Nothing When we arrived it was very difficult for us to find it. We spent more than 2 hours looking for it and when we asked people for directions no one knew about it. When we finally found it, we found out that this is a house with no lift and they gave us a room on the 3rd floor, with no lift and we had to pass through loads of toys and barbie doll houses which were laying all over the place. We then decided not to stay at the hotel and asked them to cancel the booking. Maria grazia, the owner gave us a room which was not the one we booked and when I asked her why she told us that alll the other rooms are full. However when I spoke to the receptionist, she told us that we were the only people there and therefore it was not true that the room we booked was full this was a very bad experience and in fact we then had to look for another hotel where to stay. The photos on the website do not match the reality. This was our worst experience when travelling abroad.
It was a very relaxing hotel and fabulous staff
Our favourite hotel in the region. Wonderful room in an old villa, perfect service (like free internet access, very helpful staff) very nice rooms. We would recommend it immediately! The quality of the bed (mattress) could have been better. Finding a nice restaurant was not so easy.
My father thought the family was friendly and liked the historical aspect of the building. The rest of us found little to enjoy at this B&B. No A/C, 30+ yr old twin beds put together on cot stand for double bed, cold breakfast only, hard to find, no parking, noisy farm animals from 5am to midnight, teenage daughter left in charge of office during day, no shower/bath only, cleaning by maid only some days. I would not stay here again or recommend it at all.
Location was excellent, walking distance to the beach, 5 minutes from railway station, nice quiet rooms (ours #2 was very spacious), lovely terrace for breakfast (we had dinner there as well), quite large selection at breakfast (even cheese and salami), the staff was very friendly, there was cumputer you could use in the lobby (although the printer didn't work), we could use the fridge in the kitchen The coffee at breakfast was terrbile, our air conditioning got turned off so that we couldn't get it back on by ourselves a couple of times (once it was off all night long = HOT), the bathroom leaked water into the room when taking a long shower (I bet there is water damage under the floor)
Really nice place to stay, helpful and charming staff, the breakfast was delicious, the bedrooms are clean and tidy. Location is perfect (it is not 700 metres from train station :) but it is great location without a lot of tourists)
Best thing about Relais Francesca was closeness to the train station and parking - Breakkfast was a bit limiting
A very good position to train, and to bus,a good brecfast
it was small and relaxed not like a big hotel the staff were very helpful and friendly would reccomend to stay
The situation was very calm and good with a garden with parking place. Near to the railway station and near to the center of Piano. Very friendly staff.
The house is well appointed for being a B&B. The staff is very kind and the house gives very good value for money. The location is not central but it is close to the local railway (circumvesuviana). It is a good place for relaxing as it is quiet. The breakfast is not as huge as what we are used to in Central-Europe, however in Italian standards it is totally OK. The hot chocolate at the breakfast was not so good.
Very nice accommodation, this place was perfect for us, easy to go there by train, very good breakfast. The beach at Piano was a great surprise!
The rooms and the views and service The breakfast is always the same, many cakes and sweets which are not freshly prepared but prepaked.
The location was good, near a well connected train station
Ermilia was really nice, the service and the room standard was brilliant. Breakfast consisted of some lovely pastries yum yum. The views were fantastic, the only thing I would say is get a car as the buses around thia area are a bit erratic, ie. they seem to go into Piano town but don't seem to come back up for hours. The apartment was 7km away from Sorrento and 7km away from Positano, another bit of advice best taking the bus up to there as the road is horendious (mountain drop on the right of you!) but between 9-10.30 ish as the buses after that get a bit erratic and also are packed full of people, coming back the bus runs hourly. Make sure you take the number booking.com give you as she is not always there, its also outside the door.
Hotel has a big terrace to get breakfast or just sit there on the fresh air. Owner was very nice and friendly but she doesn't speak English, just few words... Air conditioning in the room. we did not use it as we have little children... It's right on the intersection. Our room was very, very small, and there were only roof windows that we could not open. Maybe other rooms are bigger. This one for my wife and our little boy was really quite small...
The owner was very friendly, the bathroom was very big, very central for the whole peninsula, an hour from Naples, Vesuvius, Pompei and only minutes from the Amalfi coast - which I personally feel is very overrated. The breakfast left a lot to be desired! De-luxe is an overstatement. Very loud - inside and out.
Great personal attention none
Historical yet elegantly furbished - in a central and historical area, still not noisy - cosy rooms - very good breakfast. Reception not always available - but lady of the house is very discreet, helpful and accommodating.
lovely room and good location for winter break
it is a wonderful building with nice rooms in the middle of Sorrento but yet quitely located the staff is not there during the day, at the end it is not a hotel but more a B&B
The hotel was in an excellent position. Only 5 minutes walk from the port and the rail and bus station, but in the centre of the old part of the town. Perfect for sight seeing, eating out and getting about. A wonderful building but guests were not able to use the outside space. Also felt the decor in the rooms was looking a little tired.
This hotel was in a great location five minutes walk from the main square. There were many restaurants, bars and shops close by. The breakfast buffet was good quality and plentiful. The room was large and nicely decorated with a large bathroom. We had a lovely stay and would recommend this hotel. no not at all really.
Large room, marble bathroom, clean towels everyday, quiet, greta location. Absolutely nothing.
Location. Quietness. HIstorical connections.
the staff were marvelous, the room is big and comfortable. the price is very cheap. the was keeped klean evryday.
cleanliness, family atmosphere and general wish by proprietors to make us comfortable, nothing too much trouble nothing wrong at all
Very friendly family running the hotel, clean and nice rooms, location off the beaten track and quiet in a small village in the hills above Sorrento. Good price/quality ratio. Apart from the "normal"' visits to Herculaneum/ Pompei/Top of Vesuvius and Paestum we also spent a full day in the direct surroundings with climbs/footpaths with spectacular views and nice "old times" beachvillage Marina del Cantone. This was a wonderful day ! a bit quiet in the hotel, since we were the only guests for a couple of days. Time it takes to travel ( very slow traffic on long winding road) to and from the peninsula/ Sorrento to autostrada near Pompei , but this was our own choice of course.
