You can see they put thought and effort into the decor. The beds were very comfortable.. The staff was very helpful and it was obvious they care about what they do. We especially appreciated help from Lori at the front desk. She got us information about an event in Milwaukee and then found a detailed map of that area, showing one-way roads. She was even able to tell us how much parking was going to cost. The hotel is a great value. We would definitely stay there again.
Clean, spacious room. VERY friendly staff!
Clean, friendly staff. Resturant food was expensive and ok.

Staff was very friendly. Room was clean, comfortable, with a refrigerator and coffee maker. It has a full hot breakfast buffet and variety of choices for dinner. Free parking, easy access to freeway and restaurants. No
Nice rooms and amenities. Hotel was nice, but check-in is posted as 3pm and our room wasn't ready until 3:30pm and our itinerary said we had an adjustable bed, which we did not have.
We were in Oakdale for a wedding and the staff were very flexible with our ability to check in at late hours and they allowed us until noon the next day to check out giving us an extra hour of sleep!
The hotel clerk was very helpful and understanding of our situation and helped us out with many things. We booked the wrong hotel, but we called in advance before we booked it to see if it was the right hotel and the telemarketer said that it was. It actually wasn't the right hotel. It was 20 min out of our way.

Everyone was extremely polite and helpful. Very clean hotel!!! Considering the cost of the rooms, I think they could throw in free breakfast. Most hotels do. Too much chlorine in the pool.
Room was very clean, gorgeous hotel and the on-site underground parking was very convenient. A little steep at $14/day, but it's downtown Minneapolis so I expected that. Bed was very comfortable and the room was nicely furnished - for the size of the bed though it could have used probably two more pillows. The front desk clerk, Kate, that assisted us with check in was so friendly and helpful when we asked for restaurant and nightlife recommendations and directions. Her suggestions were spot-on! She also upgraded us to a higher floor room and gave us complimentary wifi (I believe it was somewhere around $15 a day otherwise). The pool and spa area were completely overrun with children and adults loosely supervising them. Kids were running, splashing in the spa, going in and out of the workout room... this isn't necessarily the hotel's problem, but my boyfriend and I were really looking forward to a soak in the hot tub that never happened. Also, we received a voucher for an appetizer in the lounge at check in. The night we decided to use it, my boyfriend had left his wallet in the room. When we sat at the bar, I ordered a glass of wine (I had my wallet and ID), and he ordered water, but we were told that we could not sit at the bar if he didn't have ID. He wasn't drinking, but they made us move to a table that was - quite literally - two feet farther away from the bar than we were previously. The appetizer that we received was nothing spectacular (we had the potato skins) and tasted very bland. We didn't order anything but the free app and it took almost twenty five minutes to get it. The water glasses were stained and looked a little dirty. I was not impressed with the lounge or it's staff.
Service was awesome. Valet parking was a lifesaver!
Clean comfortable Nothing
Family had a good time. Wifi is available but isn't free.
Need glasses in the room firxwater
A continental breakfast option would be great!
The cust service was nice They did not hold my bed, I had to sleep on a pullout bed in a conference room
Awesome breakfast, helpful staff, beautiful view, fantastic location Having to pay for parkingg
The location to downtown cannot be beat, blocks away from great bars and restaurants. Very clean and comfortable hotel staff was super helpful and recommendations on what to do in our down time.
Great location, convenience, and staff.
Queen beds were nice and the bathroom was big. Market in the lobby had a good variety of snacks/fruit (a bit pricey). My room didn't have a fridge, but they got one to me in less than 1/2 hour. Very nice staff! Parking right there and not too expensive ($17/day) Room took a bit to cool off, but was nice once it did. At check in I was told that since I booked through a third party (Kayak), they put a $200 hold on my credit card that I would get back. I don't travel much, so I didn't understand this. The room was already nonrefundable.
Extremely good value at $79/night! We stayed with some family so we had three rooms total and we got to be right next to each other. Very friendly and personable staff.
The room was a great space. Everything was excellent and the staff was super friendly and helpful. No hot tub.
Close to everything; our main destination was Orchestra Hall but we found ourselves near awesome restaurants and pubs. We were charged a $10 fee for an upgrade that we never requested or agreed to. When I called the receptionist was uber polite and corrected it. A very minor issue.
spacious hotel. room, lobby, dining area, etc. i like that the breakfast cost was included in the price of the room. that was a nice surprise. no hot tub.
Hotel has an amazing gym with great equipment and a full size indoor basketball course. The room service and valet was excellent, and food was good. Stayed here while Meta-Con was being hosted by the hotel and it was extremely crowded, kids seemed to be having fun but most were obnoxious, rude, and out of line. I wouldn't stay here if the hotel was hosting this event again.
The room was welcoming, larger than expected, great views. Room service was prompt and had great drink selections. The food (mushroom arancini and turkey burger) were great. Easy access to cabs to get us to our NYE destination downtown. Was unaware of the NYE party going on in the hotel, extreme security in place to even get to our room, bottle necks at elevators, loud party goers, and strange routes to get from parking to hotel because of the event. Might have chosen another hotel if we had known.
