Location great. Staff driendly
Pros. Great location. Downtown Portland is very nice Great staff Free coffee
Cons. Bed/Pillows weren't the best, but did the job
Pros. Room was very clean and was ready early.
Cons. The restaurant wasn't very good and their wait staff was horrible.
Cons. It was a big disappointment. The hotel was very dated, and the front desk staff was cold/unfriendly. This hotel should have cost below $100. Instead, we paid approx $375.
Pros. Location is ok, on the edge of easy walking distance to the Old Port area.
Cons. For the price would have expected bigger, nicer rooms. It was just "ok", not a great value for the price paid.
Pros. Best all around hotel stay in the area
Pros. Good location. Spacious room. Great view. The window in our room needed replacing, could have been an even better view. Good TV, comfortable bed with choices of pillows. We didn't eat at restaurant in hotel since it did not get good reviews.
Pros. There were no frills but my overnight stay was comfortable and refreshing. location right between Old Port and the Arts District was great.
Cons. No snack machines, just soda machines
Pros. It was clean, quiet and had a great view of the bay. The staff was professional ,friendly and helpful. Loved the snacks at the front desk.
Cons. Was not happy at how much the room price was for the weekend we were there. Looked like a great deal until I put in my date of arrival. We went after Columbus day to avoid the crowds and high prices. No crowds but hotel price was high.
Pros. Location.
Cons. Poor value. Super expensive for what you get. I was stuck in a smoking room because Kayak's system (or the booking one - whatever) doesn't make it obvious that the room is smoking. There shod be a huge notice that the room being booked is a smoking room. Weird smells throughout... Room "mostly" clean. Internet didn't work and when I reported it I was given a support number to call. Sitting on the phone for an hour (which didn't solve the problem) was a big waste of my time. I stayed at the Westin after this place and it was night and day. They obviously train there staff at the Westin because from checkin to cleaning people they were helpful, courteous, and friendly. Everything about the Holiday Inn lacked, the Westin excelled at . Stay there instead.
