The room was very small. Two beds and one nightstand. No more place for anything else. Unfortunately, no elevator in the building and the stairs were very steep. The room was clean and the staff very helpful and friendly,
What You Pay for is What You Get
Staff were very friendly with us at check in and out, plus it was fast and easy. Charged a $50 fee for a just in case of any damage is caused. 7-10 days to ger my money back is a big yikes! Other than that, the room was actually very comfortable, the beds were nice and cable tv was provided. Was just me and my girlfriend checking in for the night, had requested a queen sized bed but we got two full sizes instead, can't complain. The bathroom was extremely small but was enough to do what we needed. Pretty much you get what you pay for, it's not a bad hotel for budget and it is in a very nice area of Broadway. Would consider using this hotel again next time my girlfriend and I want to spend a night in Manhattan. Oh, plus it's conveniently located next to a Starbucks.
The deposit charge being released in 7-10 days. Wanted to take a bath but the switch to lock the drain appeared to had been broken, so neither of us could take a bath and had to shower.
Great location - near Columbia University
Dingy, no elevators, dim lighting, narrow corridors.
Extraordinarily noisy and very bare bones. The hot water in the bathroom took very long to heat up and proved unreliable. To reach the hotel, one must climb a steep and narrow stairway, only wide enough for one person. Only in NYC could this possibly be considered a two-star hotel.
Very friendly staff- they'll help bring your bags up/down the stairs. Was impressed with the service. Rooms are very clean, beds are very comfortable, bathroom was new but small. The carpeting was a bit warn but that was it. Fresh, clean paint on the walls. Overall, I was very impressed with the cleanliness, service and price point for this hotel. Also, the location is great and the theme was very interesting, having visited Marrakech, Morocco only weeks prior. Kudos! Will definitely stay again if I plan on making another quick one-night trip to NYC!
All the staff was very friendly and helpfull.
Room smelled like dirty socks and urine. The heat was about 80 degrees inthe room and we could not get window open for relief Carpet was filthy and all night there were strange shouts or screams with doors slamming. We were glad to get out of this really tacky dirty hotel . Never go there if you want peace and cleanliness.
Same as above
The worst hotel in my life ever. They should change the category to one star. The hotel is old, dirty, noisy and the staff are not interested in help you. The guests were are strange, like drug addicts. I saw policemens going there loooking for people. You can watch porn movies in tv, like a motel. Don't go there. It's better pay more and stay in midtown area.
It's location, very convenient.
The bar, unprofessional staff, no atmosphere. Expensive.
it's very convinent because it is near the subway. room is quite clean
It is well located close to Central park and the Timesquare subway route. The staff were also very nice and freindly.
It's hotel prices for hostel accommdoation! The rooms were small and the ehating didnt work very well. It was often either too hot or too cold. The radiator in our room would wake us up at 6am without fail every morning by making loud ratteling noises.
This hotel said it had a refit, It was very dark and rooms were shabby, The plus side was the staff were fantastic. Also it's quite a long way out, On the ourskirts of Harlem.
Cocktail bar and happy hour. Beautiful decor. Well-furnished rooms. Extremely friendly and personal staff.
Had to pay for breakfast. Rooms could have had better lighting (i.e. table lamps).
Convenient for subway. Attractive decor. Helpful staff
Room very small with inadequate storage and lighting. No elevator and a very narrow dark stairway.
comfortable bed,next to subway,cheap
there was not hangers for clothes at all
Good location, cute lobby, friendly staff
Bathroom very small, but room was comfortable