A great stay for work. Easy walk to the convention center. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and functional. Very comfortable.
Fantastic service, great staff, beautiful lobby. Very comfortable bed. Rooms were quiet and restful. Some of the furniture was a little beat-up, though not very bad. Room was a little dark; would have appreciated one more lamp.
The room was comfortable and close to restaurants and other downtown activities. One big negative was the last minute change from 2 queen beds to one king and "Pull-out" queen. The pull-out was too small and uncomfortable. When I asked about the change, I was told that I booked with third party agent. This came across very negative. I booked a room with two beds and it was changed to one bed and a pull-out. Bad business!!
-Club floor ($30 extra per night provides continental breakfast and dinner hors d'oeuvres) -Comfortable beds -Nice view -Affordable parking with in/out priviliges -More food options during continental breakfast
I liked the decor. The vibe was fun and youthful. The room was decorated nice. Asked for a room with a view and got the 5th floor. Wanted something a bit higher in a 28 story building.
Rooms were excellent! Very clean. Bedding very comfortable.
Friendly staff, swank bar in the lobby and on the 27th floor. Free trip up to the museum and observation deck on floor 30 Awful view of the HVAC equipment for the restaurant below. Smallest room on the second floor.
If Tom Haverford from Parks and Rec made a hotel, this would be it. A bit over the top in a few ways, but you love it all the same.
Everything was wonderful
Great atmosphere & friendly staff. Great view of Minneapolis & location was convenient with great dining nearby. People on the floor were loud & the room we had (a corner room - 2012) allowed all sound through the walls. We could hear every door opening / closing & noise from the hall. Cannot recommend for weekend unless you do not plan to go to bed until after 2 am
The modernization of such a iconic building to such a high standard of luxury! The staff was encredibly acommidating during my visit! Nothing
Location is great! Cool view. Good historical place. Easy to walk to places you want to go. No in-room coffee. I know - details, but....
Steeped in history, yet brought to modern standards. The shower stall was great, and the photo booth in the lobby was really great to get some shots once we got all dressed for the party. Keys Cafe is right next door for breakfast.
Nice lobby and lounge area. Convenient restaurants either in the same building or walking distance. Museum/ observation balcony. Our room had poor lighting, furniture had scatches and chips. Paint on wall was cracked in the bathroom. The lounge turns into a club at night with lots of drinking, it's very loud. We had a hard time sleeping due to the number of drunk people there. We had to bring ID to be in the lounge and the bouncers were really rude.
Great location, steps away from anything worth doing in Minneapolis. Friendly, helpful staff and a cool atmosphere. Keys cafe and Manny's are both downstairs. Stayed in what they call a cool corner room, so there was a decent view. For a place that considers itself an ultra-cool luxury hotel, it was disappointing. Pretty basic room (bed, desk, TV, etc), but burnt out lightbulbs, chipped mirror, pealing paint, our floor (10th) smelled like a deep fryer, and everything costs extra (e.g. Wi-Fi is $13/day). After paying so much for the room, I expected better.
Pool, fitness center, friendly staff. Comfortable beds and clean bathroom. Finally asked to change rooms on the first night because the noise from other guests on the floor woke me up several times. The hotel staff was accommodating, although the manager seemed not to believe there was actually a problem ("I walked up here myself and couldn't hear it") but they moved me to a room that was extremely quiet.
The room was beautiful, staff was very friendly. There was ALOT of parking available and had some good restaurants nearby. The pool being so open was odd, and the hotel was further away from the mall of America than we had anticipated. It is an easy drive (on the freeway) once we got used to the traffic.
Staff and facilities were nice. Hot tub was almost the same temperature as the pool. There were also too many young kids in the hot tub
The attempt at modern decor was very attractive. The pool was freezing, there was never any towels - the room doesn't have a fridge or microwave; which would be handy with small children for snacks and such. Our ice machine was broken - had to travel up a floor to use theirs and the double beds Do Not accomodate 2 adults comfortably....
It's location and beds and the friendly staff How old the facilities and how dated it looks
Staff were very friendly. Room was very clean and quiet, even with a loud conference in the hotel downstairs. Bed was very comfortable! Only complaints were with the not-so-hot hot tub in the pool area and generally difficulty finding close parking. Will definitely be back... Especially for the price!
I like all Hilton cause I'm a member and I appreciate the staff most of all the times the hotel are super clean and Comfortable that why I only stay in Hilton We had to get up earlier and there was a baby crying all night next to us and the couple was fighting and in the morning and I try to speak to the staff in the morning and they really said it's only the luck of the draw and I thought that was kind of disrespectful and when we called again to talk to a manager he left voicemails and have not heard nothing back yet so I hope we hear back from the manager because I know every complain but this time I had to say something and I thought maybe they would've done something for us but nothing was done
I liked how everything was in the hotel. I didn't like that there was no free breakfast. You would think I big hotel would have free breakfast.
