Room was very nice, plenty of room. Had a great cook to order complementry breakfast.
Our stay was perfect. Staff was awesome. Hotel was very clean!!!
Very nice room, best hotel breakfast in a long time, fireplace! all for a good price.
Very well built. This hotel even located by a very busy highway, it's still very quite. The patio area seems relaxing! I recommend.
Nice new and very comfortable.
I love the memory foam mattress' every time I go that's the best thing. The Breakfast Is ALWAYS GOOD AND Very filling. I love the ayres hotels I usually try and stay at all of them this tI me though the cleaning crew bothered more than usual. 3 x's they came to my room after the first time I had told the ladies they could come back when I get ready to check out that I would be checking out by 11:45. I was taking a nap and they continued to knock.
The quality and spaciousness of rooms; energy saving design; pool and spa; breakfast Breakfast area crowded and chairs, while comfortable, where too big for the tables; received only additional bar of soap during 7 day stay; toilet paper rough; pool towels not replenished or very small.
The room need to be more clean
Room with fireplace! Very rustic, but in a good way. I'll definitely return. Only enough hot water for one shower, but the spa made up for that.
The lobby was quaint and kept very clean. We really liked the coffee it was delicious! The maintenance man was very friendly and always said hi to us and greeted my kids. The upkeep of the resort was impecable. Very friendly staff. Private beach. Didn't like that there was a main st. dividing the resort to get to lobby. Didn't like not knowing you had to leave a $100 deposit for "incidentals". Didn't like the dark spots on the roof of the shower / ceiling.
Absolutely beautiful and a great area with tons to do around. N/A
I vacation Big Bear approximately 10 times a year and Best Western had somewhat decent price at the time. PLEASE, don't let that fool you. Nothing good about this place. For the most part it looked as if housekeeping is doing their job. When I checked in they couldn't find my reservation which was fine. After 30 min they finally locate it under a different name which was odd. Management (lady with an accent) at the front desk was very unfriendly and told me that NOT maybe but " I made a reservation elsewhere " they put us in a room where the fire place wasn't working and the wall boarders was basically coming off the wall which was a hazard for my toddler. The heater is controlled by hotel, basically a switch you have to shut on and off very often. At check out they told me there was a charge which I shouldnt have had any, AGAIN I was a different person in there books, very odd. I waited about 30 min before they figured it out. Much better hotels out there. Trust me! Spend that extra $5-$10.
Very close to Bear Mountain. Lovely holiday decorations in the lobby. Big, comfy bed. Check in at 4pm. Whole place has old lady, perfume scent. Shower didnt drain properly. Dining area too crowded and understaffed. Very likely you won't get any breakfast.
It's convenient located, it has a nice arquitecture. The breakfast is complete and the persons very warm. the shower and the water temperature. too much escalators, ceiling too low, with central heating, you can't control the temperature. I have two rooms (one on the Jacuzzi level is cold and one on the second floor is too hot).
Location, room decor, view and breakfast. Fireplace did not work and TV had connectivity issues.
There was someone in the room they gave us. The food wasn't very good.
Clean room. And breakfast service. None
The rooms are compfy, staff at breakfast very friendly, breakfast included Women at frontdesk are not very friendly or welcoming. The hotel in the inside looks aweful, gody, outdated, okd fashioned, almost creepy with big chinese vases and tons of tacky chandaliers, horrible paint job......frightening
Staff was nice, the rooms were spacious and clean. Also the rooms were very quiet and it was easy to fall asleep. The room had a gas fireplace which was a nice surprise. The included morning breakfast was good, great selection and the service was good. The only negative was the bed was very very firm bordering on hard
Easy to find. Volleyball net available. Patio furniture included. Furniture bulky. Felt cramped although there was enough room. Old fashioned heater. Volleyballs all needed air. Jacuzzi was dirty.
Location was great. Lakeside view was superb Jacussi was not working. Room was small
Don't ever take room 214...next to linen room...wake up call at 5am and so much noise you can't go back to sleep.
live the location to the lake , room was clean and close to bear valley village. I didn't like being woken up early on my birthday because of construction
Comfortable and close to the mountain for skiing. They did have a hot tub, which would have been nice after skiing, but the snow basically made it inaccessible.
