at all.
The food served throughout the hotel was excellent, and always freshly cooked.
We really enjoyed our night at Hunters Lodge Hotel, the staff were very welcoming even although they had to make sure all the wedding guests arriving were well looked after and we ate our breakfast the next morning with the bride, bridegroom and family. No nothing at all!
The staff were friendly, the breakfast was good, the rooms are clean but basic and suspect better value can be had elsewhere. ok for one night. It is a pub/restaurant/function location with some cheaply built rooms around the back. The floors creak and the walls are thin. You get what you pay for.
Clean, efficient, no hassle, good service.
Peacefull Lack of fine detail
Homely with friendly courtious and helpful staff It was very pleasant ; if I was being very critical the bar service was slow, not due to the staff who were excellent but the lack of numbers - but it was a Monday evening stay when perhaps full compliment was not applicable.
overall friendliness of hotel staff, and the layout of facilities
Good food and pleasant staff
I have stayed at Hunters Lodge many times over the last 5 years. The Rooms are clean and OK. Evening meals are good pub standard but in my view the Breakfast is the best in UK. The cooked breakfast comes quickly and is always good. Coffee and toast appear quickly etc. It is excellent value for money and I always try to stay at Hunters Lodge if in the Crewe area. I have stayed in quite a few others but now always try Hunters Lodge first. I like a bath and some rooms only have a shower.
Very clean, comfortable rooms. Pleasant staff. The hotel had a "nice" feel to it. Excellent breakfast.
Excellent receptionist for the majority of the time. Very helpful in every respect. Can't recall the name but believe it was similar to Raskia. Asian female. Balcony in one of the suites had not been checked. A plant had blown over and caused an earth mess over the entire area. Booked a smoking room and it turnes out to be the only one where you could not smoke.
Overall good hotel, friendly personel, good breakfast
Good value accommodation very close to crewe station Bar snack was poor
The room and its facilities The location, the views were terrible, right opposite McDonalds
Easily accessible from motorway. Quick courteous service at reception and checkout.
Room was clean and very comfortable. Air con in room was a bit noisy
the only downfall is that it is located right next to a busy mcdonalds restaurant
Room was great and friendly staff will stay again
I liked the location and services provided. There was quite some noise from cars beeping out.
Staff were courteous and helpful throughout. The restaurant was excellent for our evening meal and the bar preseneted a relaxing environment Requested a smoking room and were given a non smoking room and the breakfast was very poor
Staff very pleasant & helpful. Good choice available for Breakfast. Very nice room although was too warm for us. Our room was too hot.
very helpful staff, easy of position in the town, easy parking, excellent restaurant. slow service in the bar.
Staff were friendly
Chambermaid staff were very good and maintained our room very well during our 3 night stay. No offer by reception staff of morning newspaper procurement. Poor standard of room fittings with only 1 no. electric plug working and extension lead reel in use for TV. Over bright inflexible bedside lighting. Poor decoration in rooms. No grab handles/anti-slip in bath.
Conveniently situated with adequate car parking Creaking floors and very limited television stations with poor reception - perhaps a satalite aerial should be installed.
Staff hospitality Door locks
Pleasant rooms, friendly staff, plenty of parking spaces
The location was good, the food was very good, overall it was a very enjoyable experience.
The convenience of the hotel was excellent. The receptionist at checking in was very good and although early we were able to access our rooms to leave bags. There was nothing that I or our group disliked.
The room was comfortable and the location was ideal, just opposite the Railway Station
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean and very comfortable and the selection of food at breakfast was good. in the double room that we had there was only only one tea cup between two of us
clean, tidy, great staff, friendly beer expensive when paying £95 a room
very friendly staff, room was clean, the setting of the hotel is beautiful I used the gym and was surprised not to find desinfectant available and therefore people not cleaning their machines after utilisation. The room was very warm because the window only opens a couple of inches, which would get worse during warmer periods of the year
the room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent quite a long walk to the room
The food The internet service was expensive and difficult - you should offer something which can be used for more than 24 hours
Convenience, I arrived too late and left too early to enjoy any of the facilities but what I did see looked impressive. Bed matress was too soft and springy - I didnt get a lot of sleep. Shower was pathetic. I was in a room next to a store cupboard and I found it rather noisy first thing in the morning.
