Cons:Prior to our arrival to Tampa, FL we placed an order to rent a car for 4 days two months ahead of our trip. When we arrived at Tampa, Payless representatives let us know that their system was down and not working. We waited around for over two hours for something to change in the system, however there was no manager on site and no one was able to take care of us. We ended up leaving without a rental car even though we had a confirmation number AND we had made this reservation so long ago. Unable to leave with the rental we signed up for, we have to pay DOUBLE the price to rent a car on site to get around the city. Overall completely horrible experience, even with a 2 month in advance booking. No managers, no knowledge of how to fix the system or how to have done ANYTHING for us. Will not be coming back to this rental service and will push friends and family away from it.
Pros:Car and price in the end were good
Cons:When I arrived they told me they didn't have any cars in the rented class (Economy) or any class for that matter - they could only give me a mini van (not very mini) unless I wanted to wait 1-2 hours (and then no guarantee) then told me a manager wasn't available then someone who's luxury car wasn't available asked if they had one (somehow no problem they said they could borrow a mustang convertible from Budget) when I asked why they couldn't borrow one for me they laughed that I had rented an economy where I told them I didn't care what I got as long as it wasn't something that the gas would cost more than the car - I had to raise my voice in order to get a manager called and approve a car that though not economy or compact was nowhere near the size of a mini van overall a stressful, frustrating experience
Cons:When we got the car, they charged additional values to the price. They told us that it was because of the insurance needed. The price went up near 100% more.
Pros:Very quick pickup. I was upgraded to a much better model when the one I requested wasn't available. Very quick dropoff.
Cons:Staff could be better trained, but they were courteous.
Cons:Got in a bit early. Agency had no other available cars. Went with another agency.
Pros:Eduardo at the MIA airport rental desk is absolutely amazing. Really nice to work with, and very focused on making sure you have a good car rental experience. Would definitely rent from this outlet again!
Cons:Car was not available when I arrived at the scheduled time, I then waited for 30 minutes and I was told 4 other people waiting and it would take at least 1 more hour
Cons:Reservation was made in advance but no car was available except for a pickup truck, which I didn't want. So no vehicle was rented from this company because they did not reserve a car for me.
Pros:Great Price
Cons:Got into Miami at midnight and Payless counter was CLOSED. Had to take a cab to hotel and return next morning to rent car - cost me an extra $70 in cab fares.
Pros:Got an excellent price on a holiday weekend and the girl that helped me at the Miami airport counter was so pleasant to work with, she not only helped us get a car even though we were two hours early she was also generally pleasant and conversational.