The finishing touches were excellent. Excellent remodeled bathroom. Room was comfortable. No WiFi
Pro: Perfect location, great views, fun sledding right on-site, comfortable beds, nice gas fire place, mini fridge. Con: Holes in wall, interior/finish show age, ripped towels, jacuzzi needed cleaning (a ton of sand/dirt), shower was like 4" off the tub...
The hotel was beautiful and very clean. Our room was at Forest Shores next door. We enjoyed the kitchenette that was full of dishes and silverware to use. The rest of the room was very cozy and intimate. The blankets were soft and very thick for the colder nights. We had a lake facing room in the Forest Shores portion but we were a little confused on how to get in, only to realize that the sliding glass door was the only entrance. The room was described as having a jacuzzi/shower combo but was disappointed that it was no bigger than a standard shower tub.
It was very clean, cozy and the view was amazing!
The view and the coziness, loved the fire place. The bathroom was too small and there was no microwave.
Location and view No restaurant/ bar or laundry
Good location. Eventually got a semi-decent room. First room we were given was absolutely disgusting. No molding between carpets and wall. Filthy floor. Walls looked dirty. The excuse was that it "hadn't been renovated yet". It was a disaster. They moved us to another room downstairs which was better (not great), but we had to settle for two queen beds instead of the one king we booked. Staff lacks a customer service orientation. Not rude, but not friendly either. They gave the horrible room to someone else straight away. We will probably not return, even though the location is very good.
The staff was excellent, very helpful and friendly even when busy. Our room was not only ready but the air had been turned on and it was nice and cold (almost 100 outside!). The room was huge, the bed was clean and comfortable with extra pillows. The pool was being fixed when we arrived and though it was ready for use that night it needed to be skimmed, which is understandable since it had just been out of order. The breakfast was lacking also, while there was a choice the flavor was very bland.

Staff was nice and room was perfect! No.
location and the breakfast The fridge was not working.
The staff was very helpful and friendly The hotel is dated and the carpets are stained. Otherwise it was just fine. The room and bedding seemed clean.
Loved it!! Very clean and nothing was outdated. Very close to many stores, an outlet, the venue (highland springs resort) we were attending a wedding at and the freeway! We had a great experience! One of the carts has a broken wheel, not a big deal though. And slow internet.
This hotel is great. It was very clean, the beds are comfy and the breakfast is great. The pool was dirty, but in their defense it was really windy.
Stayed in a King Bed Suite. Was very spacious, felt like an apartment living room. Bed was very soft and clean, with white comforter and sheets, very different than the usual gaudy colors of other hotels. Friendly staff & nice breakfast in the morning! It's about 30 min drive from Palm Springs, but is worth the drive when compared to the price of hotels in Palm Springs.
Great hotel! Loved the fact it had HBO and Cinemax and did not block the adult viewing at night. I was able to purchase another night at low cost, without pulling out my card again. Staff also worked with to get an earlier check in. Not much. I preferred this hotel out most of my previous hotel stays. Great job Hampton!

Nice design in rooms. Comfort was there. I wish there was more late night food options inside hotel.
It was clean. Staff was friendly. Nothing
I stayed here for 3 nights while looking for a place to move to in the area. I checked in very late and being a woman traveling alone I was hesitant to see what floor I would be on but the gentleman at the front desk put me on the secure 3rd floor without me asking so that was much appreciated. My single king room was extremely clean (even smelled great), bed was very comfortable, the breakfast had a great variety of food and drinks. Very welcoming place and for an awesome rate. Not the more picturesque location as it is in an industrial area but I had no issues with security or safety.
price, location, amenities, parking, all good.
Spacious room, would return if I need to go to the area. Complimentary breakfast was nice, good price.
Did not like the light switches, coffee pot was in a very difficult to operate, and very awkward to use in that place, good coffee. Good sleep, Good places to eat near by.
The fact that we were on a floor with access to the outside grassy area for pets was great. The kitchenette had a fridge and microwave. Nice stay. The shower could have been slightly cleaner or updated faucets.
Large rooms, good breakfast and friendly staff. But the extra that put this hotel over the top for us was their complimentary happy hour from 5:00-7:00: 2 free drinks and tacos in the cozy dining area. After being stuck in snow traffic for hours, this was just what we needed to unwind!
