Excellent proximity to Grand Central on 42nd St
Not all electrical outlets appeared to work, poor hot water for shower. Ended up taking a cold shower.
Price was ok for NYC. Facilites were clean, not fancy.
Heard neighbors noise.
Grand old hotel
Great rooms and views. Worth paying for a balcony! Friendly staff.
A small boutique hotel in the center of every and right on 42nd Street. The rooms are small but adequate for two people. The lighting controls are unique and nice.
A broken faucet which should have been fixed before a guest was sent to that room.
Staff was friendly. We felt really welcomed.
The shower curtain smelled like wet towel. The AC was not cold enough and was very loud. You can hear every time a door closes in the hallway.
Not so much bang for your buck
The room was decent sized. The bed was comfy. The water pressure in the shower was Amazing! The hotel was conveniently located.
Nothing was included. We got breakfast for one person, one morning, and it cost $41. Everything was extremely overpriced. Drinks, snacks, all of it.
Front desk person was rude and not concerned at all of making us feel welcomed.
Friendly staff. Good location.
Small rooms. Thin walls, you can hear you neighbors very clearly. When we arrived the TV remote did not work. the iron in the room did not work properly, and there was a loud noise when the air conditioner was running. We ended up changes rooms.
Good hotel. Small room but functional
Good functional albeit small room. Location good for us. Easy to get cabs.
AC was not effective. Did not cool below about 76f no matter the setting
Everything was good except: At 1:30AM on 4/17/15
Location, Easy check-in & out, decoration, staff...
The jackhammer noise work me up at 1:30AM both mornings..
it was ok
I like the staff, however I did not get my requested room with a few
The location of the room
Everything we needed was there or offered to us.
The rooms were a bit drafty, but overall we stayed warm.
the initial room was very small not musch more than a bed in a room but we asked to be moved and moved to a corner room which was lovely.
location and pleasant staff, especially doormen and baggage man. position for walking around manhattan is great as is access to subway. unfortunately not enough hours in the day to make the most of the hotel facilities, but what we did see or use looked good.
Staff was os great and helpfully.
Excellent Staff, rooms airconditioned, very comfortable
very close and convenient to go to the city
thin walls as i always here people from other room early in the morning
The location was good, easy walk to all major attractions.
The room was small but we expected that, the A/C in the room was quite noisy and our room wasnt cleaned on a daily basis.
It was a clean and very comfortable room. The hotel staff were very helpfull and friendly. It was close to many attractions in Midtown Manhattan and there were plenty of great restaurants near by.
Close to the un. They were very professionals.
Not nice bar or restaurant, either business centre
Location Midtown (42nd Street)
No free Wifi
Location. Quiet room (once I had moved from the first one overlooking 42nd Street) Coffee making facilities - especially good quality coffee.
It was expensive for the standard and size of the room. The room was not cleaned thoroughly (on Saturday, I found cookie crumbs under the bed, which I had not dropped and had not been cleaned up, although I had been in the room since Tuesday). Decor of both rooms (1002 and 619) was poor. The sink unit in 1002 had been very badly repaired and in 619 the wall and ceiling paper was peeling off and looked dirty. I stayed in the hotel 2 years ago and thought it was excellent; unfortunately it seemed to have deteriorated dramatically since then.