Bar prices and breakfasts was too expensive
Very friendly and helpful staff! Clean comfortable spacious rooms for the entire family. We will definitely be keeping track of this hotel for our next trip. Thank you
Rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. Our family loved the pool area and hot tub. Great location in relation to many popular attractions. Room did not have a microwave or refrigerator.
Great clean and awesome beds None
I liked it that even though I booked the reservation online and they had no record of my reservation when I checked in, they found a room for us and upgraded us for a minimal charge. They were very accommodating and apologetic.
We went there for a bachelorette party - The front desk was able to get us in for early check in so we could decorate the room, and the customer service was OUTSTANDING. Hotel is beautiful - Will definitely book again
The new rooms were beautiful and big! Very European. I Liked the new design and layout. Bathroom was fun to try since it would be impractical in one's own house! Decor and colors were soothing! The chair in the new room was not very cozy and comfortable. Something softer would be great. Also, the towels are a long way in a cold room from the shower. It would be great if there could be one of those towel warming racks on a nearby wall. Maybe at the other end of the tub - it would be closer!
Staff was friendly and helpful. We had breakfast at the restaurant and it was excellent!
Nice rooms with modern fixtures. My favorite was the lighting in the bathroom Parking was TERRIBLE. I was not notified of parking arrangements for guests during check-in
Location, staff, quiet Room starting to look worn. Bedside lamp needed new bulb. In room coffee maker full of scale deposits and would not heat properly. Maids cart parked in our hallway overnight in front of open service room door. Many carpet stains.
Design, very comfy bed, wonderful bathroom, great room service No in-room movies (contrary to advertisement), Internet was down whole first night (also contrary to advertising), maids come into the room early despite the "do not disturb" sign...multiple times both days we stayed, front desk help was apathetic and snarky.
The room was clean, modern and pleasant. The amenities current and thoughtful. There seemed to be a lot of noise that traveled into our room from the hall (loud laughter from a group roaming the halls at 3AM) and I could hear the unanswered alarm going off for an hour in the neighboring room. We were in room # 717.
A modern contemporary room. Comfortable, stylish and right downtown. We walked to events and resturaunts during our stay.
Modern. Great hip design Was all good
The staff were helpful in upgrading our accommodations after we expressed disappointment with the room we booked. (See below) The hotel is misleading in what it advertises as a "junior suite" for which they charge $50 extra per night. It is not a suite. It is just a large room. And it's not even good extra space. Just an oversized entry way and an extra strip of space between the bed and TV. Also, when i booked, there was no mention that the room didn't have a window to the outdoors; just an atrium view. Definitely not worth paying for. But the staff was kind enough to get us a better room. Apparently they've heard this complaint before. My biggest complaint is with Kayak/Orbitz customer service. The first person I called was helpful, but got disconnected. The second argued with me and then refused to escalate me to his manager. Instead he tried to transfer me to the hotel, but nobody answered. I called back again and asked for a manager at Orbitz, but nobody answered there either. I wanted to reward Kayak with the booking since I used their service to find the hotel, but I will never book via Kayak again after that atrocious customer service.
Loved the location, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of towels provided and the complimentary water was a nice little bonus. Bed was very comfortable. The shower did not seem clean, there were mildew stains and lots of hair. There was some minor damage to the walls. Not as "luxurious" as I had expected.
Everything was fine until I got home found a bunch spam requesting how every goddamn thing about my trip was. Fucking *unsubscribe*
The room was very clean. The valet parking employee was extremely sassy and rude towards us!
Beautiful lobby and rooms. Internet per night was not included, nightly valet fee's, complimentary breakfast was not complimentary. Restaurant/bar closed early on the weekends.
From check in to check out the service was great! Our room was very spacious and clean.
I was told I couldn't check in therefore waisted $130 to sit at a library for 5hrs and never got a chance to see a room
The bed was super comfy, and the staff were really nice and helpful. It is a beautiful hotel with a lot of character in it's design and it feels really safe and quiet overall. I enjoyed my stay. There was an earring in our shower which made me question whether or not they had cleaned it.
The location was great The room was very small, we were told we would get a roll away that never came, so one of us had to sleep on the floor ! When we complained they said they couldn't discount the room as an apology due to the fact we booked through a booking service. Huge disappointment to an otherwise great trip to Minneapolis !
Comfortable bed and restraunt was good. Had to pay for internet. Parked across the street in a parking structure recommended by hotel and couldn't get to my car in the morning. Some of the staff kind of rude.
Great rooms. Very comfortable and quiet hotel. Unfortunately I was charged $14 for logging on to the Internet for about 1 minute but other than that my stay was great.
I was surprised that wifi wasn't included, and then very surprised that one day of wifi costs 14 dollars. Free wifi seems common enough these days that the hotel ought to call out "no free wifi" a little more obviously in search results and listings on travel sites. It's frustrating to pay for a room and then feel nickel-and-dimed once you check in.