Location Room was tainted with cigarette smoke smell, claustrophobic, 88 degrees in hallways, AC in room was like an icebox, temperature extremes and horrible front reception rude as heck.
We arrived earlier than expected and Janice was very helpful and welcoming to accommodate us. I had stayed here before and was very pleased to come back. We Loved the room. Was well cleaned. Bed was comfortable. The room was a great size. The only thing we had a problem with was that they put us in a handicap room and the shower was extremely hard to use being as the toilet area and shower were one big open area and the was no shower curtain to divide or an easy way to use it
clean and roomy, comfy beds, near restaurants and stores. open field next to hotel full of snow for kids to play
Close to village and lake, plush clean carpet, big bathroom and closet space, flat screen tv, fireplace, wide open space right across the parking lot where we were able to play in the snow. Loved it! Will definitely return and recommend! No microwave or fridge :( pillows a little uncomfortable. even though we were one of maybe 4 occupied rooms and we were leaving on a Tuesday, they still called at 11 to remind us of check out. It's not actually a negative I guess - they were nice about it and 11 IS the listed check out time but I will always give bonus points to a place that gives free late check out!
Quiet and they allow dogs. A little shabby. Old TV.
The staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean. The ice machine was in the office and it closed at night. No fridge so bring a cooler.
Peaceful, quiet, friendly staff. Good location, view of lake! Close to all restaurants.
The room was very cozy and neat. The location was really close to the village. It would be nice if they had a mini fridge with complimentary water. The tv was small
Nice kitchen facilities in the suite with microwave, stovetop and fridge. Good location. Customer service was lacking. The front office staff made us feel like they were doing us a favor when helping us or even checking us in. There's even a sign up at the front that says something to the effect that they charge extra for bad attitudes. They didn't greet us warmly, and I even had to ask if they worked there, and they had no nametags or uniforms. They did respond and get someone to our room when we had some issues (lamp was missing a knob, there were crumbs on the sofa bed showing that the fitted sheet wasn't changed, the toilet seat was loose) and were courteous. In terms of the room, the carpet was old (they said they were planning on changing it), the bathroom facilities were very basic and old, the sofa bed is not at all comfortable despite being new (you can feel the springs), and the housekeeping staff made it abundantly clear that they do NOT clean the rooms (unless you request that they vaccuum, which we did), but that they simply make the bed if necessary and change towels. Overall, I would compare this to an old Motel 6. I would not pick this inn again--I'd upgrade to a hotel.
Great location Rude staff
down to earth
Staff seemed to be unfriendly.
LOVED the location, rate, very clean room, and incredible customer service. Internet was down, bed pillows were flat-wouldn't consider them pillows, mattresses were worn. Rooms need to be updated a little: carpet and headboards would make a drastic difference in appearance.
Great location, clean accommodations. Bed was uncomfortable.
Very friendly staff, great location. Older, refurbished rooms were very well appointed and clean. Would definately stay again. No place to hang clothes in room #69.
Great location, accessible to everything. The rooms were big enough, and spacious to walk through..located in a central location close to food places, bars, etc. They also gave is a.discount coupon for eating in the restaurant close to the place
Loved this place!! The only bad thing was the bed in our room was hard as a rock. But we still loved the room!
Loved the privacy and proximity. Off season is great, I'm sure peak ski season is completely different.
Free wifi. Room layout was weird.
Close to town. Location Bit dated, flat pillows.
The price was very affordable. Shower was very nice and the fact that it was off of Pine Knot so you didn't have to drive to go to the shops or eat. The bedding was very old and "stale" feeling. Bed was also itchy.(no bed bugs though!) there were ants in the bathroom crawling around the sink.
Great location. Super close to the lake and the village. Super friendly front desk guy!
I liked the proximity to the local bars/resturants. I went in the summer time and they didn't have any air conditioning
Locale is great Rooms are worn but cleanish Nottinghams restaurant has good happy hour bartenders rock there! One of my fav places in big bear when prices are cheap
We had two of the cottages, one for me and my husband and one for my son. Each iw equipped with a beautiful rock spa tub and fireplace. #14 was bigger, and #7 was smaller but really made you feel like you're in a cottage out in the enchanted forest. It would'nt have been surprising to see one of the Seven Dwarfs show up. There is a kitchenette area in each room. I would recommend these cottages to couples. We didn't think our bed was not super comfy, however our son thought his was fine.