Peaceful surroundings, and delightful grounds. Bar prices extremely high.
We enjoyed the excellent food and the staff we were in contact with around the hotel were very pleasant and helpful. There is nowhere to answer in question 3 the fact that we were travelling as mother and daughter. ( This is not a complaint, just an observation ).
Room was large and well decorated, the bed was comfy and the hotel quiet Some other guests were noisy when going to their rooms late at night
The spa facilities were accessible and we were encouraged to use them The room was a long way from the reception and the corridors are difficult to navigate , signage could be improved.
Quality of cleanliness in room, quality of bed and bed linen, staff were very helpful. Rooms very quiet, could not hear guests in other rooms. None
You know what you're getting Having to wait inthe restaurant for 40 mins for cold pasta (but when mentioned I did get a complimentary dessert)
The hotel has recently recieved a make over and is very clean and the staff were very friendly. The adjoining restaurant was not great... Service was good, the food was not.
Comfortable, clean, easy to find, accessible from the motorway, ample parking, good value for money. There was some noise from people outside.
Good location, clean room and value for money. Parking was listed on the internet as having to make a reservation but when I ran the hotel direct they said they never had a reservation system for parking as there was ample parking at the hotel.
One of the best Premier Inns that I have stayed in,with a very helpful and friendly staff, and in a pleasant location. The mash potatoes with the evening meal were bland and tasteless, which seems to be common throughout, however, this was more than made up for by the porridge served the following morning, which was the best Ive tasted south of the border.
The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Lots of parking space.
short stopover for local function so no comment really
Location is very good, room very comfortable and clean. Uniformity even in standards between hotels at different locations.
only stayed one noight pre hospital visit double bed and too thick duvet!! wish there were twin beds available!!
lovely hotel, luxurious, great setting and nice grounds for a walk. very convenient for the golf on site and also neighbouring areas. you would expect a hotel of this quality to have a gym/pool. Minor Point but need to get card payments systems updated to accept mastercard debit cards. wouldnt accept at start but accepted to pay at end.
The breakfast. Thw spa lady Julie was awsome so freindly and great The noise had to move rooms was we were in room 1 and the door to the rooms kept banging and we could not sleep
Excellent setting in the heart of the golf coarse. Nice clean, tidy room and friendly staff None
Excellent food at dinner and breakfast The furniture in my room 118 looked like it was flood damaged. The restaurant staff were obsessed with room numbers and signatures to the point of annoyance - it should only be necessary to give our room number once not after every transaction. Training of staff in the restaurant not good enough
Hotel was spacious and comfortable. Room was excellent, hotel was quiet. Hotel is within a secured area with open surroundings. Hotel had additional charge for payments by credit card, so paid cash and was not offered the £1 change.
The peace - so very quiet Bar prices far to expensive. No tablecloths. Self service breakfast. Poor dinner menu (we went to another hotel in crewe for dinner)
Gentleman on reception very helpful.
good value for money, good food
I liked the security features. I would like to have had real coffee available after dinner
lovely surrounding views of golf course and lots of rabbits! breakfast was not quite hot enough
Very friendly staff, very quiet & free Internet!!
Very cheap. Clean. Friendly helpful staff. Quiet. Breakfast cheap (£5) for a decent freshly cooked english breakfast. Very easy access from Crewe railway station (perfect for my needs). No shampoo etc in bathroom. Restaurant not open all week for evening meals if required. No room service.
excellent location, clean and tidy room rushed breakfast clearing plates, more milk required in room ,biscuit would of been nice
Clean friendly staff Room small. Not that good value at £35 a night without breakfast. This is why the following week I will be staying at another hotel very near at £30 a night with breakfast.
Staff although under pressure of sunday lunch were very good indeed Mattress needs updating, woke up at 4am could'nt get back to sleep because of mattress but the room was good and most of all very clean thanks
Convenient location, comfortable None
It was surprisingly up-to-date, clean, quiet, comfortable & warm for a "budget" hotel, with very friendly staff.
staff very pleasant and helpful, breakfast good value. the shower had nowhere to put soap/gel or bath mat to stand o n when getting out
Room was small but adequate. It was very noisey.