Very centralized location, easy to access, reasonable parking. Staff was very helpful - extended my stay by one night after booking through third party, and they honored the online price for the additional night. Impressive.
Clean, quiet and comfortable hotel. Expensive to park, if you are driving.
Near every fun thing I N downtown Mpls. Parking
Very modern and clean. Very comfortable beds. Great location to be able to walk around to downtown locations. Parking was expensive especially for a one day stay.
Very nice and comfortable. Rooms were inviting and home like Our room had some things left behind in the dresser that weren't to appealing.
I just loved this hotel it is close to everything. A convenient walk from the light rail and Nicollet mall
The lobby and restaurant are in a beautiful old bank building that has been restored. The rooms are modern and clean.
Hotel was clean. Workout facility and swimming pool was great, but I do agree with other reviewers that the chlorine made my eyes sting. Location was great. We pulled up and the valet told us of a parking ramp attached to the sky way that offered cheaper parking! So kind of him and it saved us $20. We could hear normal conversation through the walls and ALL the hallway noise. I have had quieter rooms at a "non-luxury hotel". This hotel promotes itself as luxury hotel, but we have stayed at Hampton Inns that were so much quieter. I honestly prefer the Hampton Inn over this hotel.
Staff was friendly. Bar staff was fun. Convenient location. The cost if the hotel was great until you realize that parking is not included. Valet is $40+. Most offer thato with no extra cost or a much smaller fee. Parked on my own to avoid that, and it was still $20 overnight fee.
Convenient location, right next to the light rail makes it easy to get to and from airport, mall of America. Right downtown near the stadiums and great restaurants. NA
The room was decent and clean. Fairly close to downtown Minneapolis attractions. $200 extra held upon check-in for "incidentals". Parking is extra $. Fees upon fees upon fees for everything you can think of. Don't even bother with room service.
We were in town to attend a Twins baseball game, so this was a perfect location to walk to the ballpark. It's also close to a lot of great restaurants and other downtown activities. We came back to the hotel for nightcap and the bar had already closed down. Other than leaving the property, we didn't have another option. It wasn't even midnight on a Thursday night. Seemed odd for a downtown hotel.
Comfortable bed and clean room The TV and most of the lights didn't work. I called the front desk twice and both times they said they were sending a tech to fix it. No one showed up. I then walked down to the front desk and asked, they said there were sending someone up. No one every showed up. Had to watch football game at the bar.
Great value for money (<$100 per night) given the AirBNB alternatives. Lunch and breakfast spots are a 5-15 minutes walk, which may or may not be a lot. The heater issues seemed to be addressed by instructions on the Front Desk. Would come back given the price. There is construction going on in the larger area affecting multiple properties but not really a lot. That said, it seems things are a bit slower.
I liked being able to check in early. The hotel desk staff was very friendly and accomidating. I requesting a single bed but was given a double. When I called to change rooms there was no hassle and a bell hop (also very friendly) came to our room to switch keys with us. The shower water took around 3-5 min to turn up in temperature. I felt like I was just wasting water for it to become semi-warm. Also I went down to use the sauna and it was cold. It took about 30 min for it to become semi-warm as well.
Great service from the minute we walked in the door! It was our 9 anniversary and they wine and dined us till we left. Nothing
We stayed with several other Families and had a great time. All the hotel facilities are newer, clean and functional. No problems at all.
Lounge, Workout Facility, Sauna, and Quiet Room.
Proximity to Nicollette Mall Temperature was freezing in meeting rooms, common areas
Great location close to the metro. Staff was very helpful and nice. Check in and check out was very quick and easy. Bathroom had no fan and the sliding door wouldn't stay closed all the way. Minor problem though the room was very modern and comfortable.
They were friendly and extremely helpful and accommodating. I was there for a week and they were on top of my needs and requests.
Charged extra for everthing rude front desk people Staff attitude
My room was very quiet, staff was friendly, exciting location downtown close to fun bars, covered parking, hotel is less expensive than other downtown hotels, and I needed a wine bottle opener and was given one at no charge.
A wonderful, well kept, well situation hotel in downtown Minneapolis. If you are looking for a nice place to rest without spending too much, this place is for you. Not much negative to say! There was a slight tear in the one sheet on my bed. WiFi costs money here. Im really getting nit picky put Kayak says I have to use 100 characters!
The rooms were very small. It seemed that the room had not been dusted in quite sometime. The temp was almost 80 when we checked in. We had to call for someone to come check. It turned out that we were unable to adjust the temp for the entire stay!!!!! Upon check out we discovered that they had charged us for an extra day of parking. It was taken care of but employee not to happy to do it. I would never ever stay here again and would never recommend it to anyone!!!!!!!! Also apple products do not work in the room.
Excellent location! Good service. Fun and relaxed atmosphere.