Bed was very comfortable hot tub great Need more places to hang towels for hot tub use
Absolutely perfect for a get away. Quaint cottage, fireplace, cute front porch, and so close to all the shopping and restaurants. Will definitely be going back. Can't think of one thing that I would change !
I loved the whirlpool bath, courteous staff, location was great. Poor internet. Bad area for cell service (not their fault)
Loved the layout of the cottages, Friendly staff, upon entering the room I noticed how clean it was, the tub was bigger than I thought and the jets were a nice touch, bed was comfortable, I really loved the layout of the room and how the room had little homey touches my boyfriend loved the room just as much as I did I definitely plan on staying again. I loved everything about the room!
The room was spacious and clean. The desk at check in stated the A/C was not working but that if we opened the window we would be just fine. What he failed to mention is that not only was the A/C broken, but they had the heat blasting in the hallways and our tiny 4th floor window only opened about 1". when we got into the room around 9pm it was about 80 degrees and never cooled down. We were too tired to request a room change. In the future we will request a room with a sliding glass door so in the event the A/C is broken again we can at least open the door to let some fresh air in.
Location, recent room remodel N/A
The hotel staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean, attractive, quiet, and spacious. The breakfast was robust and tasty. The landscaping was exceptional. We had bougainvilleas blooming right outside our window!
Location of my handicapped room right off the elevator Lights in bathroom on motion detector and shut off every time I was in the shower.
I stayed here with two young children when visiting family in the area. The gentleman at checkin was very friendly. He was very polite and checked us in quickly and smoothly. The pool was fun for the kids. It seemed clean and kept up. The full breakfast was good- normal for this type of hotel. Oh and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms were ok. Just felt like it needed updating. The carpets looked old and a little dirty. The fabric couch was in need of a good steam cleaning or just replacement altogether. Smelled a little musty.
The lodge was a perfect retreat for us this past weekend. It was quiet and cozy, and and the owner was delightful. I really couldn't ask for more, and we will definitely be back soon.
We loved everything about Timber Haven! Hotel Employee was so warm, welcoming and accommodating! Cabin 7 was perfect for our family of 6 and we loved the outdoor eating area, play structure and the paddle ball. Breakfast was perfect--nice to take back to If we have to say something, we wished there were screens on a few windows so we could cool down the cabin without adding some friendly bugs but that is so minor :)
The owner was very nice and very accomdating. Nothing
Room was very clean. Nice modern decor. Great location, close to the slopes and village area. Dave was great. Will definitely stay there again next time I go to Big Bear.
It was a very nice, private room that was close enough to most everything it's within walking distance. The man who came to check us in was very nice, seemed willing to make most anything happen to make us more comfortable. Definitely recommend you bring your own pillow and possibly top sheet. The beds are "European style" meaning there's two smaller, rectangular comforters and no top sheet. Not bad, just a recommendation. One thing they don't tell you on here is you have to wait for the guy to show up at the location since there's no front desk on-site. But it was very easy to coordinate. Just plan to be there around the exact check-in time, or a little later.
found hotel to be well maintained and clean, enjoyed free breakfast, staff was very friendly and professional. have stayed at the hotel twice and will stay again.
We loved this hotel ! The rooms are brand new and we loved the pool. Breakfast was great with so much variety; the staff could not have been more helpful. We will be back
Just Passing through and stayed two days. Loved it close to the Outlets and the Casino.
My stay was very nice and comfortable, affordable , and clean
I got caught in bad freeway traffic in San Diego driving up, called to confirm/hold my reservation, and the guy, who couldn't have been nicer, said, 'Take your time, sir, you room will be ready when you get here.' Just off the 10 freeway, this HI is clean, orderly, and the room was v. clean and odorless. Pretty quiet place with a little residual highway noise, but all the lodging along this corridor is close to the freeway. There was plenty of food in the morning, beginning 6 a.m., fairly usual continental fare--bagels, yogurt, muffins, sausage, good coffee and vat of scrambled eggs (though the eggs seemed of the instant variety though not terrible). I'd stay here again.