Pizzas from Papa and Mamas biscuits for breakfast. Beeing a part of family. Superbe black vine (merlot) and home made ice cream (crocante). Salat "Caprese" of course. Rooms 1-5 are simpy beautiful.
The hotel was very clean. It was newly renovated. The people were really welcoming. It is a good example of a family run hotel. They had the sincerity of a family and professional service.
Extremely friendly and helpful family run the b&B. They make you feel very welcome and assist with any holiday planning queries. The Pic Nic restaurant attached makes amazing pizza and pasta. The rooms are very clean and tastefully decorated. We were very happy with our stay there. Hard to reach through busy windy narrow roads. Not very close to the surrounding beachside towns. Car is a must to get to hotel. Breakfast is ok but very basic.
manager and service, central location, value for money. nothing
clean and simple, no frills no fuss.Sonia there if needed. .breakfast would and could be better.
Staff really helpful and friendly and location just off Piazzo Tasso excellent. Apartment quite large and breakfast supplied. Quite noisy at night, especially around weekend, and early in morning with traffic
sonia, the owner was wonderful and answered all of our questions and tended to our every need. the room was very clean.the bath was a bit small but nothing to cancel our stay over.we stayed at another hotel while we visited sorrento but if we will visit again casa sorrentina will be the place for us. a bit noisy , but my husband who is a lite sleeper managed to fall asleep with no problem when the windows were closed/
An excellent location. We could walk out our door and be in the main street of Sorrento. The hotel was also close to the train station. Our studio room was very spacious. There weren't any wine glasses or a bread knife.
Room had all comforts that we were looking for.Location was great,in the middle of the city with easy walking distance to lots of sights.
large clean room, helpful owner, great facilities(cooking facilities, washing machine) plentiful breakfast supplies, great location, quiet room no
Location is excellent, just off the main plazza with loads of restuarants and shopping stores. 10 min from train station. Sonia was extremely helpful. The apartment was very modern and spacious with everything included. Continential breakfast supplies and miilk replenished daily. WIFI was great. Because it is in the centre of town, if you are a light sleeper, it may not be for you.
1)location - it is in town's center, very close to train station, port, etc. 2)room was large and comfortable 3)in room you can find your own kitchen 4)breakfast food was provided in room and was updated (added) every day. If you are very sensitive, then street noise could be a problem for you, as this hotel is in town's center
The room we had was huge, with one Queen-size bed, two Queen-size pull-out sofa beds, and a large bathroom. Our balcony conveniently overlooked one of the bustling shopping streets. However, most stores close by 9-10pm, so it was not noisy late at night. The room also came with a kitchenette and some food for breakfast. Sonia, who helps run Casa Sorrentina, was extremely helpful and friendly. Because Casa Sorrentina has fewer rooms, the owners are able to be personally cater to the needs of each guest. In our case, Sonia helped us call the airport Lost and Found multiple times order to locate our luggage, translating our questions for the service attendants. She also provided great recommendations for local restaurants and shopping. The shower was a little smaller than we are used to, but everything else was great!
the suite was new well furnished and the view was superb. the staff service was outstanding and the whole atmosphere was extraordinary maybe the price can be a little bit cheaper
Lovely setting for breakfast. Good fresh pasteries and juice at breakfast Not very well sign posted. Room small and dark.
We enjoyed the helpfulness and friendliness of the owners. Very obliging and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were very clean. Good location, walking distance into town.
owners were very friendly. nice breakfast. nice extra touches (satallite tv), yogurt with breakfast having to walk 3/4 of a mile through the heavy traffic (with the disappearing sidewalks!) from the town square to the hotel
An amazing place to stay...beautiful, clean, and the service was the best I have ever received at any hotel I have ever stayed at-and I travel a lot. The owner could not have been more kind and gracious. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding. Location was great, too-right by the train station, ferry to Capri, and tons of shops and restaurants-we were able to walk everywhere. We could have paid twice the price for this place and still felt like we were getting a bargain. I can't wait to go back!
the owners, the orchard, the breakfast - all lovely. The nearby main road is horribly and permanently congested - but alternate walking routes into town are available (just ask) and the traffic noise we feared was inaudible. We were eventually awoken at 8 a.m. by a crowing cockerel. Amazing!
The wonderful room especially the lemon garden and wonderful people
Well located, very friendly staff, excellent breakfest in a very nice garden.Clean and new facilities. Parking place. Hard to find - missing a good and clear sign to reach the place for the first time.
We loved the atmosphere of a small hotel offering quiet and comfortable surroundings, attentive staff and wonderful breakfasts that set us up for the activiities of the day in Sorrento.
the price the girl at the front was not available after we checked in - we could not find her that night or the next morning - as we checked out before breakfast. our fridge was broken, our showerhead was broken and i was concerned with safety when the gate was open everytime we left the b & b....
Hotel room is large and comfortable, especially the bath room. Very quiet and peaceful. Location can be hard to find since there was no street sign. The most convenient landmark is a gas station opposite the road that turns from the main drag to the hotel and a church on the right hand side of that road as you stand at the gas station, The person who supposed to provide us breakfast and check us out at 7:30 did not show up till 8:00. She just shrugged and said something about it's wasn't her fault. We ended up with no breakfast and have to hurry to get to the train station.
