Great location. Close to food, mall, shopping and highway. Good price and able to sleep six comfortably. Great welcome by staff.

Bathroom door was not able to close properly without jimmying and toilet seat was actually worn out. Minor, but you'd think housekeeping would have noticed sooner.

It was super clean and cozy . The bed were Ilya comply . Definitely will stay again it I'm in town.

I like the convenience of the location. The bed was comfortable and my room was clean. The staff did a great job even with the holidays to ensure we had everything we needed. We had an issue with the a/c unit the first night but they quickly relocated us to another room.

Space in the room, having a microwave and a fridge. There were also a lot of other amenities to make staying here a great value.

There needs to be more space for guests to ait at during the breakfast. It is very crowded.

The hotel was in a great location close to carowinds. In addition the staff was very friendly and took every opportunity to converse with my wife and I throughout our stay.

The rooms were clean and that they were in the process of upgrading their facilities. Breakfast was excellent!

Staff was a little short when we had issues getting into the room because of a default with the door, but the maintenance man was extremely helpful and polite.

Outside of Las Vegas, the best hotel I have ever stayed at. A newer property with every amenity, and old school southern hospitality. Instead of jumping on the 'hip, edgy, party ' bandwagon, the Ballantyne exudes the class and charm of a true luxury hotel. Located out of downtown, it's within 30 minutes of all Charlotte attractions. A real gem I'll return to many times.

The staff was awesome. For the cheap price tge facilities were actually really accommodating and cleaner than others.

This hotel was disgusting... I wasted money. I didn't even stay. Room smelled moldy and there were roaches there... I wasn't paying attention to the stars.The environment even felt unsafe. Never again!

The security on duty was very nice.

I had a smoking room because of the rate I could afford but the smell was horrible the the pillowner cases had lil stains on them, the remote didn't work for the tv and I saw a couple of big roaches....nasty! No plastic cups, used soap in bathroom

We loved the area, the staff, the room.

The toilet in our room would flush effectively so we couldn't user it. The hotel was unable to get maintenance to fix it till after we checked out. Since we booked our hotel through kayak, the hotel stars they could refund our stay our discount the price, which they wanted to do. So they tried to make it right with our choice of items from the snack area. I would have preferred a monetary reimbursement.

Located in nice area with plenty of shops and food! Room was very nice and quiet.

Traveling with small children can be stressful; however, our stay at Courtyard Marriott made it exquisite. The room had a sofa bed, in addition to the king bed, which came in handy for my small children. The bed was extremely comfortable & the room was exceptionally clean. Only con was the room didn't have a microwave. A pro was the hotel is only 15 min away from Carowinds. Overall, satisfactory experience at this hotel.

We were at the whitewater center, wish it was closer. But we would stay there again.

Shower did not work well- stains all over carpet.

As soon as I walked into the room we found that the ceiling was coming down. We also found bed bugs in the bed. Had to find another room at another location for the night.

Everything seemed nice, staff were friendly, room was very nice but....Strike One: We were placed in a room with a Massive, Room Shaking, Sleep Robbing A/C Unit the size of a large truck. Strike Two: The Fire Alarm went off and could not be turned off for an extended time. Strike Three: The Pool was closed for unnamed reasons..... The management refused to consider a rebate or in anyway make amends. So Three Strikes You Are Out Sonesta ES

Staff was beyond friendly! Rooms were very clean and the little kitchen was an awesome addition! I left my baby's little fox stuffed animal and when I called back to get it, the man who answered the phone was so friendly and helpful and very funny!!! The staff is wonderful! Worth the money!

Clean room. Nice breakfast.

We decided to stay at this hotel because it was advertised as a suite with a pull out sleeper sofa in addition to the beds. It was not! When we inquired at the front desk, with our printed receipt stating the amenities, the front desk lady said they don't have but one room like that, which is the King suite and costs extra. Very frustrating!! Two of my kids, who were going to sleep on the sleeper sofa, had to sleep on the floor. Very disappointing!!

I had bought a late night food plate and I wanted to heat it up in my room and the microwave was not working. I found out later the microwave was not plugged in. That should not have been my job to figure out why it did not work. no maintenance man on dut

The doors room key doesn't work for a lot of rooms. They said that it was an ongoing issue. So everytime my wife and I left the room we had to wait 15 to 20 mins for the front desk person to come open it. Then their was only 1 of them and they had to do check ins at the same time. All together we wasted about 3 maybe even 4 hrs of our stay waiting to get in the room we paid for. We ask two days for a manager and they always said he wasn't on site. Then the front desk ppl caught attitudes because they had to walk us up to our rooms a lot. They could have said they had issues with their doors and I would have went across the street to the other hotel.

Room/bathroom was a bit small. Bathroom door opened outward and blocked the entrance door.

Cleanliness! Bathtub was visibly filthy, this was our second room.

The room was fairly clean.

The bathtub had countless burn marks. There was no ice machine or vending. If it wasn't for the convenient store across the street, I would've starved. The location was far from ideal. I ended up getting another room the next day $20 cheaper and five minutes from downtown. For $80 definitely not worth it.
