Pros: Was clean and looked nice.
Cons: No information. No help had to go back and get my bags when they took it off me and pushed till they did. I asked for a ice bucket to be in my room and was confirmed by email but nothing was done still had to ask staff. Had problems with the room when I got told by staff it happens alot. At the end only got free parking even after hours were wasted from my partners birthday when we had to wait around for the problems in our room to be fixed. No information was given about breakfast time and location. Had to call up reception in the morning to ask.

Cons: Got charged a different rate to what I booked on booking.com (an extra $50) which wasn't realized straight away and it wasn't until I was checking out and I asked what the charge was on my card that I realized they had charger me too much. However, the staff were very apologetic and rectified the over charge immediately. But if I hadn't thought to check my bank charges it would of gone unnoticed.

Pros: Holiday Inn met my need as a first timer to Perth by being in the heart of CBD and accessible to most of the places as I could catch up the CAT busses just in front of the hotel . The rooms are spacious and clean. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast spread was good with many healthier choices. However quite boring with the same menu everyday. Practically during my stay, all 4 days saw the same menu.

Pros: Holiday Inn met my need as a first timer to Perth by being in the heart of CBD and accessible to most of the places as I could catch up the CAT busses just in front of the hotel . The rooms are spacious and clean. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast spread was good with many healthier choices. However quite boring with the same menu everyday. Practically during my stay, all 4 days saw the same menu.
Cons: The breakfast menu could have been diversified with few choices. The room extension rate was quite high i.e AUD50 for 2 hours. I think the hotel management should look into this as a lower rate can be offered to guest whom had stayed for couple of days and only require hourly extension.

Cons: Continental breakfast was a bit lacklustre; unseasoned and unexciting. The design of the bathroom is just awful - water ended up getting everywhere and it's such a hassle to just turn the taps off! No proper freezer Didn't get ID'd once, not even when we stumbled back into the hotel at 1am. The air con was pretty loud

Cons: In general I can recommend the hostel, but you shouldnt be too picky about bathroom cleaniness. ( depending on the other guest as bathrooms are being shared) The witch's Hat is located in a residential area. Therefore after 10 PM noise is not really wanted.

Cons: Although the hostel has several rules to ensure everybody has a comfortable stay, we found that throughout the duration of our time there there were so many people also staying who had 0 respect for the place - night time was particularly uncomfortable as some other people staying on more than one occasion were either loud, ‘stupid’ drunk and/or aggressive which was a little intimidating at times. It was nice the hostel is smaller but at the same time, the risk of hearing slamming doors throughout your stay is heavily increased. It was nice the hostel stressed their rules after a few nights of ‘heavy party behaviour’ despite the noise curfew of 10pm but we found the door slamming and group chatting in hallways at midnight continued which was a shame.

Pros: The IBIS is well located within the Perth CBD. It is a 5 minute walk to some well known fast food outlets but there are classier venues close by. One of which is the Murray Street Grill - part of the hotel - which provides a good range of meals at reasonable prices. The wait staff were particularly friendly and helpful. We used the laundry on the 6th floor - there are 2 more on other floors. These worked well. Simple to operate and washing machine and dryer were $3 each. The bathroom is a little pokey but then this is not trying to be a 5 star hotel. Rooms were well serviced everyday. The two lifts were prompt and efficient. Our included breakfast had plenty of hot and cold choices.

Cons: Our shower seal was broken so the bathroom floor quickly became saturated after showering and there seems to be ongoing problems with the elevators not working properly - staff were quick to help with the elevator issue even late at night, though.

Cons: Very old hotel! Is definitely older than it looks on the photos. The furniture was old and the beds have wheels so every time when you turn around or sit on your bed it moves, little bit annoying. The staff is not super friendly every time when we walked in to the hotel they didn’t great you(say hi or bye) when you walk pass them. Its an ok hotel if you only sleep there and be out all day.

Cons: I have stopped at this hostel a handful of times now and normally enjoy my stay, this time my room wasn’t very nice. Very small, the air conditioning was loud and rattling and the cold tap did not turn of so was dripping water all night.

Pros: this old house has a story to tell and its nice just to listen. i felt very safe and warmly welcomed. the location also is top with everything a standardtourist need reached by walking.

Pros: The location is great...top malaysian food right next door. Easy to walk to/from bus and trains, in to town. It is a cheap hotel that is clean and offers a good night sleep. Front desk staff very helpful...had an issue with the toilet and it was fixed promptly.
Cons: I have stayed before and had a much nicer room...better bed covers, nicer bathrooms. I am guessing some rooms may have been renovated where others have not? That is my only reason for lowering my score as I was more than happy last stay with the value for money and the room I got.

Pros: I liked the location, the convenience store near by and the staff were kind and helpful. A great spot to simply rest your weary head after a long day's work. The room was quite quiet also which you don't often expect in an inner city location.