The uniqueness of the hotel. Has it's own look - very different than the typical Marriott, Hyatt, etc. Nothing is included! You are charged for every little thing on top of the already over inflated price.
It was a great location for our needs - the staff were very helpful and friendly There were a number of simple mix-ups in billing - not getting the room we booked - having to move rooms a number of times, but staff worked hard to rectify.
Clean, nice facility, excellent staff interaction, good restaurant and adjoining Starbucks. Great location on U of M campus allowed easy walk across to West Bank.
The shower is amazing! Comfortable beds. All of the staff was VERY friendly and helpful. Free shuttle. I was charged $256 per night for the same room that costed $120 in May of this year. Parking is $15 per night. I called days ahead asking for a certain view, didn't happen.
The location was ideal since we were in down for a football game and the stadium was only 2 blocks away. Rooms were spacious. I liked the in room coffee, The electric plug ins were hard to use. Half of them would not let you plug anything into them. I found the beds to be hard and the pillows way to soft.
Room was dirty. The cosmetic comforter had a blood stain (or something that looked like blood). Bellhop answered the phone every 1/3 times. Shuttle ride to conference center was very stuffy, hot.
location to the UMN. Friendly staff. no full size mirror in the in room or bath Funky bathroom with sink, mirror in the corner. the shower head did not stay in place. no mini refrigerator. nickel and dime you for little extras.
Sophisticated Get beds The staff was super friendly The fee for parking
The staff, from the second we walked in to the moment we left were helpful, welcoming and friendly. Very accommodating. They more than made up for the physical flaws and turned the stay from a begrudged expense to a pleasant experience. There was a mistake in our room (probably my fault) and the desk goddess quickly, cheerfully, and effortlessly changed us to a room that suited our needs. For the price we paid I was appalled at the condition of the carpeting; stained beyond belief, worn, frayed. Frankly it was shocking. I know, a dumb thing to be shocked at but it was that bad. The ice machines didn't work on several floors. Parking was ridiculous; we had to pay for it and still couldn't park in the hotel lot, necessitating extra hassle on our parts. It is my understanding that there were some events going on that night (weddings, I'm guessing) that filled up the hotel lot but it seems to me it would be more equitable for those attendees to park in the parking garage rather than sending the overnight guests to the parking garage across the street.
We were told where to park with our fee. As we returned from our outing, there was a tow sticker on our car. How disheartening to travel 6 hours to visit family in the hospital and yet another 2 hour trip after that. What if our car had been towed? Would we have gotten to the hospital to see family or make it to work on time the next day?
We liked the location. Lobby is wonderfully furnished. Food at the Beacons was mediocre at best. We ordered $11.00 glasses of wine for 4 adults and the waitress said they must be served in plastic before college game. We looked around and other people were being served with glass glasses. I requested to have ours repoured into glass and she refused. Even after the game when we once more came in, they served us with plastic and others with glass. We left after one round of 4. We will not be returning to the Beacon pre or post game in the future.
Nice staff, bigger room, city views, location, nice bathroom The double beds are extremely small! The shower doesn't seal so floor was wet after shower. No bath.
Location is great close to Target field and Target Center. AC in the room was terrible room was hot and uncomfortable.
Parking is inconvenient
The staff was incredibly helpful and polite. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Was fun being able to stay in downtown minneapolis within walking distance of anything you want to do for nightlife. Can't think of anything negative.
Nice room for the money. Close to good restaurants.
Great location. Skyway and downtown stores & restaurants super convenient. Clean, light and airy. Giant windows. Great beds. Shower leaked and cupboard door fell off despite being fixed once. I was never told the price of parking. Last year it was free. This year it was $22 a day. Would have like to have known. High cost for in room Internet.
Beautiful, comfortable rooms with amazing city views. The breakfast suite had beautiful views as well. Room service was extremely fast. Parking fee, even though the website said included. Breakfast needed far more selection. Minor complaint: Would be helpful if the room had USB charging ports for cell phones. Most hotels include ports in their lamps or alarm clocks.
Great views, nice room. Room windows were drafty, hotel staff seemed generally clueless about their own hotel.
Staff was friendly Clogged sink/then toilet clogged and that wasn't fixed for 12 hours /tv didn't work/glasses not replaced/towels had stains/no fridge where fridge was meant to be/ no offer to move us or compensate us for inconvenience
Staff, location, room Broken sink
The room was nice. Good desk, big tv, mini bar and really nice bathroom. Bed was ok. The view was just of the building across the way. No pool for guests.
Great view Great location Very quiet Clean It was probably 60 degrees in the room. The thermostat did not work. They ended up giving us a small space heater, which was hardly sufficient. If you can imagine, when you are miserably cold it's difficult to enjoy anything.
Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable, clean room Confusing parking arrangement
Long walk from parking garage
Felt fancy, drove up in my muddy f250, looked at this crazy redneck like I was out of place. Had them valet that sucker right on the spot, smiles and friendliness (easy and fast) "that what she said" , had a greeter summon an elevator and direct me to the 5th floor, jammed to some dope elevator tunes. Got to the front desk, a little backed up , the fancy fancy platinum members line was bone dry, guess I wasn't that special. Cutie behind the counter was polite and humorous. (Received the cards) bam elevators, bam at my door on the tenth floor, bam key swiped, and then..... You got to set your expectations on size low, Immediately my buddy had to rub in my face "way to go on getting the smallest room bruh" I replied "ST@#" started getting ready for our concert, I then call the frount desk and ask for one of them rolly beds, "yes sir we will send it right up" bam problem adverted, took an hr to get all ready (bruh was being a pre- donna ) still no bed, phhh we gots to go so they will come drop it off , so we leave ( fast forward through all the dark/IPA non hipster beer fest, eye melting, ear penetrating, mind blowing sounds of senses fail/sum41 and post game pizza at louches) drunk walk back from all that madness, get to the lobby and apparently Vinilla Ice Ice baby is staying there to and had all his groupies waiting down there for them, a couple girls come up to my buddy and ask "do you know which room he is in?" That playa was all like " yeah follow us we just ran to get Ice his "stuff" " up the elevator and to the door *fist bump* open the door......just the small room, 1 bed (no roll out) SMH. Called front desk again "sorry we are completely out" nooooo! I called shotgun so I was legit, buddy froze on the floor, at 3, 5, 8 am sounded like someone was banging on our door, royaly pissed me off, (no one was even there!?) after the second knock and my friend slowly dieing of hypothermia we called and asked them to send up pillows and blankets, got them , bro was no longer a popsicle. Woke up called the manager/ now we all good, I would totally stay here again when I'm downtown!! For realzies!
Walking distance to a lot of attractions. Very friendly and helpful staff
staff was great overall clean bathroom stink long way from parking garage
Convenient location, friendly staff, clean, quiet room. Overpriced for the size of the room, which was fine because we weren't in it much, but it really was tiny. Great view, comfortable bar/lounge area and great spot for walking downtown. Garth Brooks
It's just not worth what they charge. Front desk operations has nice people but not wait lines are long. Noisy and hard to sleep. Beds need to be replaced.
This hotel was very nice I would stay here again. My only complaint is that we went with a group of friends and had multiple rooms. We showed up an hour early for check in and they told us our rooms weren't ready. That's fine, I knew we were early. But the receptionist said I will have your rooms ready in 45min we are getting them all by each other. So I asked if they had a place for bags (we only had 4 small ones) She said the room was full. So we had to walk them all the way back to our car in the ramp. We then came back 45 min later. We felt with a different receptionist who said if we wanted to wait another 30 min he could get our rooms all by each other. We were there for an event and already running late. So we opted to just get 4 rooms anywhere (we thought that's why we were waiting the 45min first of all to get rooms by each other) I also noted they had taken other people's bags into another storage room and had people bags behind the reception desk....
Great spot, right next to everything and has a nice ride just outside if you need to get anywhere else downtown. Can walk to just about anywhere from here. Beds were very hard, my back killed the next morning. Put a pillow under you knees at night and you'll probably be ok.
Great location by baseball and basketball arenas! Nice breakfast each morning that is open late.
Service was excellent, friendly staff! We have a 7 month old so a microwave would of helped us with heating up her formula. Microwaves were not available to us.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. My room alarm went off at midnight. Preprogrammed. I did not check it or set it before bedtime.
Clean, friendly staff, decent restaurant attached, walking distance to other fun places. In room amenities were in the lower side compared to other hotels in this category.
Gym Facilities are good. The hotel is close to all main attractions, so you just need to walk around it.
The proximity to downtown and shopping was good Parking a rental car was expensive
How nice the hotel was and how comfortable as well. Front desk was very attentive and always took care of my needs! Expensive parking. Also there was a large hair in the bathtub when we arrived. I was supposedly right next to the "loud" elevator but did not hear it once! Overall a very nice stay.
Man at the front desk was very nice and professional. Location and security of building was also great. Houskeeping used our personal bathroom and left their feces in the toilet. Was going to tell front desk but slipped my mind at check out. I dont want this person fired but I do agree this is incredibly unacceptable.
Water in the room would be nice
The front desk was very attentive. My "loud" neighbors who I couldn't even hear were getting a noise violation, but it wasn't the neighbors who woke me up, it was the guard knocking on their door. I was quite unhappy with that guard. We were in a secluded area of the hallway, but it wasn't the neighbors who woke me up, it was the security guard. The extra fees---parking.
Location and the door man. The room is a little run down. Towels are old. Tissue was not soft at all.
Very clean and very helpful . Enjoyed our stay
It was clean and quiet. The staff was courteous and kind. The parking ramp was convenient but very cramped for a Yukon.
