Supplier choice

Went in to get my rental vehicle and nobody was at the counter I ended up having to pay for an Uber during my trip and never received a rental vehicle from Hertz

Pros:

The manager was nice

Cons:

They put me in a car that had a recall and after waiting 45 minute to get through the line, I ended up having to back out to get another car, which was a small SUV. Very different from the luxury car that I reserved and paid for.

Pros:

I didn’t like anything. We arrived at our original airport only to find out the rental was booked at a different airport. I had to pay $100 to Uber to the Mesa airport and when I got there, they didn’t have any cars. There was a line of about 30-40 people that were all waiting for cars.

Cons:

Kayak needs to do a better job of disclosing the location of the rental place. I put in the Phoenix Sky Harbor airport. What I didn’t realize is they switched the airport to the Mesa airport. Then when we finally were able to get to the Mesa airport, there weren’t any cars.

Cons:

When i arrived, i was told they didn't have the specialty car i reserved. There were two identical ones in the parking lot and they said they were reserved for others. Not sure why my reservation wasn't valid and theirs was. They did offer another car, but it was our 30th anniversary and we had our heart set on the convertible. Fortunately, Hertz overheard us and they had one and gave us a great deal on it.

Pros:

The staff was the worst part. We won't rent from national again. Linda was awful and not just to me. She was awful to several other customers.

Cons:

The wait for the car pickup was 40 minutes even though we had a reservation.