Good price, location, new hotel. We had an issue occur that the hotel couldn't accommodate, so they called a sister hotel down the road a bit that worked out. They also helped us get our refund thru an outside vendor. So kudos for going the extra mile. I would give them a try again based on there efforts. Will have to drive a Little to find good restaurants.
The hotel is beautifully made up. The staff was so helpful and went above and beyond their call of duty, one in particular 'Chris' at the front desk...
the purpose of our trip, specifically a concert. Less than 10mins away from the outlets and the Casino. Easy in/out access to the freeway. Fairly new hotel. Very clean. Amble space in the rooms. The AC was very quite. Only draw back would be the showers that are somewhat loud. Far away enough from the freeway where noise isn't an issue. Few places to eat around the hotel, but if you're going for the Casino, you probably already ate there. There are some chan restaurants further up the street towards the casino. Great choice. Would definately stay here again.
It's not the greatest stay but worth the price I think. Stayed on the first floor, the bed was sunken on the side closest to the window. But the room was clean. I couldn't really see out of the windows due to the frosting over from being dirty outside. The breakfast was good. Pancakes, biscuit and gravy and instant scrambled eggs/omelettes. Yogurts in the fridge.
Everything is lovely about this hotel... The general manager (DC) was a true delight, and made my husband and I stay perfect!! Lovely clean rooms, exceptional service, and great breakfast. We will be back!!
Redlands Dynasty suites is clean inside and out. we especially like the plant growth. it adds to the comfort and beauty of the facility. thank you for your great service. cost worth it. Big rig took multiple parking spaces, 6-5-09
Everything was great. Was given a nice greeting for check in. The girl checked me in 30minutes before check in time started which was nice. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Would recommend That I didn't stay there for longer
They have done a fantastic job transforming an old motel into the perfect place to stay, whether in the area for business or pleasure. The rooms were very nicely appointed, including cedar wood planks in the closet. There are nice and rare additions, including free water bottles in the room, fresh fruit available in the lobby, and tea, coffee, and hot chocolate available 24 hours per day. The free wireless worked great, which is not always the case with free hotel Wi-Fi. There is a small, but nice outdoor pool and hot tub area which includes two dry saunas. The only negative is the breakfast area: It is too small. But that's a very small thing indeed compared with the positives of this place.
The room was small, i didnt sleep well because there were no AC so it was too hot even with the window open. In the morning it was so noisy between the people leaving and the cart of cleaning people. I could hear the door from next room. I wouldn't recommend this hotel even though it's a cute hotel with a great service and facilities.
I have stayed here twice on week long trips and they always have the best price in the area. They also ahve the best environment. It feels like a little private paradise.
The beds, how they had a sauna, and a jucuzzi.
comfortable spacious room; helpful staff printed out map for me to travel to restaurant; had all of the amenities important to us.
They supplied a crib that was not just a pack-n-play. The fake fireplace was nice. And I liked being able to wash my cloths before we left. The rooms were small and the over furnished, making things very cramped to put a suitcase or a crib. Yes, they supplied a crib, but they didn't have any actual bedding for it. They just gave us queen sized sheets, with matching size blanket and mattress pad, and full sized pillows. If your going to offer a crib, you should at least have accompanieing sheets for it, and leave the pillow out, it's not good to have in a crib anyway. There were two sets of knobs in the shower, which was weird and confusing. I also hated the despencers for shampoo and soap inside the shower and over the sink, it felt cheap, like I was showering at a gym. And I actually disliked the Tempur-pedic mattress, which I was really looking forward to sleeping on. The mattress seemed to sink too much and create and unsupportive uncomfortable divot that was hard to move around in. The foam mattress was also uncomfortably warm, it felt stuffy to sleep on. It was a big disappointment for the high price.
temperpedic beds!! so comfy! the ivy covered courtyard was so charming. a very nice room and great price! a little tricky to get to from the 210 freeway but with gps no problem really.
It is exactly what you see on the pictures before you book the room. I wish it was a pet friendly place.
I like The separate cabins they were small but very cozy and comfortable everything was pretty clean staff was real nice. The bed was uncomfortable and the shower head had too much pressure.
The jaccuzzi tub was great. The room was well decorated and cozy The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Its a short walk to the Village. Even though our cabin was one of the back units you can hear the traffic noise