The hotel was clean and the rooms were a good size with comfy furniture. The staff very friendly and always willing to help you out. Either by recommending places to eat, calling you a cab, or by doing anything else to make your stay enjoyable :) Also they had good happy hour prices and serve food 24/7! So apparently the hotel only "naturally" cools their rooms in winter and our room was very warm and there is no way to cool your room down then so we roasted the whole time we were there :( Also the fact that you have to take 2 sets of elevators to get in and out of the hotel was kinda inconvenient.
Huge room, nice lobby, great location, and tasty breakfast. Hotel sites indicate the hotel has parking, but do not say that it costs an extra $20 per day. "Parking" should mean "Free Parking". Also, some parking spots are very tricky to get in and out, even with a compact car. Breakfast gets hectic near the finishing time (9 am on weekdays); better get there early if you want to avoid a line and get some food.
The breakfast! Paying $17 for parking when I had a room! Parking should be free
Pool dos high chlorine
Staff was pleasant and helpful. Rooms spacious and clean.
When we arrived we were fist sent to a room that was not made up. We went back down to the desk and got a clean room. The general appearance of the hotel was ok. The beds were comfortable. Nothing great and nothing terrible.
Very friendly staff that wanted to make sure you were taken care of. Hotel was updated and very clean and quiet .Location was very convenient; close to train, target center, and has the attached sky walk. Early departure and complimentary breakfast was ready prior to 6:30. Did I mention the 5 star staff---very pleasant to deal with at every inquiry! Great job folks!!!! Not familiar with Hotel layout; check in is on the H floor. Parking extra, underground, and you have to switch elevators to get to your room. No meal delivery to the room; not a major issue.
Large room, included breakfast, contemporary decor Awkward structure with lobby several floors above street level. Two sets of elevators - first to get to lobby, second to rooms. Underground parking very tight
Lesley Hanson at the front desk was absolutely awesome! She took care of a of control high temp problem in one of our rooms and made us very happy with Hyatt. We usually stay at the Commons Hotel, and we loved this (and Lesley!). Getting to and from parking was a pain the rear! Did not plan for the parking fees, you need to make this more transparent in your fees.
We liked the fact that we could walk by skyway anywhere in the downtown Minneapolis area. We also enjoyed upscale amenities at an affordable price. Complimentary breakfast was included. We were late in departing the hotel one morning and we told the cleaning service to come back later but they must have forgotten because our room did not get made up. Parking is quite expensive.
great rooms, great service, great location
THe room was quite nice & a good size, breakfast delivered on time, cleaning staff particularly pleasant. There was no tub in the bathroom & no bathrobe.
My wife and children were in town to go to a Twins game. Chris at the front desk relized we were there for the twins game and moved our room so that our boys were able to see the stadium from the room. Thank you Chris and thank you Graves hotel. Nothing
The staff were extremely friendly and the atmosphere was great.
The staff was attentive & very courteous. The beds were sooo comfortable. The food was great and the bar went out of their way to meet our needs. Did I say the staff was attentive & courteous? Had a great time at the Graves 601.
Location Business center was expensive and slow. Only 1 of 2 computers actually worked.
love the location in downtown Minneapolis, and the bars and restaurants near the hotel are great. Location right off of first avenue. I think the area right next to the lobby leading up to the skyway was under construction, kinda unattractive but no big deal. I will stay here again.
Loews Minneapolis Hotel completely blew me away during my stay this past week. The skyscape view was incredible, and the hotel is perfectly positioned around a ton of awesome shops, restaurants, and venues for those who get time to explore. The front desk and Star Service staff were unbelievable. I've been to hundreds of hotels in my professional lifetime, and Loews ranks among the very best hotel experiences I've ever had. Even the valet was amazing--that's hard to find. The morning breakfast buffet was overpriced for what was offered. I'd suggest discounting the $20 buffet price for those staying in the hotel (perhaps if they're willing to charge to the room for verification).
Discreet hotel, therefore very secure. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Rooms light and airy with comfortable beds and every comfort. Best hotel that I've stayed in in Minneapolis.
Beautiful room with a wonderful view. The bed was very comfortable and amenities well stocked. Loved the jacuzzi bath tub with television built into the wall for entertainment! We will be back when staying overnight downtown Minneapolis.
Our room was nice, but the mattress on the king size bed was old and springy. Also, the previous occupant of the room had set the alarm on the ipod docking station, and we were woken up several times before we were fully awake enough to turn it off. Way to expensive for what they have to offer. Valet parkin was 30 dollars a day!
Great location when attending an event at the Excel Center.
Very friendly staff. Top-notch accommodations. Excellent location in the heart of St. Paul.
Historic elegance No
The St Paul is a wonderful hotel experience. Every detail has been attended to. You won't find a friendlier staff any where and they are very willing to help you out. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I found nothing to complain about.
Beautifully maintained historic hotel in quiet downtown St Paul. Very clean and quiet rooms Need a regular fridge and expensive snacks.
Convenience to Wilkins auditorium It was not as nice as I expected. The room was average. Bedding average hard bed.
Central location for the events and activities we attended. Expensive
Everything in the hotel is beautiful and tasteful. Our room was great, bed was comfortable, loved the robes. One of the elevators was out of order, we mostly used the service elevators to get up and down. We were not particularly impressed with the staff. They were adequate, not really cordial. Pokemon players outside at night were creepy.
Individually welcome by Front Desk staff, Manager on Duty and Maintenance personnel. A+ T.V. In bathroom nice idea. OLD CRT tube t.v. In bathroom not connected to cable, not nice.
Polite, friendly staff. The room was clean, comfortable, spacious, well appointed, and tastefully decorated with a deft combination of nostalgic old world grandeur and modern touches. The hotel is connected directly to the Minneapolis downtown skyway system. Public garage parking is available right across street (for a fee). Valet parking is, of course, available as well. Room was not available at the designated 3pm check-in time. We were on a tight schedule and needed to check in at 3pm to get ready for an event. We had to decide between trying to book another room at a different hotel or accept a different room here. We chose the later. The room we originally booked had an exterior view but the new room had an interior view of the "Atrium." Calling the dank, unlit, barren cement hole in the middle of the hotel an atrium is putting on airs, to say the least. We chose to keep the curtains closed rather than stare across the desolate blight into another guest's room a scant 15' away (and, presumably, they into ours). The bathroom sink was clogged. The timer for the mirror defogger was broken. The HBO cut in and out and was unwatchable (not a big thing for us, we didn't come to watch TV... but still). There are no coffee makers in the rooms. There is coffee in the lobby but when I went down to get some at 0830 there was no creamer left. I would have informed the desk but they were overwhelmed with guests checking out. Overall we enjoyed our stay but between not getting the room we booked, the minor annoyances with the maintenance of the room, and the lack of coffee -- a basic staple of any luxury or boutique hotel -- we don't think we would stay there again, especially when there are so many other comparable choices nearby.
Comfy bed. Extremely quiet rooms and great soundproofing. Wonderful facilities.
Comfortable bed $35 for parking
Very comfortable bed. The lighting in the bathroom.
The staff at the Grand were so nice, polite, and helpful. Room service was lovely and fast. The rooms are spacious and very tastefully decorated, and the beds are fabulously comfortable.
Everything. Amazing staff. Fabulous and luxurious room. Can't wait to visit again
A bike in the lobby you can borrow
The front desk was really great. And I liked the list of things availablr if needed. We took advantage of the Keurig. I liked the style of the hitel, pretty chic. Also, the location was awesome. I also loved that I could control the heat in the room myself. I didn't like that there was no hot tub in the pool area. When I'm paying that much for a hotel room, I expect a hot tub. The blankets weren't very warm or comfortable. I expected a cozy, luxurious room and got a nice but kind of a cold lonely feeling room.
The special touch of a card meant a lot. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Pool hours could be about 30 minutes later to accommodate travel arrivals.
I like that there are water features, glass evelators, lots of plants, and a nice dining area. Also there is a nice workout room.
Everything Issues checking in
Staff was great. Rooms were very nice. Breakfast was great too. Great value.
Needed to be close to the hospital. Daughter was very ill. Didn't know how long we needed to stay. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Would recommend this establishment. Comfortable, clean rooms. Laundry available. Food was excellent. Thank you!
Once you check in, you may not want to leave until check out. Everything under one roof is provided. We were greeted in a friendly manner. Very nice atmosphere in the lobby and center courtyard. While a free shuttle was advertised, it had been booked by a whole company for 2 hours in the early morning. a little frustrating, but the staff did suggest alternate transportation (Uber) and that did get me to where I needed to go. The opportunity to eat a complimentary light snack and beverage was appreciated after the stressful I94 drive Corky's Pub was good food at a fair price, fast and efficient wait staff. Made to Order breakfast was wonderful from 6-9 am! Wonderful Chef! PARKING $$$ While absolutely no fault of the hotel, the construction mess around the Capitol is very stressful. People drive too fast and a bit rudely. Be prepared and drive attentively. Not enough parking, It is quite expensive to park around this area.$15/day in the hotel lot for registered guests. Arrive early to get a spot.
We liked that it's close to the freeway -- easy on, easy off. And we really loved the breakfast in the morning -- so much better than a hotel's standard continental breakfast. Was a beautiful, luxurious little getaway for our little family (2 adults and a little baby).
We like to stay at the Embassy because we like the made to order breakfast and the managers reception. The rooms are large and comfortable. We will return next year! My only complaint is that they give you only one wash cloth.
Very nice hotel, large rooms, fantastic included breakfast. The only downside was the highway traffic noise, which was inescapable. Request a room that doesn't face the freeway.
Good location. Good breakfast. Nice pool. Complimentary happy hour. Hot tub wasn't hot, even for bathtub standards. Our room was next to the elevators and it was loud because of the flimsy glass doors. Parking is $15 per vehicle per night which is a huge ripoff. Wifi isn't free either.
